I love Peace Cafe. The tofu katsu is good, but next time try the tempeh katsu. It's amazing! The vegan poke at Island Vintage Coffee looks yummy. I want to try that. The green veggies in the poke are sea asparagus. I hardly see that being sold anywhere. And of course Down to Earth is always good. Their Okinawan sweet potato salad is a favorite of mine. Great video!

I clicked as soon as I saw peace cafe’s katsu plate 😋they also have a tempeh katsu curry plate that’s soooooo good! There’s also a vegan sushi restaurant here too! If you ever visit again you should check them out as well as Vegan Hills in Kaimuki 😊

@@hannas1958 There are a lot of vegan restaurants in Honolulu which is on the island of Oahu. I can't speak for the other islands like Kauai, Maui, or Big Island since I rarely visit. A lot of restaurants on Oahu that are not exclusively vegan still have vegan options. It usually says on the menu what is vegan and what isn't. I would go to the newer/more trendy looking places as they usually have the most options. Acai bowls without honey are usually vegan, sandwich places usually have vegan options. The hot food section at Whole Foods has both vegan and non-vegan options. You don't need to worry, we have a plenty of vegan food options here.

Island Vintage has THE BEST acai bowls!! Doraku is definitely a traditional sushi restaurant. Next trip try Tane, it's an all-vegan sushi spot in Honolulu.

Oh man, this makes me miss Hawaii. I went in 2010 before I stopped eating meat. I would love to go back and visit again now! I stayed on Waikiki Beach and visited many of the same places you did. I loved to see all of the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. It was the bluest water I've ever seen.
Yeah!!! Down to Earth has a great selection at the buffet. Haven’t been there in a year, but went to Whole Foods next door, in Kailua. Their buffet was limited to bentos. Covid safety I guess. Enjoyed your video of cruising my island and eating vegan dishes! I did NOT know that Dole whip was vegan friendly. Just know that I love it!!!

OMG I went up to the Koko Head very early in the morning and we arrived at the top with sunrise. As you probably can imagine, it was a magical experience. Climbing up that old railway was really not easy and it was so rewarding to get at the top and see the view with that gorgeous sunrise. Oh men how I'd love to go back to Hawaii. Did you think also that going down the Koko Head was very boring and seemed endless? Hahaha
Does Canada have the Dole Whip as well? I don't know where to find it anywhere and I wish I could! Also, I definitely need to try some Acai Bowls as I've never tried them!

@@hannas1958 From my experience: It depends on the restaurants you go to, but we went to many non-vegan restaurants and there was almost always a veggie burger (might have to ask for no cheese), a big salad, fresh fruit, or some sort of rice and veggie dish

I did the koko head hike last year and it it’s one of the hardest hike I’ve done 😂 well... technically i’ve done more difficult but the koko head is just so steep all the way and going down is so scary 😂 I am going back to hawaii with my familly (when it will be possible) and i wont go with them to this hike again 😂 once in a lifetime is enough for me hahaa I’ll go to the beach in the meantime instead hahaha

Here in PA we have a gas station called Sheetz and they sell dole whip for 1.59 to fill up a 16oz bowl.

I did the koko head hike last year and it it’s one of the hardest hike I’ve done 😂 well... technically i’ve done more difficult but the koko head is just so steep all the way and going down is so scary 😂 I am going back to hawaii with my familly (when it will be possible) and i wont go with them to this hike again 😂 once in a lifetime is enough for me hahaa I’ll go to the beach in the meantime instead hahaha
