Def true to size. The jacket is really warm so you shouldn't need to overly bulk under it as well I'm 5'10 190 with wider shoulders and long arms and a large fit me well . Check the sizing chart and it should guide you well
Yes! I usually wear a base layer and a quilty mid layer. Hood may or may not fit inside the hh hood depending on how oversized the hood your hoodie hood is
@@UtmostCoin yea cuz before I tried on the HH alpha 4.0 and that jacket was too slim, it didn’t fit with my hoody. So I wonna kno if this jacket fits like that one or not
Hey man, thanks for the review. I'm just now considering buying the jacket, there are some good discounts if you got the right size. Can you just tell me which pants are you wearing in the video? It goes really well aesthetically with the jacket and i pressume they are also top notch. Thanks
You're gonna love the jacket! In terms of the pants, they're actually a bib from Mountain Hardwear. The model I believe is the "Boundary Ridge GORE-TEX". They are lightweight, flexible and have been keeping me dry throughout many seasons of abuse. They should be on sale at a lot of places (Rei got em for $230 instead of $400 rn).
I'm thinking about getting the alpha 3.0 because it's on a really good sale. Do you know how it's different? I'm worried these jackets will be too warm for the Tahoe area that I snowboard... Highs of 40-43f and lows of 20-23f degree averages...
From my experience they're very similar but I think the 3.0 is a bit less warm as it's also listed good for spring and fall also reviews saying you have to layer for colder conditions For the infinity, I just wear a t shirt and fully vent under for warmer days and it tends to do the trick, but I also run super hot so might not be the best gauge.
@@UtmostCoin I appreciate your reply thank you! I run pretty hot as well I typically just wear an under armor base layer and I'm good. I think I might go with the 3.0 being on sale and all as well. And think you could recommend some pants? I typically wear just shell pants with a base layer but my stuff is old! And in the video I like how those pants fit. I appreciate the feed back thank you.
I use bibs for pants. Mountain Hardwear is where the pants are from and I got them on sale from REI or Backcountry. Usually they are pretty expensive.. Alternatives that I've also liked are montec, trew and flylow are also brands I trust.
@@UtmostCoin Thanks bro I appreciate the information! Do you do shell or insolation bib/pants? I've been doing shell with under armor cold thermals and that's been perfect! I might just keep doing that.
Yah I usually get shells for flexibility... I do underarmour too and for deathly cold like in the northeast where I live I wear insulated knickers on top of them (stio and Backcountry have good options)
@@juancibert I'm about the same weight as you...I think the large should work depending on your build and how much you layer. I was still able to wear a base layer and midlayer under neath the jacket.
Is the fit true to size or size up?

What gloves do you have?
The Burton touch n go glove: amzn.to/3Dg448k
They're my go to glove when my hestras are too hot
Hey I want to know, does this jacket have room for layering with a hoody?

@@UtmostCoin so I tried it on 2day at sun&ski and it fitted perfectly with the hoody I was wearing. I ordered this on amazon. Excellent jacket

Whats size is the jacket ?? And you height? Thanks
I"m 5'10 and I wear a large in this jacket

How does it compare to HH lifaloft jacket? Warmer?
Insulation is about the same.. but the infinity has better waterproofness and windproofness so those could factor into your warmth considerations.
