I don’t even know what to say, I am truly honored to have such a kind viewer ❤️ The transition from the sims 3 to sims 4 wasn’t easy for me either, I think that I bought the game when it came out, played for a bit and then lost interest completely for like three years or so. There was so little content to play with!! But all the wonderful CC creators made me fall in love with the franchise again, I’m amazed at how some of the custom objects expand the possibilities of creating in the sims!

That's funny. I found the same house on pinterest and there is a video on here showing it off and I recreated it in a very similar way. Didn't like the real Floorplan so I had to get creative with that. Love your version more than mine though! It was actually a cover photo of some Harry Potter fanfiction that somehow found its way under the dark academia tag :D it was really bad quality and I had no idea how to find some other pictures, but I really liked it so I made the rest of it up. But! Thanks to the comments under this video, now I know that it's called Mapperton House! I would love to know how your take on the build looks!

You can download it from the gallery through Google, you just need an extension for it! And after you download the build's file you move it to your tray folder and you are set! I've done it multiple times and it works really well!

Oh I’m sorry :( I did play with a few sims in it for a little bit, so I know it worked initially. Maybe it’s because there’s so many objects in it. I don’t really know how to solve that issue and I’m sorry, but I’m glad you like it. That’s the thing with my builds - I try to make them as detailed as possible but I probably make them unplayable in the process lol
@@saeryal I don't have all the cc but I do have plenty to use to replace it so I placed it unfurnished and I hadn't added much to it before moving my sims in but it just stayed on the loading screen but I have followed you so I can see all your builds I'm a big fan of mansions and yours just fit the look I'm after ❤

Were you by any chance inspired by the Mapperton House? That was my inspiration and its almost the same layout haha. Very beautiful! I never finished mine, I got too overwhelmed with all of the CC and took it all out of my game for a break. Maybe I'll add it back in eventually.

Around the 11:00 mark and 11:26 for instance you're putting up those grass things against the house. The icon says they're from the discover university expansion pack which I own but I've looked everywhere and cannot find those objects to put up against my homes. Am I missing something?
Hi! These objects are either from debug or live edit, can’t remember :D. You have to open the cheat console with crtl+shit+c and type testingcheats true and then bb.showliveeditobjects (for live edit) or bb.showhiddenobjects (for debug). Then search for debug in the object search bar and they should be there somewhere with other university objects. You can also download TwistedMexi’s Better Build Buy mod with organized debug, it comes with debug and live edit filters and makes the objects way easier to find.

I’m really tempted to download some of their items for this and other builds but idk if its worth it or not? (I have a laptop specifically for this game only i dont really do much personal stuff on here)
Hi! I didn’t really follow the full story but it was enough for me to stop recommending these creators, just to be safe. There allegedly were issues with some creators doxxing their patrons as an attempt to put an end to people releasing their CC for free on reddit. The Sims Community had a whole article on it simscommunity.info/2022/04/18/the-disturbing-story-of-doxxing-within-the-custom-content-community/ I stopped using their content after that info came out. I’m not deciding on whether they did that or not, I’m just not comfortable recommending them anymore, even though obviously anyone downloading anything from the internet is doing so at their own risk. Also, I’m already Felixandre’s patron and using even more paid CC would mean that my builds would be less available for viewers who would want to download them. This was my first video ever and I wasn’t really thinking about the amount of CC that I featured in it :D Anyway, this was a few weeks ago and a lot of CC creators were under the radar for a while because of it. At this point I don’t think that anyone would want anything like this happening again, so I guess that it’s safer now, but don’t take my word for it :D If you’re interested in downloading their stuff I would suggest that you read up on the story a little bit and just make an informed decision yourself. It is actually a home! It’s called the mapperton manor and there’s currently a couple living there:) but they allow visits for wedding receptions

I think the inspiration for this build was Mapperton House in Dorset. It's a beautiful old manor house in real life as well.

I stopped using their content after that info came out. I’m not deciding on whether they did that or not, I’m just not comfortable recommending them anymore, even though obviously anyone downloading anything from the internet is doing so at their own risk. Also, I’m already Felixandre’s patron and using even more paid CC would mean that my builds would be less available for viewers who would want to download them. This was my first video ever and I wasn’t really thinking about the amount of CC that I featured in it :D
Anyway, this was a few weeks ago and a lot of CC creators were under the radar for a while because of it. At this point I don’t think that anyone would want anything like this happening again, so I guess that it’s safer now, but don’t take my word for it :D If you’re interested in downloading their stuff I would suggest that you read up on the story a little bit and just make an informed decision yourself.
