You should get plenty of time out of this mouse. For the first year you get premium warranty which they give you a prepaid label to send it in and the repairs are free. After the first year there are fees tied to the repair services. On the official site it says you must keep the original receipt or invoice and that proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty services and that warranty services are non transferrable. I'm in the same boat as you as I had someone go to finalcon for me. So hopefully they still have the receipt and if not hopefully Finalmouse would still honor the warranty for such an expensive and limited mouse.
I genuinely am new to Finalmouse, so I sincerely hope that they are able to honor that warranty. I don't think my friend got a receipt for it, so I guess we'll find out if they'll honor my purchase in some way if a service is needed. Thank you for the comment, and I'm glad you were able to get someone to get your mouse as well!

"If you purchase a mouse through a reseller, brand new, we can still cover your repair but you will be responsible for return shipping. If you purchase the mouse used, we will likely charge you for the repair. Just message the support and they will take care of you with complete instructions."
So you don't have to worry about the receipt this time :)

Is the function the same as before?
As I have no previous experience with other Finalmouse mice (just because they're so hard to get), I can't say for sure on a definitive answer. They still have the same layout, sizes, and button configurations however
