I started FDing them a couple of years ago, they are great!! I cut them up into 4 pieces each so I can get more on the trays. Enjoy!!

I cook several zucchini breads each year with all the extra zucchini and put the loaves in the freezer. But this year we had the ability to freeze dry bite size pieces and they were amazing. 😋
I have the 5 tray Harvest right and have never used it! Could you show how to use it from start to finish? Thank would be a great video to have for beginners. I have the oil free pump!

One of the best things about Krispy Kreme donuts is how they basically melt in your mouth.
We have the original recipe, "Crispie Creme" here in Chillicothe, Ohio, from which Krispie Creme" came from. Two men were in business together and one decided he wanted to be home with his wife and family instead of opening bakeries in other cities. One kept the recipe, and the other got the opportunity to sell franchises! If you're ever near here again, I'll buy you a dozen! 😊 You might try freezing them, but I don't think they'd make it to the Harvest Right!

As I sit here drinking a leftover can of soda from Thanksgiving, I wonder… can Dr. Pepper be freeze dried? That could be a fun treat and I wonder what it would be like re-hydrated? I’ve never done any freeze drying myself, but have been enjoying your series!
I’ll watch your podcast when you aren’t doing freeze dried foods. I’m sure many people do this.
I would stay away from the bad stuff and go for broccoli and cheese or some sort of casserole. Have fun!

I Love the freeze dried experiments. How about trying some aloe gel for burns? Take a look in your bathroom for some things like shampoo, tooth paste. Let's think outside the box!

Donut holes would be better if think to freeze dry.
Although I love seeing how it works, no way in my lifetime can I afford one, I just purchased my Cosori Dehydrator and I waited over 5 years to get that.

If you freeze dry muffins, could you rehydrate them by steaming them?

I had a friend who had to date a man back in the day because he was a Krispy Kreme distributor!🤣🤣🤣
Ok my grandfather who was a professional baker his entire life. The same man who owned two bakeries and ran several trucks thst both my uncles drove delivering baked goods before they went to h.s. every morning. He worked for the Spudnut bakery vompany making their signature buttery breads cakes and donuts.
Needless to say he is probably spinning in his grave at the thought of such things being done to his donuts which the Krispy Kreme cant come close tonthe delicous ness of his donuts. Thats all I gotta say about that.

It will freeze dry, but I didn't find it good enough to do again.
Cut them into bite sized chunks before FDing. Easier to eat. You’ve just made Krispie Kreme biscotti.

How about freeze-drying Hershey's chocolate bars...
To much oil in chocolate for a chocolate bar to freeze dry. A thin coating of chocolate will but not a thick bar. It just doesn't work.

Well, pretty sure I’m the odd ball here. Don’t like donuts. (Nor pizza) nor chef boyardi anything…. I love greens… and squash…. Oh well. I’m planning my garden! Lol

They need to make some whole grain donuts with natural sugar..... I can't eat these because all the nutrition has been refined out of the sugar and the flour....... And the oil that they fry them in clogs your arteries...... So mine would have to be baked......

I feed my little ShihTzu freeze dried raw kibble as a treat. The ingredients are 99% raw meat with a few vitamins and minerals. But I'm curious how little pieces of raw beef or chicken would freeze dry. And if the meat comes from your own livestock, it should be safe enough for humans too. I'm enjoying your new content. It's more of what I subbed for in the first place. Wasn't enjoying all the doom/gloom/they're out to get us stuff.
