These are such good tips, I've never heard about the small amount of fumes that could settle on the inside walls of the oven. Thank you for all that you do, I love your work and your videos, and I can't thank you enough for these amazing tips!!
You are an excellent teacher thank you so much for clear straight forward information. I been putting off using Polymer Clay afraid to use my oven... Now I'm not. I will be starting my testing soon! Thank you!
Such a great video! I'm new to working with clay and this is so so helpful. You're so well-spoken, your explanations are clear and easy to understand and you have a lovely voice. Imma go check your other videos rn girl! 💗
Thanks for a well presented video. Just showed it to someone who is interested in doing this. Has answered many q's. Many thanks. edit because thanks as I was right. hahaha
Thank you for this advice … I’ve been wanting to ask this question For a while now . I’m probably going to purchase an electric stove and place it in my covered Porch , this will keep busy and happy.
once again, thank you for the instructions! just tried it today with 3 different type of polymer clays. still need to learn more. Im going to make a bowl. Is it the same temperature like if i make a small things? I tried 120c for tray and small things atm.
Is there a video showing how to clean a toaster properly? Because I don‘t like mine, its unstable and it‘s quite high even at the lower temperature. So I want to sell it
Hello, I baked my clay on 100°C (while my oven thermo said 150°C), and i put ceramic tile in the tray + under the clay with parchment paper and "tent" it.. I bake 30 minutes, and the clay becoming has a little darker color, from white to smokey grey.. i guess it's burned them.. what should i do, because my oven only has 100°C min.temp. help me, should i bought another electric oven which has under 100°C temp in it? Thank you so much if you can reply this, or anyone T_T
Hi, sorry for the late reply!🌷 I missed your comment. I hope you already solved this problem, but if you didn't, I would be happy to share my thoughts. It is hard to say because I can't see the whole process. There could be many reasons. It depends on how low or high you put your item in the oven. I noticed my items burns if I put them on the bottom pan/tray in my convection oven. How close to the heating elements? I think the reason could be in the paper tent. I don't like using foil/paper tents because sometimes it gives unpredictable results. If you figure out the problem/reason, please let me know! I would appreciate it! Yes, I surely recommend buying an oven which has under 100°C!👌🏻
Unfortunately, I don't have experience with microwave ovens.. If you use your foil to keep your item from burning/color change, yes, it is ok! I do it as well sometimes in my toster oven. Soon I will be making a video how to prevent clay from burning (I will show and few other ways how to do it). 🙂
I’ll give a shot and see how it goes. Thank you. Also what brand clay do you use? Most tutorials online suggest sculpey soufflé and it’s not available here in India. The ones that are available are super expensive :/
Hello, my name is Dina thank you very much for this extraordinary video. I want to buy a small oven to use especially with my polymer clay pieces. Before buying I would like to know: how many Watts should the oven have? is it better to buy one with heat up and down/ is one with air better? Thanks for sharing
Hello, Dina!👋🏻 Thank you for your compliment!❤ It is difficult to answer about watts.. My main oven is small and only has lower heat, it is low on watts and it works great!👍🏻 9 hours per day each day so even a small inexpensive oven will work fine. But It is better to have a convection oven (with air circulation) for more even temperature if you are planning on spending a little more money. But it worth it.😘👌🏻 P.s. my second oven is convention and it works great! But I use it with open window because baked polymer clay smell is very strong (I think it is because a running fan inside force the air and smell out of the oven.) It might be just because of the older model l have. 🙂
Hi, sorry for the late reply! My cheap oven has a heating element on the bottom - 99% of my items I bake in it, and it works just fine for small pieces. I recommend using 👉🏻 a convection oven 👈🏻 based on the fact that the fan distributes the temperature evenly. 🙂🌷
Unfortunately, I can't say was wrong exactly because I didn't see the process. But first, I would check the baking temperature. If it is low, the clay can crumble. The oven thermometer is a must-have! I have a video about the right temperature, please take a look, I hope this will help 😉🌷: ua-cam.com/video/WRlRvSPNkDk/v-deo.html

Can we bake polymer clay jewellery in microwave??? Plz tell
I answered this question at the end of this video, please take a look. 🌷
No
Thank you 🙂❤️.. I bake in my home microwave oven that has convection feature. I cover my clay pieces covered with an aluminum foil tent. Is that okay?

Hey Ipsita, I have a microwave oven too. Haven’t tried baking in that before. Does it work well for you?
My microwave has convection feature and it works well. I just have to clean it up after I bake polymer clay.
I’ll give a shot and see how it goes. Thank you.
