This is one of those songs that just hits you so hard with nostalgia that it momentarily breaks you. I was 12 years old when this song came out. Snow Day, I loved that movie, and this song sounds so Disney, but also so classic. God I wish I could go be a kid/adolescent again. We don’t have the mental and emotional maturity to appreciate it while we’re there and before we know it, we’re adults and life is so much more complicated.
32 dude here, i remember when this song played EVERYDAY in December 2000 with snow day coming out I wish i could find the snow day music video with this song
Because it's an awesome song. And not in a bad pop way. The lyrics are actually cool and about overcoming a break up. Like, being used and taken advantage of and getting smarter because of it.
Every year the week before and week of christmas I listen to this. It was for Nickelodeon's Snow Day movie. The music video was CONSTANTLY on Nickelodeon.
Other than the part about, "that's alright, that's ok," this song SO describes how older children feel when the younger children in their household or family get off easy for things that would have earned THEM a good, long, stern talking to when THEY were the VERY SAME AGE. Or when the younger children in a household or family are simply granted certain privileges and freedoms that the older kids were told THEY wouldn't be allowed until THEY were MUCH older, and/or had to actually be EARNED.
This song describes how I felt when I used to have a conflict with someone, and my parents would come off like they were siding with the other person. Except the part about, "that's alright, that's ok."
I haven’t heard this song in so long. Such a classic from my childhood!
I never heard til this year! It's on rotation now.
Should've been the theme for 'Legally Blonde'. And 'Perfect Day' should've been the theme for 'Snow Day'.
Hearing them both, it could of been like that.
I definitely agree!
Yeah they kind of screwed the pooch on that one!
@Robert Dubs I think Green Day’s “Time of Your Life” should’ve been the theme of Snow Day
Great observation!! Being older it makes perfect sense.... What were those execs thinking?? 😂
