I just switched from the A20 to the A21 and I'm really liking all of it. No complaints here oh and by the way for people like me that like watching UA-cam videos or Netflix the speaker is way better now so loud and clear. Sweet phone guys it proves you don't have to spend a fortune to have a good phone.

I have zero issues with my new A21... I upgraded from j7 prime to the Galaxy A21... I am totally happy with this one(A21)...
After upgrading because the last one slipped out my jacket over weekend, I can agree the display is underwhelming, but for the increase in screen size I won't complain.

For example, my iPhone 6 I currently have is always hot because of all the background apps and features that it are always being ran when I am playing a game or just watching videos… *_However! With this Samsung A21, about no back round apps are being ran. There is always full power and allot less potential of overheating._*

It's only fine when you want to use just one app, but doing any basic work and switching between email client and a document is a nightmare.

Truthfully, for me, I don't care about how bright videos are as long as I can see them. The only thing I really care about is the compacity storage for both music and apps. And then I have to learn how to use the fingerprint sensor.

I have dropped my Iphone without case from heigher positions and nothing happened, I dropped this awfull samsung phone while I sat down and it fell out of my pocket and the whole screen is broken. I tried to contact a shop, which told me a new screen costs just as much as a new phone of the same kind. Awfull phone, Samsung really has alot of fanboys.

@@TechDaily I haven't even bothered taking photos yet because I suspect that's going to be a HUGE disappointment ... the very first thing I noticed and feel like taking it back to the store ( but I can't because it was a gift to me ... ) this phone , I've only had for about 40 hours , the screen looks FADED or washed out ! Ugghh ... I feel it's really HARD ON THE EYES , I'm squinting constantly as all printed material looks gray and not black .... very disappointing .

I'm not a pc nerd. I had a hard time changing my old phone number cost me another air time card to get it done.
When I got over that smooth sailing.
I have been using an LG Stylo 5 since October 2019. I just switched over to an A21 that my wife had. Did a factory reset on it and set it up my way. Been great for my usage so far. I don't game or anything, just your typical social media's. No complaints on it. My Stylo had begun to freeze up often, so tho this A21 I have isn't NEW new, its new to me and it's newer than my Stylo. Before the Stylo 5, I had a G4. Both were very good phones that I got a long lifespan out of. Both are still usable, really. The only issue with the G4 was lack of battery life. Only reason I upgraded to the Stylo 5.

j7 crown was an awesome phone the signal it got was amazing plus i dropped it off a couple roofs and it took it fine, bought this one today hopefully it lives up to my j7

Samsung stopped sending updates to mine and it bricked up.
But man was the camera awesome. Best phone camera ever. Got the S9 about a year ago and its been a shit show ever since. And now that I need a new phone once again there are so few choices under 300$ that I'm prepared to pay. Tired of paying flagship prices and phone only last 18 months max before performance starts dropping calls and losing signals and apps closing. Its not even like I use up the ram or storage either. IDK might have no choice and go Apple since Samsung and Motorola screwed the pooch.
That's not very old. I and my family and friends aim to keep phones till ever more bloated apps will no longer fit - and we keep apps to a minimum!

@@shay4101 Coming from an S6 it's great! Sometimes takes a moment to process when you tell it to do something, but not more than my old one did. If you're upgrading it's not a bad budget choice, so far at least.

You should of gotten the realme 6.They last way longer than samsung budget phones it has features that flagships phones have like Nfc,30wat fast charge,it has one of the fastest chips in the budget phone market,and the build quality is amazing with a way better screen and refresh rate.

I work for T-Mobile & have had various customers complaining on how crappy the screen looks(color wise), and how dim it looked; one was coming from an S7. This phone is great for customers coming from budget phones & want to go for a bigger screen & modern design. Hopefully Samsung makes makes up for this in the next version! just bought an A21. wish I had seen this sooner but considering that my old phone was a Samsung J1 that was 5 years old and only paid $25 for, I was happy until I watched this video, lol. big upgrade for me.
I had an s8 since it first came out. It was the last of the galaxy phones I would buy because the price of these newer phones is ridiculous. My S8 finally gave up on me after so many years and now I'm getting this A21 with my carrier Boostmobile. For under 200$ I got it with a case on their website. I'm excited to get a new phone but don't expect much from it because it is a budget phone.

I just bought it yesterday everything about it has been really realty good except the fact it won't stop downloading games every 10 minutes that I don't buy. I've done some stuff in the settings and it seems to have solved it so I'm going to help out as well. I think its pretty good.

I completely understand where you're coming from with the screen issue. I just upgraded from the A20 to A21 and the A20's screen is way more vibrant I'm actually quite disappointed because I have a photography page on Insta that I run and I used to use my A20 for editing pictures because I loved the OLED screen. With the A21 my colors are a little off and dull but maybe because I pay close attention to detail and I can clearly see the difference between the A20's screen and the A21...... other than that I'm really happy with the camera setup although I don't really use the macro camera is kind of "meh" and hard to use plus it's not that great it's only 2mp and it probably wasn't expensive for them to include but its there if I ever need it. For video's they are alright nothing too special, but they did take away "slo mo" for some weird reason🤦🏼♂️....... The front camera was a big improvement same with the back main camera and I'm happy with the size of the phone I'm a tall person with large hands, I need a large phone so I'm not mad about the size........ the only thing that really upsets me is the damn screen!!😫

@@shesonsdasons320 unfortunately no they built the phone with a cheaper screen because its a cheaper device and Samsung didn't want to keep the OLED screen because it's too expensive for their budget for these phones so they gave better camera's and a worst display they figured if the phone had 4 camera's on the back it would be a key selling feature along with the bigger screen and the display can be overlooked ....... this phone wasn't really an upgrade I appreciate the big screen and 4 cameras but I actually liked my previous Samsung A20 better it was smoother and easier to use!!💁🏼♂️

I am interested in this phone, but I am concerned about the size. I am coming from a HTC Bolt, a much smaller phone. I am afraid the larger phone will be too much for my arthritic hands. The reviews on the Samsung site kept putting it down for it's big size and weight, and it scares me off.
What interests me most is the cameras and long battery life. I want something that will allow me to do videos and FB Live classes. Is this a good choice for me?

Dropped my A20 and it died. No charging or power. Asurion sent me the a21 as a replacement as the a20 is no longer available. Missing the Amoled screen but it seems a little more responsive. The battery lasts a little longer too so thats a plus.
I think this is a great improvement from the galaxy j7 I used to have. I guess I'm finding be grateful for what I have.

Amen. Came from an almost 5 year old, Galaxy j3 luna pro, that phone lasted a long time! The battery was still great as well, it would just freeze because of the age. Upgraded to the A21and couldn't be happier, I am very grateful my old phone lasted for so long, and I'm grateful that I'm able to get a nice phone such as the A21.
My son has had a J7 Prime for 2 years, and it's trash! This should be a good buy.

I have both the a20 and a21. Nothing like traveling a few hundred miles to another state before realizing you left you phone (a20) at home. Besides the a21's downgraded display and slight reduction in overall proformance. It lacks support for the Sound Assistant app. Which I've used quite heavily on an almost daily since I've stumbled upon it when I had a J7 Perx. When I got home. Immediately went back to my a20. Though, thanks to its (a21) larger screen size. It still has some usefulness as a content streaming phone (Netflix, Stadia, Xbox Gamepass, etc...) and back-up just incase. That also just makes it too much phone for having on my person all the time. The a20 fits my daily needs damn near perfectly.

Suppose the model number for that lineup increasing representing the hardware configuration is upgrading? Why A20 have AMOLED screen while A21 have TFT LCD screen... Such a fallback.
Last year, the model numbers did line up with specs & features. Then things got messed up with some “S” updates like the A30S, and now with the “1” updates (like A21) it’s messed up again. Makes no sense
The A20 with its amazing AMOLED display took a lot of battery and so people would always charge their device ,but with the new display ,they have found a way to make use of their new 5000 mAh battery which can last you up to a week if used for a few hours a day ,whci is a big step up which is a step in the right direction,the updates are just ways in making a better phone for everyone

The Redmi 9s has Gorilla glass 5,The Snapdragon 720g,good camera,good build quality good screen.Both of these phones have 1080p resolution while the A20 only has 720p also the refresh rate on the realme is 90hz.These phone DESTROY the A series budget phone and they only cost 200$

I picked this one today, only bummers for me are the screen display, the 3gb ram and and the 32gb storage, coming from a note 3, the display is noticeable, other than that, I'm happy with it. Basically, this device is a note 3 with not so good screen display.

The A20 has such big pixelation on the screen.
I had the A30S I was dissapointed that the screen resolution was better on the A30 and anothing annoying issue, I cannot recall, I sold it and bought me the Redmi note 9s best choice ever.

Just picked this phone up i paid 100 2 years ago for my j or u something Samsung and went yesterday to pick up another for around 100 ...I was pleased to find out how much offered for my little dollars I was willing to spend...I installed a glass and invested in a great case 15* drop rating....if I can manage another 2 years ill call it great 👍 🙂 great review
I had a a20 I think what they did with the screen with that a21 was a good idea because every time I touch the screen on my a20 it would leave a very visible fingerprint and even if you try to wipe it or you would get those streak marks so if they had the downgrade that on the a 21 maybe that's why
That has nothing to do with display but glass, some protectors make it worse, also try a low fat diet it helps with oils. I started a weekly colic regime and it really helped with oil marks on screen.
Also why does the camera look so good in your video ?? Mines look zoomed in

my galaxy 8 broke right before new years and i got one of these to save money......honestly wish i had just spent more and got a better phone. maybe its the phone i was moving to this from, but its slow.....very slow. it feels like its using the celeron processor out of my first computer as a kid. after i restart the phone i get a pause before it sometimes gets service like it should, and sometimes just doesnt and requires another reset and roll of the dice to see what i get this time. oh...and its constantly taking screen shots because of the button placement on the side being all clustered together.
after having this phone a bit now i can say i still Iike it and mine hasnt been slow at all and has been perfect for me....but i will say the one main problem ive had is the one mentioned above....upon restarts sometimes the network doesnt work and i have to restart it again. oddly, it hasnt done that for the last month or so but one time i had to restart it 4 times back to back to get the lte working. worries me that it might just go out one day but also comforting to hear someone else with that problem so i know it isnt just me with a faulty lemon phone lol. for mine tho, the battery has been amazing and charges really fast even with fast charging off. i dont play games or anything so the display isnt a huge deal and the big size is nice for when i watch the occasional video or something, and the camera is pretty decent despite some of the reviews ive seen. i use the camera for taking pictures of items i sell on ebay, so a good pic is important and it has worked out well for that. i suggest using the pro camera and manually tweaking settings depending on what your photographing, and you can get some pretty damn good photos. the buttons havent caused any problems for me but i also have a case that makes the buttons harder to push so maybe thats why
@@nunyabizwacks6711 yea im not sure why it has problems getting service on start up for what ever reason. but soo far ive been able to get it back with another reset. im probably just exaggerating with how slow it is, but after coming from the galaxy s8 to this theres a pretty big difference in some aspects. if i start to type too fast on the a21 itll hang for a second and hurry and catch up, and some other small stuff that really isnt a deal breaker but it gives me something to complain about. overall though for the 100 bucks i paid for it, its absolutely worth the money. wouldnt have paid 200 like im seeing some places but for a bill its for sure worth it.
@@Shamrock627 right i paid 100 as well. i def wouldnt pay 250 for any phone that wasnt a flagship phone but im not one of those ppl that has to have the most updated phone eveey year either so to be honest id probably nevee pay that much for a phone period, but for 100 bucks, especially compared to the other choices that were on sale at like 80, this was an awesome deal for me. now maybe if i was one of those hardcore phone gamers id need more. also i havent had that typing problem yet on anything or any apps, but i DO know what your talking about because i encounteres that with my last phone and that is one of the most annoying, anger inducing things ever, especially for me as a person always typinf out ebay listings and stuff so i hope this one doesnt start that but im trying to keep this phone as clean and optimized as possible and have watched videos and googled settings tweaks and have made several settings tweaks to take the load off the processor and battery as much as possible without hindering the phones performance. i will say with having the most up to date android version on this phone, there are lots of things you can tweak and aspects you can control that couldnt really be done in the past without rooting phones or whatever
I prefer removing the AMOLED. All my phones from Samsung from S7 to Note 9 all had issues with burn in with their screens.
Yea the note 5 I'm using now has a terrible burn from the white bottom of the UA-cam screen.
