Great video. Just wondering 1 year on from your video are you still using the drying pod? If yes are you seeing mold appear around your home?

Thanks! I use it on and off, I also dry a lot of stuff on the radiator if it's on. Towels and heavy stuff just doesn't work well in the pod. Also, difficult to say as we experience damp in our home anyway as it's Victorian and near the coast. In the area we have the pod, we don't experience additional damp though.

I’m surprised it’s cheaper than using gas. I could get about three hours of gas heating for just over £1, although I do have mine set to a low flow temperature.
I do wonder if this is better than just using a dehumidifier and drying the washing slowly, as that will also prevent the mould in houses that are susceptible. I assume the moisture is still escaping into the room with this device, otherwise the clothes wouldn’t dry.

Interesting and wow! I guess it depends on the provider, it's around £2 for just over an hour heating for us. We do have a dehumidifier on everyday anyway as the damp is so bad in our Victorian home, drying the washing was taking days to dry but was making the mould even worse. The drying pod does still escape moisture from the top of course, so we position this in the least affected room with the window open, but the drying time is so much faster and doesn't bring as much moisture into the air like the washing was on a drying horse for days.

@@NicoleSage do you have an old boiler? Mine is a condenser, although in fairness I’ve turned all the radiators off downstairs and we just chill out in the main bedroom upstairs. If it would cost £2 an hour to live downstairs I don’t think I’d be getting value for money, even though that would obviously be preferable.
My house is about 100 years old. It doesn’t have any cavity wall insulation but (fingers crossed) I haven’t noticed any mould yet.

I would not put towels with clothes to dry hold to much water put towels on xtra spin dry

Where is all the water going? Into the room?

Steam evaporates out the top, but it’s not the same as hanging soaking washing on a radiator for example and personally didn’t notice any mould by using it, but depends on the house!
