It wasn’t stating the obvious. He mentioned how people who are qualified should be in positions of power, yet doesn’t acknowledge that women have, evidently due to the sheer number of men in power which clearly can’t be a coincidence, more Barrier’s in the way of becoming qualified. I think there are plenty of qualified women seeking the top ranks of government, I mean law school is slightly predominantly female after all; it’s not like women aren’t educated enough for these positions. But then again, both the differing interests of women and their perhaps stronger inclinations to care for their families could also influence this. But the problem is much more complex than he makes it out to be, imo.

I dont like his take at 8:51 while it is true in some cases which I can't deny but like in a working space if you aren't making the company like thousands more than they pay you then you wont get much more for working harder. My take is that in a workspace social relationships matter alot even if you work hard, because the boss or higher up still decides if they will base their raise or a position move up off of social interactions or just how well/hard they worked. Same goes for firing situations

@@hyphen-1992 It's more like, women tend to be more agreeable, and men tend to be more disagreeable. In a work environment, how much you make is not 100% up to the company, you can always negotiate, and everybody does that. I know a female coworker (who happens to be highly disagreeable) that managed to get 60% increase during her salary negotiation.
Also, not even all men (that do the same job) make the same amount of money. Some men are more disagreeable than others, some men have more experiences than others, some men perform better at work than others.
If women really are being paid less just for being women, then why wouldn't all companies just hire all women instead? Why would they pay more just to have men around?

We were talking about our new teacher in a 200-hour course I was taking and how nice she was. Then the topic shifted to clothing since she dressed pretty nicely, then to wearing less clothing because a girl in a skirt and a top walked by, and one of them said that women who wear less clothes are "r*ped because they're asking for it". Yeah, SHE actually said that, and she was always so nice to everyone. I had to tell her no way and that it's crime. Then she got awkward by my surprise at her statement.

10:14 people always make the point that men benefit from the patriarchy as if men aren’t also harmed by it, the patriarchy is both a benefit and detriment to men and women in certain aspects, men being painted as the strong unemotional type and women being painted as the nurturing emotional type both have negative and positive effects, a woman can uphold the patriarchy just like a man can, so it’s not as simple as “men benefit from it so it’s their fault”, blaming individual men will do nothing, they didn’t create the patriarchy, they can’t magically change the way it effects people and how society is structured, so pointing the blame at individual men for a system that was created centuries ago is so pointless and only makes men feel personally attacked which is not the point of the movement and it is not good for it either

I think all men are then lumped into these stereotypes, when most normal dudes live difficult and lonely lives. Most guys have an average of a single friend. Many don't even have that. 2:47 Women make up over 60% of college students. Her point literally makes no sense. And women are the ones to decide on if they should drop out to start a family…
3:54 everything he mentioned could be explained without the need for feminism. Some of the best teachers I’ve ever had were female. Not because they were female, but because they were just good teachers. Just because some student isn’t listening to a teacher who is of female gender, doesn’t mean it’s a sexist action.
4:57 unless it was cut, I don’t think the guy ever mentioned that it’s a privilege for women to be the ones teaching in class.
5:35 The answer to this question is heavily reliant on more than just the gender of the person. Things like where you were born, ethnicity, previous traditions and other small ones that can influence an answer like this. Just like what a few dudes said, you have to make what you can of it.
8:18 if she really thinks that her male coworker is making more money than her just because she is female for the EXACT SAME WORK. She should take the company to court, as that is literally ILLEGAL. That was just a stupid.

Even when I said I had a really rough life at home with narcissistic family members (men), she said I could "just go to the library". And this is only from 1 female teacher I had. xQc's last take on things is actually very viable and true. But I think the major issues isn't the tools and opportunities that are not afforded to women (other than women in video games example that is extremely unique) but rather has to do with psychological aspects. There are countries with socialist ideologies that try to put in place equal genders in jobs. However the result being is that women still tend to side with social care occupations. This isn't because of sexism or anything it's just the way women's brains function in terms of who or what they work best with. I am all for women in STEM fields, the question in a large majority case is that what they mostly want to do?
I think you can take the field of pyschology for example. It is a relatively high paying job that you'd assume it be dominated by men. But because pyschology is aimed towards helping people, generally you'll see more females choose pyschology because let's face it, women on average are better people persons.

The thing is, I think it’s less of the way the brain of men or women and different but more of just the pressure of society for men to earn more. Obviously not all, but if you ask women what salary would they want their husband to have they will prob say higher or at least around the same salary as they make. Whereas men literally don’t expect anything of a standard from their future gf when it comes to salary in dating. I’m a software tech student and I remember my final year of highschool in my all boys school, the dudes were literally choosing courses they didnt give a shit about for money (engineering, doctors, lawyers, or business). Whereas women get to choose courses they actually are intrested in, which typically means they earn less since most high paying jobs are high paying because it’s boring or difficult so nobody would freely choose that course if they could, but they do so because men think their value in society is greatly predicated on how much they earn. Thats just my random take though

Jokes aside, I sometimes like watching xQc reacting to these videos.
His takes make sense. However, I think *women sometimes focus and specifically target the opposite gender* as a problem to their performance and in what they can do in life. (However, I'm not referring to all.)
Not everyone is raised the same, and as said the guy said, *you make what you can of it.* However, not everyone can do that, but I can assume a majority could if they tried.
A lot of the time, parent's or siblings don't have a wide variety of common sense to pass to their family. It takes struggle, challenges, obstacles, and even trauma to understand how big common sense is. As well as how deep it can go.
I find it very irritating as to how *women, but not all, generalize and limit themselves into what society thinks women should be and what they can do.*
Not only that, to conclude this comment, women aren't the only ones who go through struggles. It isn't generally because of their gender, sure they are stereotyped, but every single person individually goes through a hole.
A spiral of problems. Everyone has a path. That path is empty, and is ready to be filled. That path won't be straight, but those struggles will be the curve. *I may be wrong, but not many people stop and think openly or widely and consider philosophical of logical thinking.*
People just live their life and not worry about it. *Now, I myself don't have general knowledge on the advocation of women's rights and its problems.* I only have prior knowledge on people's actions, why they do it, and who and what led them to do it.
But, if I don't have the knowledge of it, I won't speak of it. I will simply try and search of it. If anything I said in this comment was not logical or sensible in a way, I accept counter claims and replies as well as oppositions.
Take care everyone. Make wise choices.

Some women or "feminists" complain about issues and blame the patriarchy or sexism when it's completely their own fault.
For example, gender pay gap in sports. How can you complain women earn less in sports? For example, soccer/football, the men's stadiums are full of 50,000 fans every weekend. The crowd is 90% men, then you take women's football. Very small crowds, well if women wanted women's footballers to get payed more, they would only need to go to the games. But they don't, in fact probably more men do than women. 99% of people who complain about women's footballers not earning enough have never even bothered to go to a women's game and actually raise their revenue
Same with women in government. Last time I checked, there is an equal number of men and women. In fact, women outnumber men in a lot of countries. So who is voting all these men into power? Women. If women all got together and voted for one candidate, you would have a women president of the USA and any other country, so this is just not a valid complaint seeing as women and men get the same say

About the salary part, women tend to me more agreeable, and men tend to be more disagreeable.

Women CHOOSE jobs that pay less so they make 77 cent to the dollar that a man makes. That's the study. Don't twist it. If a woman gets the same job as me at the same company it simply comes down to worth/value in that position. If Stacy and Mark work for Apple as an IT developer and Stacy makes 80k to start while Mark makes 80k to start. Mark asks for 3 raises that year while outperforming Stacy. He gets 2 of those 3 raises. Stacy asks for 1 raise but doesn't get it. That's the main factor that makes feminists THINK it's a wage gap.

    • @TimothyGreenRiot
      @TimothyGreenRiot 2 роки тому +4

also that 77:100 statistic makes no sense because of how broad it is, this statistic was made by averaging the income of all women : averaging the income of all men which completely misses out all of the things that are natural that happen to each sex which may affect this statistic
tldr: 77:100 stat is bs and out of context ,modern feminism is cringe

    • @XAkiraOtakuX
      @XAkiraOtakuX 2 роки тому +1

Nope the 77 cent stat in an average of all woman doing x work. There a lot of confounding variables that aren't being considered. For example woman are more likely to take maternity leave or take years off their career to raise kids. The men who don't take leave and have wife/new baby at home are more likely to get that raise because everyone is sympathetic to one income to feed 2 mouths. He is seen to "need it more" over Stacy. This means that the average gets skewed to make it seem like Stacy LITERALLY gets paid less than Mark but it isn't true. Actually when looking at single child free people men and woman get paid exactly the same

@EmberAspect i think you have the wrong idea here - women are not seen as lesser choices because of those conditions. instead, they make decisions and choices given those behaviors (i'm having trouble wording this lmao).
women are not hired less or paid less because they are more emotional or not natural leaders. we can look at the trait of agreeableness, for example. because women are more agreeable, they are less likely to be hostile and aggressive and competitive in the workplace. as a result, they are less likely to ask for a raise, and so they are less likely to receive a raise (though it has been shown that men and women have an equal chance of receiving a raise if requested - it's just that men tend to be more comfortable with asking, and so they ask more often). that's just one of a few traits - women also tend to be more neurotic (more prone to negative emotions), women are more sociable and friendly, men are more assertive, men are greater risk-takers, etc.
it's pretty complex stuff, and i have to disagree with people who label it all under one umbrella term - a "wage gap." there are a number of factors that play into it. in the end, the common 79% wage gap metric doesn't even exist - the non-adjusted gender pay gap is not itself a measure of discrimination.
but, i digress haha. i completely agree with your last point about letting people do tasks and paying them for it. i guess i believe in meritocracy - hire the most competent individuals (regardless of ethnicity, gender, etc.).
