I've been watching your videos and got inspired to upload climbing videos to my channel. Great work mani! keep up the great work man. I Just subscribed.
oh man the salt thing is true, but beware some people can be very prone to fainting and even seizures if they're among us "lucky few" who always tend to easily become hyponatremic. Fainting and seizures in a wall noo noooo
I like the format that you used for several reasons. The most prominent of these reasons is that I am a very visual learner. The audio dubbed over the climbing ascent and the charts really helped me take in all of the information (which was great information, too). The other reasons are related to this one central reason and I appreciate the effort you go to for your subscribers. Thank you for another great video, I hope your time in Greece treats you well, and I look forward to your next!
Hi Many! I wonder, is there like a top level you can't get around without training? I climb for a small 2 years now. But i get stuck at 6C. (no boulder but lengt) I have an adventage that i'm really lightweighted. (50kg / 173cm) But the disadventage is that i don't gain any weight, whatever i eat (so also no fat to turn into muscles). So i wonder if training is already nessesery before 2 years of climbing. Cause i'm not that into fitness kind of stuff. Hopfully that changes one day. Thanks for your video's they are really inspiring! keep up the good work !
Thanks for these interesting and useful tips on managing weight Mani, a few in there I hadn't heard of before! Looking forward to the mental sharpness one. Hope your trip is going well. :)
Hi Mani. I really enjoy your videos and find your advice very interesting. I would like to do further reading to understand the mechanisms you mention in more detail. I think in general it would be great if you could provide some references in the description of your videos for others to look at. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Or as I do, eat low-carb high fat all the time and therefore be your optimal weight at all times, without cutting salt(which hurts performance), and is amazing for mental clarity and consistent energy.
Care to elaborate the details? I also think having enough "good" fats keeps the hunger away better than carbs. There are of course fast and slow carbs too.
Hey dude! I really enjoy those "practical advice" videos you keep putting out there. And the climbing footage in the background + your animations/charts on the right worked quite good, I think. How about some best of Leonidi video? What crags / routes do/did you enjoy the most? Maybe you can leave me written a hint here, since I am starting my drive down there soon :)
I'd say some of the best sectors are the Twin Caves, Hada, Elona and La Maison de Chevre, and if you like easier stuff on Tufas a lot, Mars is really good.
careful with salt. stomach acids are salt acids. eating something heavier will be harder to digest an will stay longer in digestion system. really goes from person to person. i for example am missing 2kg and i ate properly and then lots of sweets before losing this weight.
Hi Mani. Awesome video, really loved it! Also the "gameplay" thing, with random video with commentary - works well for me! One small thing that might improve the video, would be cutting out the sound of the wind, so that your voice become clearer and easier to focus on.
Cool video. Thank you! The only thing which doubts me is empting glycogen storage in legs. Well I definitely don't know for how long and how fast I should run to use all glycogen in legs and don't influence glycogen in liver. And the other side of this problem is jumps. If the route or the problem is dynamic, aren't fresh leg muscles better?
Thanks for the input, well if you are a competition climber who has to do lots of dynos and stuff, things might be different. For me as a mostly route climber who actually has legs, I can definitely feel the difference an easy evening run the day before makes. Ofc it's a small difference, but if I want 100% everything counts.
Very interesting video mani! Looking forward to your next videos =) How long are you planning to stay in greece ? I cannot wait for my next outdoor trip =D
hey. i usually watch your videos and some more frecuently(the ones about training). and let me tell you that i prefer to see yor face cos i getdistracted, i rather watch you climing than listening hahha. ifi may... i suggest you to make yourvideos more didactive by recording yourself standing or moving across the room. like if you were talking to an audience... like a teacher, you have to make yourself notice and that you can d o with your body and tone of voice. sorry for my weird english i am from Chile. hi! from this side of the world... aprete!
