Fun fact about Boises offensive line, they played most of the season (including the first UNLV game) without 4 starters who were out with injury, they just got their 2 best O-linemen back in the last 2 weeks and their backups now have quality reps and experience so the line play shouldn't be a cause for concern.
Jeanty is going to rush for over 175 likely 190ish. He got hurt in first unlv game and as others point out a lot of starters where injured most will be back for this game
We fans also haven't been fans of the oline lately, however BSU was playing some 2nd/3rd stringers, including against UNLV the first time. Full starting line is back this week, it will be a difference
Going to be a great game with a lot at stake. Two things: 1) Jeanty was playing injured against UNLV in the first game, still getting 128 yards. 2) The Boise line has not been a full strength, but have a couple offensive line starters back for this game, which should help our running game extensively. Gonna be great!
U! N! L! V! Lets fucking goooooooo. Feels so good to not suck. I went to so many games in undergrad, stuck by rebel football through a very long streak of very bad years. So excited for this program. If it were a stock id be buying like mad.
Boise has been heavily fogged in yesterday and especially today (Thursday). The Broncos typically play well in bad weather and have other advantages in addition to home field. Still, UNLV is a terrific team. I have no idea who will win. But with a healthier O line and healthier Jeanty, expect him to have a big day. Go Broncos!
BSU is 19-2 at home for conference games. O line is almost all back from injury, Tuebner-sorely missed-likely will play. BSU is fielding a massive 12th man with Bronco Nation, Jeanty healthier and best RB in country. Koetter dialed tighter than ever. Tough game but UNLV is going down.
@@dawsonschilz I think it was a Coach press conference and a brief mention when asked about injuries. Have been watching every day and nothing new as of last night.
Yeah, Boise has done incredible things with a lot of depth. More than half the O Line out for half the season, many back this game. No Teubner, but Oladippo has killed it. UNLV doesn't have that depth. Plus, fun fact, it's gonna be cold as Joe Bidens pardon reception at this game.
Boise State Broncos are a tough, physical elite team! They should beat UNLV and be the 4 seed in the CFP. Back to back Mountain West Conference Championships for Boise State. Ashton Jeanty = Heisman
@@RobertRatliff How many times did UNLV beat BSU in the last 10 years? Yeah that’s what I thought. Mark my words, bookmark this post, AJ will run over the entire UNLV defense! 👍
You clearly didn’t do your research for this game guys. Yes thier O-line has been weaker because they have 3 other starter out the last 7 game (including thier center) 2 of them are back and healthy. The run blocking will be outrageously better this time around. Jeanty will be over 200 yards
Last year, UNLV was intimidated by Boise. Game 1 this year, UNLV wanted to stay in it. None of those are true for this game. UNLV seems to be the better team right now. With that said, Boise has nothing but my total respect as a program, personnel, and fan base.
There isn't a more intimidating stadium to play football in than BSU's stadium and not just because of the blue turf... It's an echo chamber where BSU's fan base make it impossible for the away-team's offense to verbally call out their pre-snap commands. Historically Las Vegas has never been kind to UNLV's football program. The basketball team had the Thomas & Mack Ctr and the football team had a field somewhere in Henderson (e.g., "Go play in the neighbors back yard kids.") I attended UNLV in the 1990s and this was ovious back then! It's a shame that it took Alegent Stadium & an NFL program that is desperately trying not to tank to get Clark County Commissioners to ask "I wonder why our residents don't give a f.k about football?" and then FINALLY realize *It's because we've been abhorrent to UNLV's football program and trained our local fanbase to ignore them." Thank God this is finally changing, but UNLV is not at BSU's level yet and it's not going to improve for them on Boise States home turf.
Also keep in mind Boise has been without 2 of their starting offensive linemen that are returning this week, And it’s looking like Boise is getting teubner back who is an absolute heat seeking missile, Boise wins this game by 20+
I disagree with this guy. I think they should run it more on first down. If you look at the 3 and outs that Boise has it usually starts with a missed pass attempt on 1st down
Right now UNLV looks like the better team. Aside from that game in the bad wind and rain up in sjsu. Boise has been struggling, since they last played.
This will be the first game Boise State will have all of their 5 starting OL since week 1. Just an FYI to the dude in the backwards hat. You have been watching a majority back up OL for most of the season, bud.
Boise has not their O line starting together since the first game. They will all be starting tonight. It is Ashton's last game on the Blue, the key will be 3rd down conversations and Boise is really good at them, both throwing and running. Boise is use to this stage and will show it tonight. I will take Boise by 14.
I think this game will go more like last year's MWC Championship game. The Broncos will put Andrew Simpson or Notrianni on JMW as a spy and hold him to under 60 yards rushing. He will throw at least one pick and fumble on a sack or short run for at least 2 turnovers. Broncos by 17 in a game that's never in question.
@@PFFCFB right I don’t understand all these NFL self proclaimed gurus saying he is not a top 5 pick I can see a team that needs a QB passing on him but anyone else picking that high should take him. I was thinking of this too! I’m so surprised this wasn’t mentioned more. Today was 70° in vegas while Boise was low 30s. It’ll be interesting but I think UNLV will still prevail.
Idk where you're getting your stats from, but Boise State's secondary has been abysmal this year. Also their running defense has been exceptional ranking 17th in the nation, only allowing 106.6 ypg behind UNLV's 101.1
UNLV is good Boise still top dog to beat. Boise missing a few O lineman and lost Jeanty plus I believe had no Caples for receiving in the last one. Shore that up and give us about 35,000 screaming fans and we are in good shape. Critiques thought UNLV had the more well rounded team in the last game and in their stadium it didn’t end well for them they had better figure it out because Boise will be throwing in the kitchen sink for this one
UNLV Stacked 9 in the box and BSU ran it up the middle 99% of the run plays they had. NINE IN THE BOX. Madsen needs to put his big boy pants on and not force throws... Dirk K. has this locked down and we have these jokers at home. They couldn't close us out last year, or this year, what in the hell do they think will happen in our house? UNLV going to the LA Bowl after this L.
In the 1st game. WR Jacob DeJesus was off (injured?) He had 6 yards? He's a big part of their WR group. He's back and playing great. UNLV had a BS unnecessary roughness call in the 4th quarter go against them that stalled a drive. UNLV had 2 leads, and Hajj Malik was starting his 5th game. He has more experience now. Most exciting game of the weekend…can Jeanty warm the Heisman with one final prove it game against the best defense in the conference
He might have a chance if he goes off for like +200 yards but it'll be close
