There's a reason why Brazilian players have such good touch. When they are young they start out in futsal teams to perfect that magic touch and skill. Ronaldinho is a great example of this, he used to play futsal before moving to normal football, which is why he is so good.
football is not just about control, balance and other stuff. A large part of being a successful football player is having the mental state to make big decisions when you are on the ball. for example: if you were on the ball and your team was on the attack you have to know whether to run with the ball yourself, or play the ball through to someone else, and if you do pass it, you have to know how much force you need to put into the pass and which player would be the best to pass to.
Coutinho says his talent is all because of futsal, england should take this on, i know my 7 year old cousin plays half a year futsal and half a year outdoor football in germany, and its really helped him at such a young age
In England we coach/teach players HOW TO WIN. It's all about winning on a Sunday. However, in countries like Brazil and Spain, they are taught HOW TO PLAY football, the importance of keeping possession, passing and moving. The goals will come from that. We need to adopt this type of coaching in England.
we may not be fantastic at futsal in this country at the moment, but I have seen some young players who play on a futsal scholarship at football league clubs all around the country and they're kicking grown men out of national league sides the futures bright for futsal in this country
i remember playing futsal with some locals in Spain. and i was very surprised by their selfishness. i passed them alot coz thats how i have been tout to play in Denmark, i remember passing them alot but they rarely played back, and to be fair, i was one of the best that played, but i did notice how much they emphase dribbling, some of them kids were insane at it. but very surprised by the fact that they never passed the ball. thought they would 'pass and move' all the time
England need to embrace Futsal much more as a sport. How do you think Brazil have been dominant in football for the last 45+ years? Kids growing up playing Futsal, that's how.
It's not professional in england though, only a few leagues such as spain portugal, brazil, italy, iran, russia, argentina and maybe japan are. A few players in other leagues get paid a little but alot of league prevent players from getting paid.
Countries should take futsal more seriously if they hope to produce better footballers for the outdoor national team. You should play futsal at a very young age to learn control, body movements, creativity, one step shots and a hunger for goals/possession. It's no surprise that some of the best players in the world started by playing futsal or other 5 a side formats.
Frank Lampard is an England and club legend and saying that t.silva and paulinho are the only good players on Brazil is ridiculous i well know that they have quality players such as David Luiz,Neymar, hulk,Fred,Alves etc
yeah but hes saying make sure to use your left foot. also i bet you any money other freestylers e.g. billy wingrove and jeremy lynch and able to use their weak foot.
