Ben what you do better than any other blogger, and what resonates with me who plays against the same opponents most of the time, is playing against your specific opponent. Ranges/sizes/tendencies, etc. it has helped me a lot in my own game
Good Q & A at the end Ben. I think a large part of being a good player is getting to know player tendencies at your table as quick as possible when playing with strangers. If you pay close attention, it shouldn't take longer than an orbit or two to "get to know" your opponents.
I am going to miss posey to. His handling of a pitching staff is probably the best in baseball. Buster you will be missed! Rookie if the year, MVP 3 time WS champ. Future hall of famer. Bonds was my favorite Giants player when I was a kid and Posey is my current favorite Giant now as an adult. Joey Bart era begins now
Love your vlogs. I love Reno also. My sis has a house on the California side. I visit the same poker room when bbn I'm there. I have a house in Jacksonville Florida. Best Bet is my home poker room. This ccx was a very up n down, good win!
As a non-Giant fan, the memories of this last season will last. Instead of talking about Posey lets bring up how everyone celebrated like they won the WS after one playoff win. So much for that best record in baseball....
Hahaha!!!! Hehehehehe!!!! No more bitching. Thanks for all the hands and showing your real emotional frustration during the game. Good luck and as always " May your card be live and your pots be monsters" Mike Stetson
if someone puts you on exactly KK for a boat and he flats a 1/5th pot bet with nut flush, it just goes to show you how we can bluff with a bunch of holdings given that a lot of recs tend to believe the scary boards
Long time listener, first time caller. When you said you didn't like your table, and the good table never let you in, what exactly did you see? Loose players, more action, outsiders?
Do you think that searching only for the good games where you take advantage of fishy players hinders you when you run into tougher competition? I get that it may be more profitable but are you able to improve your game much doing so, versus just sticking it out versus tougher players to get better
My personal advice is to find and play in the softest and best games you can as often as possible. And, very occasionally, if you wish to challenge yourself and learn from other good or tough players, you can stay in a tough game about 5% of the time. But playing in bad or tough games most of the time will destroy your win rate over the long term (even though you can still be a winning player in such games, you will make something like 20% or 25% of what you can make in better games).
An obnoxious drunk at my table goes bonkers after I had a set - I folded on the turn when he shoved despite basically no draws except a gutter - which he hit. Run good often means lucky folds as much as it is lucky hole cards!
That is why you have to stay as a 2/5 local player. You are able to win only because you know the tendency of other players with a long history of playing with them.
I have a question about poker bros: is it legal? I mean they are running a gambling operation without a gambling license. Not likely paying taxes on the rake they take. And it is occurring across state lines…. Thats a lot of federal agencies if they get pissed off.
Do most poker players lose money? I would think only a small percentage of players commit to studying the more advanced aspects like GTO and pursue the goal to become a profitable player, seems like a lot of people are just there to gamble and don't try to quit while they're ahead.
in the AA hand did he have KJ? that seemed like a terrible spot to keep barreling on the turn. If that was what he had he should of raised you big on turn.
I don’t understand your logic with the set of aces hand, you folded knowing that you can be ahead sometimes and if not can have 10 outs by the river, but yet you would be willing to go with a flush draw having no made hand and 9 outs by the river ????
My favorite poker vlog on UA-cam
Ben what you do better than any other blogger, and what resonates with me who plays against the same opponents most of the time, is playing against your specific opponent. Ranges/sizes/tendencies, etc. it has helped me a lot in my own game
That is the key thing to focus on!

Great content again Ben , from the UK
Hockey is great and all….. Damn right we r here for poker.
Eichel was a huge pick up
Ur Channel has featured some tremendous play of late... Continue dominating the cash circuit...
I like the way you played the AK hand. If you're never value owning yourself, you're not betting thin enough.
Well played, IMO.
Correct. Most people don’t realize that.

In Bart we trust
That was awesome!!!!!! Thanks...
Another DEACH-athon! Thanks Mr. Kolo8!
Love Q&A
Turning rags to riches early on in the vlog, knowledge is power in poker. Great stuff Ben
Thanks pat!
I was just about to ask if you could upgrade to better quality video, so you can also compete with other bloggers.
Good luck!

Thanks for the content Ben. Always enjoy your vlogs and commentary
Hi Ben. Love your vlogs. Keep up the good work. Question for you. Do you play pocket deuces utg and if so, how would you play them?
Throw back to Jen Tilly on Poker After Dark. “I thought you had pocket kings”. Lol what a horrible just call.
As a non-Giant fan, the memories of this last season will last. Instead of talking about Posey lets bring up how everyone celebrated like they won the WS after one playoff win. So much for that best record in baseball....
Can someone tell Negranu that we aren't here for the hockey talk?
Love your VLOGs Ben, wondering, when you ging to make it to Texas to the lodge
Rick told me “sometime in 2022”
Deach calling some other guy weird..... 🙄😂😂😂
I'm sure this is simple and I'm not sure why it's going over my head but can you explain what you mean by camera up vs. camera down with your phone?
Great John Hamm from The Town.
Book was better.
All in all, you did well pilgrim. Enjoyed the back to back.
Hahaha!!!! Hehehehehe!!!! No more bitching. Thanks for all the hands and showing your real emotional frustration during the game. Good luck and as always " May your card be live and your pots be monsters" Mike Stetson
Thanks for sharing! Bigger with the Jacks on the deuce river imo. $200? Top pair is unchanged...
Ben
You're funny
Much thanks
Fun vid! And I was Like #1,000 :)

Lets goooo SHARKS-
Long time listener, first time caller. When you said you didn't like your table, and the good table never let you in, what exactly did you see? Loose players, more action, outsiders?
Most likely it was a loose, action game with bigger stacks
I was actually going to ask if you did MUGs. Yeahhhh
When run it up Reno comes back that is the plan
What does it mean to ask for a setup?
A new deck of cards.
slowing the game down is literally all it accomplishes

Question of the wk. Any trout in that creek you keep showing ?
Yes. But it’s the Truckee river not a creek.
So I am a winning player but your insight has been key in my 61% cash rate jumping to 68% in the last year.
@@joyride1598 You are right as far hourly being the more important. Previous year I was $54 on 600 hours. This year I’m at $71 on only 139 hours.

Reno still gets out of towners. My brother plays there every time he is in town.
Are masks required at the Reno Peppermill Poker Room ?
Most of not all poker rooms require proof of vaccine
@@dreddjudge8969 wait, they force you to show a cvax card before you can sit at a poker table? and wear a mask, as well?
I thought Buster had a couple more years but that catcher position shortens careers quickly.
The math is simple you ether have 13 outs or your against 13 out on the turn.
Do you ever lose man?
BRO WHY DO NITS ALWAYS REQUEST SET UPS
I have a question about poker bros: is it legal? I mean they are running a gambling operation without a gambling license. Not likely paying taxes on the rake they take. And it is occurring across state lines…. Thats a lot of federal agencies if they get pissed off.
People running it will get in trouble if they are breaking the law but regular players will be fine. Kind of like what happened on Black Friday.
Do most poker players lose money? I would think only a small percentage of players commit to studying the more advanced aspects like GTO and pursue the goal to become a profitable player, seems like a lot of people are just there to gamble and don't try to quit while they're ahead.
Of course most players lose money. A vast majority lose money

KQ
0/5? How weird lol
A one blind game… i run into lots of those when playing overseas
I will not bitch this week😁
Correct. Limit the hockey talk because, 95% of the United States doesn’t give puck about hockey. Good for you though.
Yadi>Posey
Maybe he likes being a baseball player and doesn't want to be a DH
I don’t understand your logic with the set of aces hand, you folded knowing that you can be ahead sometimes and if not can have 10 outs by the river, but yet you would be willing to go with a flush draw having no made hand and 9 outs by the river ????
great content but your video quality is a potato!
