If you care about the value of your cars, all of the models in this video are relatively sensible choices at the moment. We saw that there are only a handful of cars for which price continued to increase, but that there is quite a large group that falls between the 0 and -5%. This group consists out of old cars but also still relatively new cars. All of this means that you could have driven some of those cars, basically for free.

how about alfa romeo 4c?
I bought a nearly new 911s in 2009 for 45% off MSRP from a dealer. The point is when the economy really goes into the dump, exotic cars drop by about half as people get scared and ditch their toys.
I looked at 997 Turbos then and instead bought a new R35 GTR - it lost £3k a year over 6 years. I feel a 992 Turbo S might be on the cards when things get rougher. I have wanted one for 20 years, but I have to buy it well to make it sweet.
Also had a delivery miles R8 V10 in 2021. Ran it for 18 months and it lost £3k. I do miss it, but got out at the top. I love buying in recessions. This video shows that prices are still much higher than 2020. Like houses, I'm not nibbling at these prices.
What if you put that money in stock market😅
Amazing job as usual, thanks for this update
Would love to hear about how the gen 2 vanquish and vanquish S have performed during this correction!
So valuable as usual.
Great editing too
Congratulations on mentioning the Lotus Evora! Connoisseur's choice.
Interested to hear where you believe the McLaren LT market is going, and if the 600LT and 675LT will gradually depreciate, hold value, or eventually increase in value. Thoughts?
Have a look at this video: ua-cam.com/video/pa_Oe5us1Yg/v-deo.htmlsi=kVv1RjQI3e94SnCM
Please make a video on non-GT 911s, especially 992. Thanks
Have a look at this video for the Carreras: ua-cam.com/video/7GOFAvX8BTE/v-deo.htmlsi=aTXer_xhJfxhGqs1
What do you think of limited cars like the 991 R? Tks
I second this question! Hope that you’ll entertain us with an opinion or some data! Thank you!
Always great vids! 997 GT's are the place to be, and they are amazing cars too
Didn’t see the 991.2 GT3 Tourings in this list. Have those held stable?
Same trend as the non-touring. Have a look as the GT3 market update: ua-cam.com/video/AukwZ6XGdSI/v-deo.htmlsi=iCbUZ8ubTaI_iLvz
What about Nissan GTRs - they’ve gone crazy in the last 18 months?
How about gt4rs?
Thank you for the video.
Q. Where was the 997.2 Turbo S on the YoY chart? The % decrease?
I’m just speculating here but I would guess that car is just stable and hasn’t gone up or down
Approximately -1%. Check out the full Turbo market update at 1:30 for the price trend: ua-cam.com/video/15nITzYJlVk/v-deo.htmlsi=GeOrQQ3IgYiODkxw
@@fourwheeltrader Much appreciated. I’m pretty sure I would have watched it, but I’ll take another look. Thx.
If I was going to get something that i could drive for several years and then sell it for no loss id get a 90k-110k mile 996 911 turbo for at absolute max $40k. With a little patience I think I could find one for $30k-35k in good condition though. In 5 years the value will be at least the same as what it costs to buy right now... and that's after putting another 50k-60k miles on it. If you get something with 50k miles on it the price right now will be tens of thousands of dollars more and the value dropping due to additional miles could outpace future market values. A 100k mile 911 turbo will sell for only slightly less than one with 150k miles. A 100k mile 911 turbo sells for drastically less than one with 50k miles
Am I wrong seeing a completely different trend for the 360 in the EUROPEAN market?
All these trends are very temporary for recent crazy years. You cannot predict that the same remain in the future. So your “zero loss” car is not such in the future. Own based on your desires and what makes you happy. Especially when considering 100k range.
With those rollercoaster graphs you can prove any up or down trend by varying the start and end position.
Uncertainty estimates are included and reiterated several times
Just wait until next year when the economy tanks and all these overpriced collectibles and weekend cars will be pennies on the dollar. I’ve seen this play out the past 50 years a lot of people in this economy have huge car payments, there credit cards are maxed out, wait until unemployment skyrockets and people are liquidating everything. Just be patient enthusiast and save your money, you will get your dream car soon
its going to continue to go down, people cant pay debt, money is expensive to barrow. More cheap super cars sooooon
Thanks Nostradamus
@@er98ah you're very very very very very very welcome
You are 100% correct, I remember 2008 the economy was a disaster and all the fun weekend cars were at rock bottom prices. The 70s 80s 90s and every 10 years or so the economy tanks and all these people over levered were dumping toys at pennies on the dollar
@@thomasmazzola4760a super cycle for financial products is about to end. I could be off but imo we will see a huge drop in "assets"
Be cash ready. Money will be cheap to buy soon!
It's more of Porsche than all of the other cars video -- say like Mclaren, Lamborghini etc etc.
What about the 2nd Gen Acura NSX ? I thought you said this car is a good buy and less depreciation?
Didn't even mention any of these cars.
Other cars are not mentioned because they don't rank among the top in terms of price increases (which is the main topic of this video). The mileage sensitivity- and high depreciation video of a few weeks ago featured plenty of other brands.
@@fourwheeltrader I feel like it is a bit odd that Lamborghini's aren't included in this video at all. I mean the Performante should have made the list somewhere right? If you included a 458 Speciale (which is a special 458 model) I"m sure the Performante deserves mention by your price increase criteria
@@omarqureshi6358 I am missing one data point for the performante to be included in this video. That is, i cannot calculate the YoY change for it. It will be included in the next round. In general, I am gathering more data on Lamborghinis as they have been under represented.
It was included in the previous video at 10:42 ua-cam.com/video/x9DAbJeRM9Y/v-deo.html
Here is the full Huracan market update (will update this in the future): ua-cam.com/video/71AMmWXf5vQ/v-deo.htmlsi=QFxM0O7cBLidQiSE
Would love to see Gallardos too
What about gallardo and alfa 4c they been pretty stable now.
Why do you always miss the 812 superfast?! Every video!!!
It's a simple answer. The 812 is not doing well and wouldn't qualify for this video. I've been seeing them tanking the past 6 months. And they are down 15% to 20% from their peak over a year ago and there doesn't seem to be a bottom yet.
The 812 superfast does not belong to the group of cars for which prices increased or hardly decreased.
The lastest price trend for the GTS you can find in this video at 10:45 ua-cam.com/video/1v3xioZ7muk/v-deo.html
