When I play War Thunder nowadays, I'm usually playing solo for video footage, but fellow content creator OddBawZ was kind enough to reach out and ask me if I wanted to knock out a few matches with him. He's always given me the impression he's a chill guy, so I said yes. We ended playing for a while so this is more of a funny moments compilation than a proper video, but I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless. Even when you're getting certified Gaijin moments back to back, playing with a friend makes it much more bearable.

i got to 7.7 tanks and 6.7 planes for sweden in that time. though sweden tends to need experience to play othgerwise its painful

@@neovenatorgamer8778 I've been playing since October of last year I don't think I have enough experience 😂 but truly the biggest problem with it is just the starter ammunition for every swedish tank I get it, it's like the annoyance level of I got to actually be and have some distance between me and the enemy for the shell to do something because there's a high chance the Shell's just going to rip right through them and not do anything or only knock out one crew member especially when I shoot them in the turret and I take out something like the loader or the commander instead of killing the Gunner
Don't keep pushing. If you're net enjoyment is negative, do yourself a favour and quit. WT can be fun, but more often than not it's not fun, and if you're part of the people who end up with a negative net enjoyment you'd be doing yourself a disservice to push on. Speaking from experience.

Shells performing differently on colder maps is the perfect example of Gaijin focusing on things that don't matter at all to game play.
Wouldnt more realistic mechanics make for a better game play experience for...realistic battles?

@@CobraDBlade soon... We will have logistics so your shell can partially fail, and it does so more often for some countries etc...

@@Echinacae Shells already often fail. Have you never seen your shells penning right on a gunner's face only to not detonate or do more than turn him into a Simpson?
I love when two creators collab and both post the same video. Even tho it's technically the same content the different POV makes it completely different even if it is the same match
the Chilean Sherman would be a nice addition because that means Sherman with APFSDS, and then the only thing missing would be a Swedish Sherman for the ultimate Sherman collection.

They could add the Chilean Chaffee with the high velocity gun and the Leo2A4CHL (The same as the tech tree but with better engine and coms (at least not like the premiun)

I would love to see the Chilean M-60 too. The Chilean army was in a pretty desperate situation in the late 70 and early 80s. Three hostile neighbors and and very limited capacity to get new equipment due to the US military embargo, so clever solutions like these were all we could do. The HVMS was also fitted to our M24s funnily enough, thanks IMI!

It's not that the game can't be fun, it's just that there is room for improvement and potential, but Gaijin doesn't try to improve things.
It's not that the game can't be fun, it's that more often than not it's very much not fun, and it's generally because of Gaijin, yes. The more I played the more I realised the few fun moments weren't worth it, at least for me.
@@MaxRavenclaw The few moments of fun were "engineered" to trick you into playing/paying more. Good on you that you realized it's not worth it.
@@bickboose9364 Honestly, I'm not even sure they're intentional. The engineered bits are more insidious, the constant events, the barely obtainable but still achievable vehicles, typical skinner box techniques.

for the APHE turning into AP, gajin made the AP round the defualt round for pretty much every 76 mm gun in the US tech tree...

The game is fun when you don't have to think about repair cost, Silver lion, vehicle grind and volumetric. But just playing with your squad. Coordinating, giving CAS, and etc especially when you have the long match
You, Odd, Phly and bo time are the reasons I started playing warthunder. I would really love to see a collab video with all of you just fucking around.
I enjoy a few other cc's such as Justin and Turny as well.
one time me and a few friends were playing and we all went in pumas and tried going around somewhere. we ran into bo and the others but they were in heavys and we were playing at 5.3. went to his channel and we got featured.
3:14 you hit just a shell, the IS-2 uses 2 piece ammo so it won't (its actually just super unlikely, but can explode) ammorack the tank, its the same thing on any tank with 2 piece ammo but for example the Tiger II 10.5 and IS-2s can still get ammoracked because the shell itself is APHE, solid AP or APDS/FSDS is completely inert
yeah i'm sure its all it takes to stop a full AP shell and its burning tracer. Half a piece of ammo, don't worry about solid shot being either torture or having broken deflection angles.
@@riv4lm4n its not entirely improbably given the amount of armour it just went through and then the weight of the round it hit but i wouldnt want to test my luck.
@@random_tech_adept6117 M79 shot has 132mm of pen at that distance versus the 100mm of the IS2's turret's back. This would have tore apart those ammo and filled the turret with spalling and wrecked the crew apart. And this is after the gamewide nerf to AP shells (weird they tend to be starter rounds). Hell, this video gave me strong vibes of CC discovering a hell they never went through being forced to use solid shot because of a bug.
Notice how if you hit the sabot rounds and not the charges on t-72,t-64,t-90 and t-80 autoloaders, it counts the sabot round with zero flammable materials in it as something that could cause an ammo rack. They will change shell speed based on temperature but can't think about this for more than a second. Real great gajin

I like playing with a friend where we don’t always mutually support each other the entire map and we just have casual conversations. It makes it relaxing in its own way.
Coincidentally this video shows it. To me, there’s at least a few different ways to make WT enjoyable and this way is by far one of my favorites. More than sticking by your buddy’s side constantly and taking the game seriously.

this game makes me feel like my balls get crushed with a sledgehammer every session. But every “target destroyed” gives me just enough serotonin to keep going
these videos are nice when you're going through one of those times where everything you know about the game and how to play it evaporates out of your skull and you become a bot for a week or so.

I remember having a blast playing low tier and arcade with my friends a while ago. Even playing two BB-1s in RB with one of my friends on our shitty 200$ laptops all the way back in 2016. They’ve all moved on and now I’m in near top tier and suffering. They made the right call i guess lmao

Third-person cameras usually bug me, maybe I'm just so used to the cockpit perspective in games like Mechwarrior. Mechwarrior Online actually has an interesting mechanic attached to the third-person perspective. You can use it to look over cover, but there is an actual drone that hovers above your battlemech when you do so, allowing enemies with a devious streak to aim directly at the camera drone to call in an air or artillery strike with pinpoint precision. However, because arty and air are extremely limited in that game, a savvy light 'mech pilot can use the drone away from his lance, bait attacks, and sprint off before they land, depriving the enemy of force multipliers when the rest of the lance attacks.

Im gonna have fun soon, just unlocked the M36B2 and have started slogging through the upgrades. That HEAT-FS round will finally allow me to reverse the roles on these pesky panthers and allow me to mouse over them to kill. And also makes for an amazing long range shell.

Dunno why but that mi4 on the roof reminded me of when my blackwidow went down on the roof of a building in a (dont remember what the mode is called but pretty much capture the flag with static points) but I crashed on a roof right near our point, just happened to be above my buddy Chase so I spent like 10 minutes calling out everything that came near him because I could spectate my own plane. Was tons of fun
