It is beautiful and now that you've done all the hard work I'll share a secret if you build a mountain of compost more than 3 x 3 you can throw some of your seeds in and they sprout the chicken will work the compost for the sprouts and insects and you will have little turning of compost.. they will scratch it up. It's fun for them and will keep them warm in the winter. They love apples too!! Always impressed keep up the good work. Sean @ edibleacres on YT has great videos. HTH.
Oh WOW, this is such a great idea! I have been doing leaves this week and creating a big pile for them before adding to the bin. It did get warm a few days here so I had a chance to mow a huge area and collect some all important grass before winter. Definitely going to add some seeds and let the chickens go to town! Cheers
Thanks! It has proven to be a pretty great investment so far. We get the wood from a Mennonite community near here and some of it is milled from local timber. I've recently brought wind fallen trees out there and the milled it for me extremely cheap. I am planning on making some benches. Cheers!
Another entertaining and informative video. An excellent build out for the compost shed. I linked up with with B in Portland for a shared meal and then headed back home to SFO From Holiday travels. Kind Regards, to Dad Cheers, Mate.
Thank you very much!! This one has been a great addition going into winter, especially after cleaning out the garden area. I really appreciate the comment and hope your weekend is amazing!
Would be nice to see the final result with doors and full bins. I like the size and roof construction. Your probably not afraid of the wind blowing it over due to all them trees... 😎
The ending was funny!!!

Now that’s what I call a compost bin 👍
Lol, thanks. Needed to build for long term to help with food production. It gets a little better each year.
