Played at my mates funeral who died aged 17 1999. This song brings so many raw emotions and generally brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. More importantly it brings back memories of him the laughs the honda90 we went halfs on bitter sweet memories!!!

Anyone who says he cannot sing anymore simply isn't taking the time to listen properly. This is a proper voice. No auto tune, just pure talent, however rough around the edges he might be. Ain't no one who sings like he does. He's a one off.
Too right. Mentioned in the post of his song "once" at the same performance that you can tell who has the pure talent when you take away musical crutches to hind behind: electric instruments, heavy synth, auto-tuning, quick tempo. Give me a slow acoustic with just a piano or a guitar to find out if they have the talent and the heart. Liam has both.

OASIS were the sound of my youth. Noel is an incredible songwriter and I honestly think Oasis are one of the best bands to ever come out of Britain...

@@RgjDj1878 tbh there's so many. I don't think any other country even comes close where bands are concerned.... Oasis, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeplin, The Cure, Radiohead,,,, and the list goes on. But yea for me too Oasis are definitely my favourite British band.

If you like guitarists, then some people will argue with who’s the best. But Oasis they’re sound, Noel’s songwriting and riffs. And Liam’s vocals. Can't understand the comments from Noel when he says Liam can't sing anymore. This proves otherwise. Absolutely on point with this and Once. Phenomenal.
I supposed Liam keeps improving since his comeback. But to be honest he didn't sound good enough a few years before Oasis split
To be fair... when has Noel actually said that? Probably only back when Oasis split... and he was right. Nowadays I haven't heard Noel say anything.
People forget that Liam has thyroid problems. Some days his voice will sound good and other days he'll be unable to hold or reach certain notes. This is why his performances vary.
Can you please me when and where Noel said that?

lambyUK2007 Well, this isn’t live, it’s an uploaded recording of what was a live performance. That being said, you can use autotune live now. Plenty of people do. That famous Disturbed performance of sound of silence, for example, is autotuned.
@@YourLoyalDeserter except that he's not auto tuned here? You want to hear a live version of when he was actually autotuned listen to Greedy Soul or For What it's worth 'live' on his UA-cam channel. Auto tune is obvious to spot as there's an unnatural tone to the voice. On top of that listen to the same performance of Champagne Supernova from Radio 1, there's croaks in the voice etc to know it's not auto tuned.

There’s enough aspic in the pie
This proves that Noel writing the songs for Liam to sing them was always the best combination and way round, the lyrics and melodies combined with the emotion in Liam's voice, I'm glad he's starting to take care of it now which has stopped its' decline in my opinion, has the ability to make you jump about and make you feel like you can take on the world but can bring you to tears in equal measure. I know that lots of people miss Oasis, I do too but when I hear this I'm just eternally thankful that they ever happened at all.

This is awesome - it really accentuates the distinct and unique qualities of Liam Gallagher's unmistakable voice.
I think we should also appreciate the great addition of the cello, piano and shaker players. It makes for a truly wonderful performance. Just today I learnt this on my keyboard using piano and cello instruments. Sounds great. Can't wait to play it at my gig. 👍👌🎹🎵

Will never happen again, given the state of the music industry and how it operates now. Such a very special band, during an otherwise shit time in history. The 90's were a fuckin cest pool of disease, and ganster Rap. Oasis was the ray of sunshine on it all, with some great comedic timing to lighten the otherwise grundge mood, along with a few swear words for gd measure

Liam sang the original opening to Champagne Supernova in a softer tone and he doesn't do that anymore. I don't know why he doesn't sing softer anymore. So it's kinda off when he sings the verse is a strong voice.
