Whoever is confused in: 1) Row 7 because you don't have 11 st left to single crochet: In the video she did 3dc and a 1dc inc, then showed "(3dc, 1dc inc)*4" at the bottom of the screen, and cut the video before finishing so I thought that she did (3dc, 1dc)*5 in total but she only did it 4 times (the first one is included in the 4). 2) Row 9, while sewing the two halves you noticed that one of them became bigger: That's because you don't have to crochet row 9 of the second half. While sewing them together you ARE crocheting the 9th row of the second half at the same time (pay attention to which part you're crocheting and to the stitches while doing that so that they are perfectly even). I hope this will help someone :) (Because it took me some time to figure it out after making these mistakes)
@@Jane-ow7sr not the original commenter but i think i can help-- row 3 is 13sc, (sc, inc)*3 in the turning stitches, 13sc row 4 is 13sc, (sc, inc, sc)*3 in the turning stitches, 13sc row 5 is 13sc, (sc, sc, sc, inc)*3 in the turning stitches, 13sc row 6 is 13sc, (sc, sc, inc, sc, sc)*3 in the turning stitches, 13sc essentially, you always do 13 single crochet on each side, and repeat a different pattern three times on the turning chain-- for example, in row three, you will do a single crochet in the first turning stitch, increase (make two single crochets) in the second, then (repeating that) another single crochet in the third, another increase in the fourth, etc. hope that helps!
i followed this guide with 4 dk yarn (big twist classic 100% acrylic) and a 4mm hook (US G6). the paws measured about 4in wide and 5.5in from the top of the middle finger to the wrist (without the cuff). I also made the pink pad parts first and used the extra tail yarn to sew them onto the palm panel before closing off the back panel so that I wouldn't have to use hot glue. hope this helps anyone trying to make it with thicker yarn!
** also recommend increasing the spacing between the thumb and index finger (do more than just 2) to adjust for the overall increase in size!! my fingers feel a bit awkward with the distance
To anyone who can translate: What yarn weight and hook size were used to make these gloves? Thanks! UPDATE: I ran it through google translate and this is what the slide at the beginning of the video says... Its a pretty rough translation but I typed out exactly what Google says so you can interpret it as you wish. "Materials and Description Yarn: 5 Strands of milk Cotton Crochet: 3.5mm Color: (milk white root powder)(Beige light coffee) Accessories: Hot Melt Adhesive Crochet Cat Claw Half Finger Gloves" What I get from that is that they are using a 3.5mm hook and a 5 ply cotton yarn. And hot glue to attach the paw pads.
Because I'm seen multiple people asking what kind of yarn and how much yarn to buy for this project: The yarn used in the video is a Sports/Baby/5ply (2/fine) weight Milk cotton. At a very conservative estimate, based off the number of stitches and the size of my single crochet in a DK weight yarn, I don't have any Baby Weight, you need 120 yards (~110m)) of your main colour and about 20 yards (~20m) of your accent colour. Also for the creator (我还在学普通话) 感谢您的发表, 猫爪半指手套很可爱
hey yall! I got to the part of the pattern where you have to crochet the two panels together, and i got super confused because hers just seemed smaller and the number of chains were definitely off (not to mention her string was on the opposite side of mine). it took me a minute to realise that when paneling her two sides together in the video, the backside of her panel did not have a 9th row, which is why she started doing dc inc's when she got to the finger holes. the pattern that she said to follow for the 9th row 2nd panel does not work with the method she used to sew her two sides together. please keep this in mind when trying this pattern! if you are going to do the 9nth row anyway, make sure to just sc or slip stitch your way around the one side of the finger hole and sew them together like normal in between. i think another english commenter also figured this out and has the corrected pattern translated to english in the comments, but just in case it made you confused !!
@@meiyinsim1770 if you skip row 9, it gets a little more complicated, but either way works. if you decide to do row 9, then once you start joining the two panels just slip or sc your way around the finger holes and join with one or two stitches in between the fingers. lmk if you still need clarification! ik its confusing
For those who are feeling trouble with 9th row: You can try with 2dc, inc, 3sc or 3dc, inc, 2sc instead of 3dc, inc, 3sc Just make sure you have 13 sc at last line Hope it helps😉

i love all the languages present here in the comments. these are so cute! i have so many projects going right now, but i have to add these to my list. thanks so much for sharing your knowledge & pattern with us. peace. 🧡
wahhh i just got your video suggested and i am SO thankful that you included english crochet terms for the stitches and translation thank you so much these gloves are SO cute and i want to make them as a gift!
Great pattern. I made a pair for my partner, who has fairly large hands. I used a 5mm hook and worsted weight yarn to size them up. With those changes, these would easily fit a women's XL glove size (or a men's L) with a little extra wiggle room.
bless this comment. i made a prototype kinda and i could barely fit my hand in there lmao (for reference: im 5'1 lmao and my hands are just slightly bigger than average for my height) and ive been wondering how to make it fit me
@@atsumulovebot Same, I've been trying to make a prototype of this and it hurt to shove my hand inside of it. I was wondering if there was a way to size it up but I may try using the method above too
Здравствуйте, извините за беспокойство. Из какой пряжи вы будете вязать? Какую можете посоветовать приобрести? Хочется попробовать связать, но трудно разобраться с таким обилием ниток..
Sí, me uno a tu petición. Por favor, subtítulos en español. Thank you very much for sharing your work. Beautiful. Could you put subtitles in spanish to your videos? Please. 🙏🏽
Has anyone made this pattern? It's great, but I've found that the pattern doesn't really match up with the video once you're doing lines 9+ on the second half of the glove.
What I think is actually happening, is that you stop after line 8 on the second half of the glove. Don't do the line 9 stated here. Then you add the extra height to the toe beans by doing the [inc dc] shown while you're joining them together. Then they should match up nicely! It's too late for me now though, I have uneven toe beans ;n;
I think the 9th row you complete when you put them together. I haven't reached that far yet. Lines 4, 5 and 6 adds another 9 stiches on top and I ended up with too many stitches. Have you had any problem with that? It says that I should have 16 st on top by the row 7 but I end up with 18.
@@gabi6898 I don't remember exactly now, but at one point I did 1 extra increase by accident around there, it's easy to misunderstand at one point! I think I ended up doing some sneaky decreases to get back to the right count haha
For row 9 I just did (2dc inc) instead of 3 dc and it worked perfectly. I think you could also just drop one of the sc between the dc on row 9 and it would be the right number too.

@@monokum_4239 you can check if the length of that initial chain fits relative to the length of your palm, and lenghten as needed. and you can add rounds if the width is too small. that's my plan at least, still to be tried though.

What I get from that is that they are using a 3.5mm hook and a 5 ply cotton yarn. And hot glue to attach the paw pads.
"5 strands of milk" has been freaking ROLLING ok XD
Milk cotton is actually made with fibres made from milk! It's part cotton and part milk casein protein and it's incredibly soft!
Uhhhm I’m not sure if someone else can clarify this but does it say how much yarn you need for the project?
@@jayy4651 Oh wow I've learned something today. Thank you for sharing this info.
Thank you for doing this and sharing. I want to try making these in the future, and this info is so helpful. I hope your gloves turn out amazing!
Because I'm seen multiple people asking what kind of yarn and how much yarn to buy for this project:
The yarn used in the video is a Sports/Baby/5ply (2/fine) weight Milk cotton.
At a very conservative estimate, based off the number of stitches and the size of my single crochet in a DK weight yarn, I don't have any Baby Weight, you need 120 yards (~110m)) of your main colour and about 20 yards (~20m) of your accent colour.
Also for the creator (我还在学普通话)

Life saver thx thx
I have never crocheted in my entire life but this was suggested to me and it looks SO freaking cute I just had to watch
Same! Literally want to learn now to make this! I NEED to, it's soo cute!
FR I'M IN THE SAME POSITION
hey yall!
I got to the part of the pattern where you have to crochet the two panels together, and i got super confused because hers just seemed smaller and the number of chains were definitely off (not to mention her string was on the opposite side of mine). it took me a minute to realise that when paneling her two sides together in the video, the backside of her panel did not have a 9th row, which is why she started doing dc inc's when she got to the finger holes. the pattern that she said to follow for the 9th row 2nd panel does not work with the method she used to sew her two sides together. please keep this in mind when trying this pattern! if you are going to do the 9nth row anyway, make sure to just sc or slip stitch your way around the one side of the finger hole and sew them together like normal in between. i think another english commenter also figured this out and has the corrected pattern translated to english in the comments, but just in case it made you confused !!
yeah!! i'm also stuck there for a while until i figured it out
Sorry, so do we do row 9 for the 2nd pc or leave out row 9?
@@meiyinsim1770 if you skip row 9, it gets a little more complicated, but either way works. if you decide to do row 9, then once you start joining the two panels just slip or sc your way around the finger holes and join with one or two stitches in between the fingers. lmk if you still need clarification! ik its confusing
Tysm I already did the 9th row and got so confused😭 I'm also a beginner so I didn't know what to do noww, thx for the tip to just keep sc!
Thank you❤
For those who are feeling trouble with 9th row:
You can try with 2dc, inc, 3sc or 3dc, inc, 2sc instead of 3dc, inc, 3sc
Just make sure you have 13 sc at last line
Hope it helps😉

This is beyond cute! Thank you for sharing with us and giving us the English subtitles! Your work is amazing and you have a new sub! 😀
i love all the languages present here in the comments. these are so cute! i have so many projects going right now, but i have to add these to my list. thanks so much for sharing your knowledge & pattern with us. peace. 🧡

wahhh i just got your video suggested and i am SO thankful that you included english crochet terms for the stitches and translation
thank you so much
these gloves are SO cute and i want to make them as a gift!
Great pattern. I made a pair for my partner, who has fairly large hands. I used a 5mm hook and worsted weight yarn to size them up. With those changes, these would easily fit a women's XL glove size (or a men's L) with a little extra wiggle room.
may i please know the measurements? like how wide and how long it came out to be? im thinking about using a light worsted size 3 but idk!
bless this comment. i made a prototype kinda and i could barely fit my hand in there lmao (for reference: im 5'1 lmao and my hands are just slightly bigger than average for my height) and ive been wondering how to make it fit me
@@atsumulovebot Same, I've been trying to make a prototype of this and it hurt to shove my hand inside of it. I was wondering if there was a way to size it up but I may try using the method above too
i love seeing wonderful stuff like this translated and shared with so many people thank you so much
Какие замечательные и оригинальные перчатки. Обязательно свяжу дочке!!)

Sí, me uno a tu petición. Por favor, subtítulos en español. Thank you very much for sharing your work. Beautiful. Could you put subtitles in spanish to your videos? Please. 🙏🏽
@@kareninacontreras748 activen los subtítulos de UA-cam y pongan la opción de traducir automáticamente al español. A mi me ayudo bastante 😁
What a great guide! Thank you. I frel inspired to crochet these for my daughter and me. 💗
I actually really needed this for my Halloween costume this year so I’m saving this video to watch later when I need it
如此美麗可愛
Thank you! I love cats and cute things. :)
Love it😍😍😍 . Dont know chinese but i'll try to follow the pattern just by watching.
she has the pattern written at every round
Thanks for translating to english. I love your work 😀

Instantly subscribed!!! Wow! My little niece will LOVE these! Thank you!
These are super cute! Thank you for sharing the pattern.
eeep adorable!! Also love the new pfp!! So pretty :D 💕
So... cute 🥰😍👌
Has anyone made this pattern? It's great, but I've found that the pattern doesn't really match up with the video once you're doing lines 9+ on the second half of the glove.
What I think is actually happening, is that you stop after line 8 on the second half of the glove.
Don't do the line 9 stated here.
Then you add the extra height to the toe beans by doing the [inc dc] shown while you're joining them together.
Then they should match up nicely!
It's too late for me now though, I have uneven toe beans ;n;
OR for line nine on the second half of the glove, they've just sc around the whole thing. Maybe.
These are adorable !!! Thank you for sharing !
the way i started to recognize the Chinese words for different crochet terms in this video
These are so cute, I wish I was able to follow the English subtitles😭
I don't understand them
Thank you for the English subtitles. You’re pattern for the fingerless gloves is so cute❤❤

ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALKE ABOUT THAT SLIP KNOT TECHNIQUE???
RIGHT?! it is perfection!
非常好的设计。我一直在看如果不介意的话,能不能翻译一下,让日本人也能看懂?我喜欢它。对不起我可怜的中文。
中国語知らなくても字幕に書いて下さってるので分かると思いますよ〜。英語ですがsc(細編み)、inc(同じ目に2回編む)、hdc(中長編み)、dc(長編み)。
例)
13sc,(sc,inc,sc)*3,13scだとしたら
13細編み(細編み,同じ目に2回,細編み)を繰り返し3回,13細編み

Beautifull!!!😍🤩😍🤩
Supra cute! unfortunately my hands are too big 😭
EDIT: I actually remembered that bigger yarn and bigger hook can do the trick to a bigger result
What 's the side of your hands? 😅 (to know if I may use a bigger hook before test this pattern)
@@monokum_4239 you can check if the length of that initial chain fits relative to the length of your palm, and lenghten as needed. and you can add rounds if the width is too small. that's my plan at least, still to be tried though.
Wowooooooo so Beautiful
I am working on the alternate row 8 right now and I am be fuggled because I have 2 stitches left over after it says single crochet 11 at the end. I have gone over the translated rock it writing that I got on this comment board but I may have to go back to the video and watch it. Did anybody else have this problem?
