I'm freaking a bit here, at 0:32, where his son pulls off the road out in the desert, my house is up on that mountain behind him, I can point to the spot where our road is! In 2013, a year before this was filmed we had a devastating wildfire. That's why the mountain looks charred, because it was. It is beautiful here again, at least until the next numbskull starts another wildfire. OH! The dinosaurs! I can see those from my front porch if I use binoculars. The T-Rex is now painted with a Pee Wee Herman suit and bowtie (it's darlin') and the brontosaurus is painted pink, I think as a fundraiser for breast cancer a few years ago. I've got to send this to family back in Texas who have trouble visualizing this weird place that I've lived at for 18 years. I love it, I finally found a home that's as weird as me!🤪
Yes. There’s also Jon Voight born 1938. For 7 seasons played Mickey Donovan: character was in the main cast … in the role of father of the protagonist Ray Donovan, the eponym. And Alan Alda born jan 28, 1936. he played the character of the therapist of Ray Donovan. Elliott (main cast) born August 1938. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Since it had Valerie Harper in it, I had to see when it was made, since she's been gone for several years. This film was made in 2014. Still enjoyable!
“And they’re paying their own airfare”!! The funniest line!! So true of us “adult” kids!! This is the first time I’ve seen the names of musicians listed in the credits of a movie/video production - THANK YOU!!!!
Yes! Great movie still after all these years and I watch it yearly. I am so thankful I grew up with the movies and shows made by these actors. RIP Valerie and Glenne both excellent actresses. FYI, check out the movie The Amateurs which has Glenne in it and Jeff Bridges and many well known actors. It's a great movie about a bunch of odd balls in a small town.
@@seanmarquis2216about to say, I thought I remembered it from a few years ago. He started aging rapidly when he hit his mid-90s. I mean, it’s what happens with age.
Me too, as soon as I saw his face I had to see what’s up. I had a small feeling that he was faking. That maybe a dirty way to to get your family together for Christmas but a good father does what it takes to keep them together. 🤣🤭
This delightful video is from 2015. It was driving me crazy, as to whether this was from an old joke or the joke originated with this video. "Old joke" wins.
It was such a beautiful and warm tribute to watch. Can't wait to hear the song at the end that Chris so easily created to be sung next year at Dick's 100th year celebration!!
Heads up to fans of this beautiful man, put a box of tissues nearby before watching the Coldplay video if you're like me and get easily and emotionally verklempt! I was so moved, I was doing the ugly cry by the end of it. There is so much real LOVE packed into that video! 😍
As a teenager, Valerie Harper and Gilda Radner were my favorite actresses, and I wanted to be like them and make people laugh. They were both beautiful funny ladies who made the world a bit brighter.
2015? Ah ok, so just before Mathew Modine started doing Stranger Things. He actually looks older on this, even though I assumed they had aged him up for Stranger Things.
Mary Poppins was on tv the other night and I saw it when released in 1966 with my sister and mom and nana, and I still knew the words to sing along with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I am 70.
Yes,I usually can not stand the hallmark or lifetime Christmas movies with all the move to old/new town fall in love with someone parents or kids fix them up with and always some cutsie little couple 🤮. But I love this, this kind of thing would be welcomed for sure,I'd actually sit through it.
Under the mask of comedy, its a film about sadness: they raise successful children, then they have to actually pay for their coming back to see them. I hear things in America are different-kids are expected to be more independent, but in Europe i expect things will be perceived as even sadder😢 We take parents for granted, we dont realise how much we rely on them for our stability -until they are hit by the "earthquakes" of life: divorce ,death etc.We have the excuse of '"the rat race". They have to turn into clowns to see us. The film also shows how much they mean to our identity-old as they be, they still can pull the ropes of our souls.
The iPhone at 2:35 says 30-pin connector, therefore at latest this could be an iPhone 4S (2011). This definitely has early 2010's energy. According to Wikipedia, Merry Xmas was released 19 April 2015.
Honestly it’s an entire hallmark movie in 4 minutes with way more talent and charm. Merry Christmas everyone.
😄♥️
It really was! What a gem!
Edgy for a Hallmark film, but I'll take it.
Then again, Hallmark did their version of Cleopatra and that was edgy too.
True that!

God bless this national treasure of a man. He's still the same guy we love.
He’s JUST THE SAME!!!
Clicked the video immediately when I saw him in the thumbnail.
Love this! Thank you!!!
A national treasure ! Our hometown guy from Danville , Il. ! 💙
He needs to do more stuff ❤
Protect this legend at all costs. Now that Betty White is gone there are almost no working actors left from this generation. You are amazing Dick!
He’s amazing and still “has it”!

"and they're paying their own airfare" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Knew what the joke was right from the start... still worth the watch! Perfectly portrayed!
He looks 20 years younger without the beard. Still like to watch Chitty Chitty Bang during the holidays. Written by Sir Ian Fleming, before Bond.

This came out in 2014 he was ten years younger and Valerie Harper was still alive.
And wild that Roald Dahl of Charlie and the Choc Factory wrote a James Bond film. You only live Twice.

The only guy that can rival the eye gleam of Santa. Dick is still the gift that keeps giving. Bravo.😁
That's what she said
"55 years of marriage, that much misery is all I can take" Lol!
This is incredible. Walking, talking, dancing, functional... _98 years old!_ I mean, he looks like an _older_ man, but not an _old_ man.
Such a fantastic rendition of an old joke! You know the punchline after 15 seconds, but it's so fun watching the journey!
Thank-you all for the smiles and the marvelous talent that was/is Valerie Harper.

It's good to see that Dick's hearing is still pristine. The ability to hear the phone while the receiver is at your ear is something not everyone has.
Brilliant writing and acting. Hilarious!
The son of his, who played the cop on _Diagnosis Murder,_ was my teacher, when I was in the 2nd grade, back in 1972. He was a student teacher.
