Ikävintä kuitenkin oli havaita muihin Vikingin aluksiin verrattuna se, että infossa oli havaittavissa asenne, että matkustajan tullessa kertomaan kokemastaan virheestä hyttiosaston tekniikassa, hänen kertomansa tyrmätään suoralta kädeltä. Kun sitten huomataan matkustajan olleen sittenkin oikeassa, niin sitten kaivetaan mielikuvituksesta jokin "uskottava" selitys tapahtumalle. Vastaavaa en ole havainnut viikkarin muilla aluksilla Suomi-Ruotsi-linjoilla. Kai tämä oli sitten jokin "musta lammas".
Passande musik i slutet. Även om det ännu dröjde några dagar innan försäljningen blev offentlig kände nog många oss på oss att detta skulle bli hennes sista avgång från hemmahamnen. Nu har hon skiftat både namn och flagg och gulmålningen har påbörjats.
Beautiful, but sad, video....I only travelled with Mariella 2 times, but she was a good experience. I am sure that her new owners will take good care of her - and she will for sure be among quite a lot of former Nordic ferries down in and around Italy. If covid restrictions allow it in August this year, I hope to "repeat" my holiday from 2019: Rosella to Mariehamn, Grace to Turku and then back to Stockholm with....well not Mariella anymore, but then probably Gabriella....I keep my fingers crossed :-) I miss the archipelago so much! PS. Hope that MS Eckerö is doing good. That is also a nice old ferry from my hometown of Aalborg.

@@MrFinlandsuomi Kan ha varit så att köparna av konkurrensskäl inte ville att nyförvärvet skulle offentliggöras förrän de själva önskade det. Det är hård konkurrens i trafiken mellan öarna till Frankrike resp Italien.
@@MrFinlandsuomi Yes, In my opinion, it would be expected that the Viking Line would stay on 7 ships in 2022. From a financial perspective, it is never known, by selling amorella they would earn approximately 25m€. If she stays she will serve the Helsinki Stockholm line in 2022

As a small kid I traveled on this through a Storm to stockholm, Sad to see she’s no longer at the port of Helsinki.

According to an italian website, Mariella has been sold to Corsica ferries and will join ex Silja Festival and Karneval under the name Mega Regina.
There is even a tweet about it on Corsica Ferries Twitter account.

I thought it was a good idea to put M/S Amorella on her old route, i hope Viking Line does so instead of selling her. But the odds for that are low.
