There was another interesting situation on animal jam some time ago. I don’t remember who exactly it was, but they would spam users accounts with bot friend requests and in turn would use things like this to get into their account. And a less sinister one where several rainbow flashing bots would show up all over the servers and were just kind of annoying. It’s funny to think about the effort full grown people or even kids will go through to ruin a game made for young children
I was there for the worst of the Toontown stuff, honestly. I dunno if you could even describe some of it. Folks hacking the Mickey Mouse NPC, a person getting everyone to gather in the Toon HQ only for him to start "doing a show" by messing with his own model in borderline sexual ways if it wasn't a cartoon dog.
My AJ account got hacked and the worst part was that it was a member's account with shit tons of rare stuff. The one saving grace was that they didn't take anything at my house.

i dont really know if this counts since its quite recent, but actually there kind of was a "moviestarplanet" incident. in 2020 msp was hacked by like 2 people causing the game to be barely functional for a few days. i was actually there when it happened, it was quite the experience. if i recall correctly, the hackers were making the npcs spout slurs, putting a lot of memes everywhere, and overall just being really really edgy. according to the hackers it was to like, show the msp staff how horrid their security system was or something i think??? if im not misremembering. it was kind of interesting
I'm unsure if this part of the same hacking incident, but they would also hack into the movie extras and give them new clothes (which that part I liked tbh, they needed more outfits), delete some highscorers' accounts, and also get very new accounts to the highscores. And I think Pixi Star got hacked as well? I remember most of inventory being wiped clean and the hackers would make her dress all weird.
