Thank you for putting this CM up. I was able to transform my 1/35 legioss fighter from robot to plane mode ♥ Informative and useful even after 13 years of being uploaded! ✌
Had this as a kid and loved it! Played with it for years but I don't have it anymore. My parents bought it for me even though they didn't have alot of money.
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I love any assistance you can give me!
A regret shared by many. Yes the modern toys have a level of accuracy the Ride Armor and this toy can never match but lack the heft and charm of these in our hearts.
What sad is when i was kid i got Blue, 2 Green version of THIS toy and the Cyclone rider as well from import toy store when i was a kid. Still have them sort of
The pain of having battered examples from your youth, but having kept them pristine in box as a child have been as fun? In my case I never saw them in the flesh here in Australia when I was young, getting them as teenager meant more care but arguably less fun.
Wow, I had that blue one when I was a kid in the 80s, I also had a smaller red one later... I don't know how the hell I got them back then here in germany... and I don't know what happened to them, lol
I remember seeing this in a german toy catalog and it just said Robot. Nothing more and had no idea from what it was? It looked like a Transformer but wasn't. Confusing times for kids or just mashing up toy lines.
I remember as a kid going through a Kaufhof or Horten - I watched Robotech on Super Channel here in Germany and I saw one lonely Stick with Ride Armor on the shelves.
i had both of these when i was a kid... just remember in half-jet mode it could never stand properly with the heavy cockpit..... and the bike armor, the man could never ride on bike looking good for his legs were too long (even with the legs could be shortened)
I had the Mars Base (blue) version, this very same one. The problem with it, unfortunately, is that too much play would wear down the ratcheting so arms, wings, legs wouldn't stay in where you wanted them to remain after a while.

It was the sturdy kid friendly toy.
I have this piece still in the box with absolutely no play to them. Its my treasure.
I'd never be able to do that, well... not unless I had a non-pristine example for display play purposes.

Had the green version huge toy
For all their detailing the current Legioss toys just lack the sheer heft of these to my mind.
Little known fact- Japanese toys are so well built that they fire actual lasers.
i had a model kit of one of these as a kid, it was sold as a GOBOTS Leader-1 model for some reason
Same reason as a VF-1 toy became Jetfire, international rights can be a wacky thing at times.
Great toy!!
Soldier boys!!!

This vintage toy is still far superior in build quality to the Toynami Masterpiece Alpha, Aoshima Legioss, and CM Brave Legioss toys.
Sentinel says hi.
The Riobot version blew it out of the water.
i have the blue one but with fixed pilot in cockpit. Thing is 1/35 huge!

Likely mashing up, the later Heshin Robo release was bit more generic and downplayed the Mospeada or Robotech branding of the main releases.

I need this legioss !!!!!
Think every viewer of this video would agree with that!

yes, they were good toys for their time but representative of the compromises required with the technical quality of the time.

The cost of how heavy its limbs were, though probably less fragile than some of the more recent toys. The price of more detail I guess.
ベジータの声優の堀川りょうさんみたいな声だけどどうなんだろ?
@michaelcabrera These are made in Japan and the other ones are made in China.

So true!
Where's the beta fighter ad then
Sadly nothing to the same standard for the Tread
I don't know why don't they look in srw games
Other more popular franchises to mine sadly :(
