  • Wolfram Ullrich is the first of the Dep Art Gallery artists invited to create a site-specific installation for Dep Art Out.
The artist proposes a new production titled GAP, a word that indicates empty space, working in an alternation of space and non-space. The work is made of iron, left to rust by the very air that passes through it. This is Wolfram Ullrich's homage to the territory. For once, he lends his artistic research, expressed in the rigour of constructivist-derived geometry, to an interaction with nature and the territory.

Molto interessante il lavoro di Ullrich, ma intrigante il pensiero che sta dietro l'installazione. Luigi Cavadini

Interesting contrasts. I am noticing how the aesthetic sense was much more organic back then and how the aesthetics changed over time. This sense has become less organic over time and it reflects very well in the geometrical sculptures present inside the space. This inorganic geometry has gradually taken over the world in all domains -
from architecture to contemporary ways of thinking. Fortunately there is a comeback to organic ways of art originating from a more living kind of thinking.
