This is one of the best videos you’ve done. Makes me want a Potato Jet Podcast.
PotatoCast!!!
3 hours podcast like "The Nine Club"
@@ShawnKoh or Pod jet
ultimately that's what creators settle for. these guys know how to create stories with photos and videos ( great to have acquaintances and friends who share your passions ) . at this point a podcast is irrelevant. then again this video is a podcast with more energy.
FACTS !
Jerry, Gene and Sam have inspired me to create a continuous documentary UA-cam channel, about my sick and suffering father who is a Great Story teller, Saddle Maker, Leather Crafter and Businessman. He now helps me in his retirement with my small leather goods shop. I want my Dad to make and teach how to build leather goods while intermixing telling his many interesting, funny and serious life stories. I also want to document the last year or so of the day to day exchanges we have in order to capture the time I have left with my beloved Dad. I want to give, seek and receive support from others who will share their stories with me about loved ones who don't have a lot of time. I believe an amazing exchange and support family could be created to help us all. You Tube has that power to reach many like me and can help us all. Thank you Jerry, Gene and Sam your video is proof of this power.
This has to be the most interesting and fulfilling interview I have ever seen
Wow, you have come a long way and really are missing your calling
Thanks so much & Best regards, rick
totally agreed!!
While I was watching I was thinking the same thing: unusually funny and smart and fun. Thanks Gene and Jerry.
he has another one from months ago. Check this out too. That was so cool too!!
Rick Vestuto rightttt?
My thoughts exactly. I would like to see more of this.
THIS WAS AMAZING. I love all your videos but what I love is your desire to connect, learn from and expose us to other creators making waves and laying paths in this industry. Thanks Gene
What a great story and perspective. Thanks all!
My favorite ep. yet! I love the interview with Jerry Henry. Love hearing his perspective on docos, the people he shot and his attitude towards projects and cameras.
These interviews are easily some of my favorite content on your channel. Keep em coming! Super cool to get an inside look on what industry professionals are doing, how they do it, and most importantly why they do it.
This was probably my favourite video of yours in a long time. I hope you keep heading in this direction -- everyone does camera reviews!
I've been watching you for a while and I love al of your videos. This is probably my favorite out of all. I'm about 15 minutes in and feel as though I've learned so much just by listening to you all speak and share knowledge. Most definitely keep this up man.
Imagine him being in a room with Dre and Dre just goes "Man im nervous..." and Jerry answers "Yeah man me too, i forgot to press the record button"
🤣🤣🤣
This couldn’t have come at the more perfect time! I am starting to research documentary filmmaking and planning one for next year. Thank you so much for doing this!!!
This has to be the realest video on UA-cam.Jerry sounds very humble and answered a lot of questions that I always question myself on. great information and behind-the-scenes information was so dope
Such a brilliant and humble person ! "Everyone has as a story !"
That was an incredible piece. You brought him to such a comfort level and he really opened up. Super great job !!
Thumbs up if ya'll want Gene to start a Podcast called PotatoCast!
Hells ya!!!
Retweet.
Tater talk.
@@donprice8925 haha took me awhile but i got it hhahaha
@@ShawnKoh I don't get it, please explain
This is great. I’m glad I stumble upon it. Thank you!
WOW! I really love this interview with Jerry Henry. I really wanted more. Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm a first responder I had a long day today. But this video has helped me to relax. Thank you. I hope that you will continue to do this type of work once a month. Once again thank you Potato Jet.
Gerry seems a real beaut bloke so thanks for introducing him to us, Gene. His talent, like yours, seems amazing and the fact that he is so down-to-earth adds to his appeal. Thanks for sharing this interview. Kudos to all 3 of you gentlemen. Pete
I love this interview watched it all the way through. Most memorable thing said, "The camera is a tool learn how to work ur tool." 10,000 hr expert. Wow! This was powerful!
This has held true for me! My Canon m50 markii is looking reaaal fine because of this reason. Even compared to the fs7 markii that my friends were shooting on!
@@ezrarichardson279 facts I have the first Canon M50 and I've learned how to shoot with it better
Gene, this interview was fantastic! Make more of these...lots and lots more of these!
I got so much out of this discussion! You should do more content like this every once in a while!
Wow! I really enjoyed this. Thank you 👏
THIS. Is by FAR. The BEST video that you've placed on your page. This was so real. So gritty. So informative. I LOVED IT. I will never forget when I stumbled on your page, and I was hesitant to subscribe. I'm so glad that I did.
Maaaaan, this is the best video I've seen in a VERY long time. Super inspiring man. Thank you all for taking the time to make this video!

I'm new to this all and stumbled upon this interview and i'm all in. This was EPIC and really inspirational. Gonna start shooting and building a catalogue
This interview was incredible! Jerry's so interesting, so good to hear his point of view on Doc filmmaking.
Cactus eyelash that is such a cool job, love those stories!
Great video. I have always described documentary film making like creating the clay for a sculpture before you sculpt the statue. It's very organic and a labor of love.
Totally loved this one! Such a great interview. I would watch more of these.
I like this guy. Getting inspired advice toward the end.
have him back again, would ya!
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks hugely!
This ep was awesome... Mr. Potato, thanks for the wonderful content
This was exciting for me because I’m currently shooting my own documentary using a Canon M50. I absolutely love how this video was put together!!! Thank you, you have become my go to camera channel
awesome interview Potato Jet... keep making these cool insights within the industry!!
This is absolute gold. Thanks for sharing this.
This is a phenomenal sit-down man. It’s really really good. I love how y’all guide and get out of the way for him to glide. His stories and how he tells them. So good. Reminds me of The Combat Jack Show. Please do more. I am Cameroonian creative (living & working in Cameroon ) and a huuuge hip-hop fan. It’s like this episode was made with me in mind. Please do more. Phenomenal job.
Great interview! great stories.. great Patato Jet :) and great respect to Cactus Eyelash!
A member of our congregation was the primary videographer for David Suzuki's series The Nature of Things. How memorable a career that must be. It was so rare to have him at home, mostly all over the world covering wildlife. He was a real gentleman too.
I never heard of cactus eyelash before. That was great interview.
I loved every minute of this episode. Hearing how he started bf where it’s all gotten him was really inspiring to me as a filmmaker. I would love to see more content like this and I have Henry a follow! That dude is a beast
Totally enjoyed this one. 30+ minutes well spent. Interesting topic and guest.. and I must say you are a pretty good interviewer.. not bad for a little kid in the movie UP to this.. congrats
This is unbelievably good. Awesome job Gene
Great interview @PotatoJet. Jerry Henry is definitely an OG in doc cinema.
That was probably my favorite video you’ve made. Thanks man!
Seriously...best video yet! Very informative!

This is a fantastic interview. I’d love to see more with him, he’s got a lot of good advice!! Start a podcast!
Wow!! 🙏🏾 Thank you for this!! So we'll done!
Outstanding content. Thanks Potato Jet!
Beautiful. Light-hearted unscripted approach with lots of insights from a legit vetrean.... Priceless!
I clicked on your video as I usually do and was expecting a killer tutorial or review in typical hilarious Potato Jet fashion. I didn't get that.. What I got was a late night style, 2 camera, Sam as a co-host, off to the side, awesome interview.. You nailed this one and you can't go back now. 🔥👍🏽
This was a really great conversation! Thanks so much for sharing!
Never find myself capable of sitting down to listen to a whole podcast like this. But the topics and discussions were top notch, great content.
Jerry Henry! 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'! It was fantastic... now I want to go watch the rest of your work.
So inspiring Jerry! Awesome interview all around and gave me some great tips to think about when I start shooting a doc this fall.
This was freakin' awesome! Thank you Gene & Sam for a snippet into Jerry's story.
Dude, this was really, really good! Thanks for making it
Dope! Probably my favorite video you’ve uploaded. Great to get an insight
Oh man, that's awesome. I love Exit Through The Gift Shop
Thank you this Gene. It is what I needed to help me stay focused on my audio and video work.
This was so good!😍 I enjoyed it, very interesting and informative 🙏🏻
This! Do more of this! Videos like this one are gold!
Jerry was an amazing guest! Please do more of these interviews. It’s like a free MasterClass episode!
Jerry Henry! Congrats on the success man. Words of wisdom. Go Bruins!
Can you please please please do more camera person interviews, just loved this, it was like reading a good book, couldn't put it down, thank you!
That was amazing! Thank you so much.
More please. Great change of direction with this interview!
Man thank you so much for making this Jet, I learned a lot from this conversation, excellent insights.
This is such a true and real interview. Love it. Doc shooters are amazing.
Extremely interesting. Please do more. The interest grew when Sam participated in the conversation with his insightful questions. I really like the advice Jerry gave about shooting the audience reaction first, which I image he is inferring grab the emotional response that pulls the viewer into the story. Love this interview and it definitely was NOT too long. Could have listened for another hour.
Such a great value content !
Getting to know the path of a great professionnal : priceless !
Then... yet another proof you can create extraordinary content with crap gear. What matters is what you convey, what you intend to bring to your (supposed, expected, dreamt) audience. Once again you have proven it. Thank you.
Awesome interview Potato and Sam, so fun to watch!
Absolutely great! Good post. Thank you.
I definitely love to see another Documentary related video like this! Great job potatoe❤️❤️
Watched that interview from Montreal! Really awesome! Thx guys!!!
Great interview! Thx Jerry for all the great stories & tips :)
