Police dismantle UC San Diego encampment, arrest protestors on campus

- Police have started tearing down the UC San Diego "Gaza Solidarity" encampment that began last week on the campus' Library Walk.
Early Monday morning, a large police presence was seen surrounding the encampment. Students were seen being taken away by police in custody although it's not clear if any arrests have been made.
The group clearing out the camp included officers from San Diego Police Department, CHP, and the Sheriff's Department.

These encampments are students practicing for their homelessness after they graduate.

We should know the facts. The numbers about each university.
In University of Columbia there are over 30 000 students. Less than 1% protested but out of that 1% there was 40% non students.
It means less than 0.6% of Columbia students protested.
Even more reason they shouldn't have let them go along with taking over large swaths of campus and disrupt activity for so long. Sad!
