Sounds like a relative of mine. He “hurt himself” when he was young and first came to America. They came very late to America so his kids were already in late high school. He ended up not working and relied on his kids up until now. Now he’s on disability and has been relying on all of them to house him, buy him things, and do things for him. That isn’t so much of a problem but he complains why they don’t give him as much as his relatives are getting (buying him a car and boat), and he says they don’t love him if they don’t give him money or buy him a house. After all this he still believes he’s the “head of the house” and comes up with the rules... even though it’s his oldest sons house. He could easily find a low maintenance job... he “hurt himself” but goes hunting and fishing and hiking all the time. We think he’s just lazy but he still demands the nicest things to show off to his relatives.
