My issue is that ‘liberal’ is always presented as ‘good’ and ‘desirable’ and ‘right’ and conservatives presented as ‘bad’, ‘uneducated’ or just ‘haven’t got the memo yet’. And that’s objectionable to me (speaking as a ‘classical liberal’ with both left and right leanings on different topics). I loathe the quasi religious tribalism and irrationality of the modern Left as much as I always used to loathe it’s counterpart on the Right. Nowadays I seem to find conservatives far more reasonable and aligned with my values which feels weird but I can’t deny the truth. This is what college should be about. This is critical thinking. This is the interchange of ideas. Well done. Keep fighting the fight. There's truth on both sides. Showing the other side regardless of the push back and the political pressure is key to the truth. There is bravery shown hear and that is admirable.

You've taught well, but I don't think your students have learned from this lesson. I was invigorated at the start, but I was also demoralized by the end.

This word, is like magic. If you are white or even simply not black. Use this word and watch your livelihood disappear. Now that is power.
