I've used the earphones to take self portraits. I used the main lense because, as you say, the quality is better and then I use a mirror behind the phone so I can see the phone screen and "see what the camera sees" to make sure I'm in the right position etc.
I'm a beginner in the world of photography and I wanted to thank you for all of your tips and tricks! You are inspiring and helpful and you make it much easier to get out there and get started! Thanks again!
I'm getting back into photography, and always make the mistake of overcomplicating things... You always help me going back to basics and keeping it simple, yet fun. Thank you!!!
Here’s an idea! 💡 the next self portrait you take could be you and a bonnet with bees coming out to portray your theme song! I LOVE the song you play in the beginning and end of your videos!
Oooh I should to tally do that! haha yes the bee in my bonnet song has sort of become my theme song and now everytime I upload a video without it I get comments from people missing it :) Bee in My bonnet is here to stay :D
She reminds me so much of Sorella Amore. Her energy and creativity but she just wears bright colors :). It is kinda crazy because the outer appearance is the complete opposite but their enthusiasm and humour is on the same level.
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Stephen Kelvin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Awesome video :). I am one of those mobile phone photography beginners and experimenting with what kind of style I like. This tips helped a lot. Enjoy your vacation :)
Ah what a smart thing to do! I also thought about you could use tape and attach it it a wall or chair but a scarf seems much easier & no risk of leaving sticky marks 😂👌🏼
Hi mickie! thank you so much !We finally arrived at our final destination yesterday here in Burma and the beach is so beautiful. I already have a bunch of photos I want to cretae here, but need to work on my tan just a bit more before I do haha! :))
Really great tips, thank you! I take photos with my phone all the time because I don't have the big camera with me all the time. So please more of that 😄 lots of love from Germany
That hare was saying "Come Kika, follow me to wonderland" haha. I also invent words, it's so much fun! Great video, like always, looking at my phone with new eyes, since I'm a camera girl ;)
Yes it was like that hare in Alice in Wonderland!! It is starnge, because a few years ago I kept seeing rabbits and hares all over, like in nature but also when I was walking in the city in a shop window suddenly or in a commercial. I feel like I have this thing with hares that every once in a while they appear in my life! Maybe I'm just crazy but it's sort of fascinating! :)
Have a great time in Burma! I enjoyed your tips in this video. I too enjoy capturing memories through photos. I learned so much about lighting and editing from you. 😄
Hey Kika, It’s amazing how you manage to make such amazing videos and click such beautiful pictures all by yourself 😍 you truly are and inspiration to a lot of people .. wish you all the luck. Also, you are super creative ❤️
so i love your videos and i love you so much!! But i want to know that which flowers do you use for taking photos? or where the perfect country do you live now? I really loooooove your photos!!!
Thank you so much! It feel ssurreal to be responding to these comments from a beach watching the sun set behind the ocean and watching this video that i filmed just days ago in a freezing Finland :) Life is full of contrasts!
Basic but very IMPORTANT and EFFECTIVE. Thanks again Kika! Enjoy your vacation in Burma and be cautious specially with the virus going around. See you soon!
Hi! I’m so glad to hear that, yes the tips are very simple but I know I’ve certainly missed some of these especially in my early days of starting to take more pics :) and yes, we just arrived in Myanmar and are being very careful and washing hands and not taking any risks 😌
I just love your videos. I'm not a photographer but I am using your tips as inspirations to create materials and online classes for my students. Thanks a lot!
Was wondering how you get the phone images and video into your videos. That is a really great teaching tool and would love to know how to do that. Thanks for your fun and creative content.
Hi Manda! i use Premier Pro to edit my videos, and in there I just import my photos and then drag them onto the timeline. Usually the size might not be the same as the frame so then I choose "Scale to frame size" and the photos appear in full frame :) Hope this was helpful! Can I ask what you teach? :)
I have been worried that I would not be able to keep up with photography without getting a high end camera. Purchasing such camera is not in my means. I always use my phone and have been able to catch a lot of great shots. I really enjoyed this video so much. I love the tips. I would have never thought of putting it in my teeth or hanging it on the ceiling. I was so glad to see your own photos being taken that way. I look forward to more video ideas with the use of your phone. Lastly, I am a little confused by under exposure on your phone for editing purposes. If anyone can explain that. Thank you. I will look for you on Instagram and you can follow me as well if you would like.
Those editing apps are great. I also recommend Snapseed it is free and very powerful. It can take someone not smiling in a photo like a family group shot and make them smile realistically with a swipe of a finger and many other advanced features.
Hi! I've got two videos with editing tips, the first one is here and is sort of an overall "How I edit my photos" :) ua-cam.com/video/ePgfWVY4Vl0/v-deo.html And the second one is tips to edit your photos Vintage style ua-cam.com/video/Fxbg9Y4fDB4/v-deo.html Hope this was helpful :)
Kika there is this app on android that allows you to take pictures until you stop it. It has an interval of 2, 4 and 5 seconds and you only press the button so the phone starts taking pictures and then press the button again to stop. It's called interval cam. My solo travel pics are one hundred times better :)
Haha I noticed as I was filming I was speeding up my speaking tempo and as i sometimes get feedback I talk too fast I thought I'd keep that bit in haha :))
Hi! Ah sorry yes that was a bit unclear. I meant that the camera that is on the "flip" side of the phone(the default camera) is better quality than the one on the "screen" side of the phone:)
Hi! I use an app to connect my camera to my iphone, the app will depend on which brand of camera you use. i use Sony so the app is called Imagine Edge mobiel and isfree to download in the app store. You just need to have a camera with built in wifi :) Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! Soaking up the sunlight and I feel the energy coming back already, will try to do some photos soon. Until now I've just taken it very easy and spent time with my family here and not been so much online which is nice every once in a while :))
Pronay Roy Check your camera settings for available options. For instance Samsung phones have an option in shooting methods menu which allows your to use your palm as a remote. You literally show you palm to the phone and it takes a picture a couple of seconds later. You’ll see a timer on the screen.
Good ideas and tips but please don’t ever put your phone in your mouth without thoroughly cleaning it. Phones are notoriously dirty and can harbour more bacteria than a toilet seat 🤢
You are so nice and could make such great content, but for some reason keep sticking to these tip videos, that diminish the value you could bring to us. I guess they make great traction but are so repetitive and boring to watch. I am sorry for criticism, i remain a huge fan (voice, language, flow, persona), but am thinking of unsubscribing and just wanted to let you know because other may feel that way as well. Hope it didnt come around as harsh, i know its a lot of work.
I could not agree more, there is nothing to dislike, i am really happy for her, but loads of youtubers admit they only do these as these get more traction, whether i would rather see more content with soul, if you get me. I hope Kika is happy with what she does.
kika how energetic you are. calm down 😂. i am getting tired while watching you 😂😂. kidding. nice video again. hope you keep doing these things
Haha as I was filming this i was speaking faster and faster as I noticed it was getting darker all the time 😂😅
I've used the earphones to take self portraits. I used the main lense because, as you say, the quality is better and then I use a mirror behind the phone so I can see the phone screen and "see what the camera sees" to make sure I'm in the right position etc.
Ah using a mirror as sort of a monitor is so clever! What a good trick!!

@Stephen Kelvin thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm.

@Stephen Kelvin it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
I so agree with the idea that editing brings a photo to life! Also, the earphone trick is so coool!
U should've followed the rabbit. It wanted to lead u to the wonderland, that u create with our photos 🤩
Yes you did it again great video Kika! Great tips thank you 🙏 😉
amazing content as always and i really like hearing your accent especially when you pronounce "camera".
Ahaha that is nice to hear :)) I sometimes get surprised when I hear how I pronounce certain words that I didn’t even notice 🤔☺️
I love you and your creativity! Thanks for the video
Awesome video :). I am one of those mobile phone photography beginners and experimenting with what kind of style I like. This tips helped a lot. Enjoy your vacation :)

I freaking love your videos and you’ve helped me be way more creative with my photos!! You’re the best :)
Omg I’m dying 😹😹 you’re upside down on your couch!!😂😂
I sometimes tie my selfiestick to a chair with a scarf instead of using a tripod (which I don't have).. 😃
Ah what a smart thing to do! I also thought about you could use tape and attach it it a wall or chair but a scarf seems much easier & no risk of leaving sticky marks 😂👌🏼
@@Kutovakika It's easy to bring, and a long thin linen one is great for that. You can use it around your neck too.. 😂
😮
Great advice!! Have a wonderful trip and I can’t wait to see the photos of your adventures!

Hope you enjoy your holiday and the storms don't get in the way.
How about teaching a class on Skillshare, Kika? I think you would have so many students!
I like your name 💙 useful tips thank you
Kika, which app do you use to take photos in manual camera mode? In short, what is the name of the app at 5:20.
Kika there is this app on android that allows you to take pictures until you stop it. It has an interval of 2, 4 and 5 seconds and you only press the button so the phone starts taking pictures and then press the button again to stop. It's called interval cam. Ah such a good tip for Android users!! Thank you for mentioning it! And ah yes, on travels taking your own photos that is so handy! :)
@Stephanie Ling Hi! It's called "Simple Interval Camera Free". Find it on Google Play Store
How do you pick which camera you want to use? Mine automatically gives me the top one
Noooo you were in Helsinki?! I would've loved to meet you!
Yes I was in Helsinki just for a few days as we took our flight from there to Asia :)) Ah Do you live in Helsinki? It's my home town :)

how can I make the bad back ground beautiful and classy😞?
I didn't get what you said in 2:24. Using a camera instead of another one. What do you mean?
