If that doesn't want you to fall to your knee's and praise God, I don't know what will! I can listen to that song a thousand times and still have tears streaming down my face! Praise God!
Most might not realize that this song was originally written and recorded by gospel singer and song writer Don Francisco,Dollys cover just brought it into the main stream.
*YES!!* Old-time Pentecost, at that. Long hair, long dresses, no makeup, no jewelry. So that helps people understand a little more about why her family was so horrified that her teen style icon was the town "lady of the night".
I love your reaction and your story! Dolly has always written and performed songs about her faith; she considers herself extremely rooted in spirituality. She was made a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2008 and Dollywood was actually the home of the Southern Gospel Association Hall of Fame and Museum for a number of years! A few more of her spiritually led songs that I think you guys would love are “Hello God” (2002) “Peace Like a River” (2023) ft. Dion Warwick “God only Knows” (2019) with For God and Country “There Was Jesus” (2019) with Zach Williams
One of my favorite Dolly performances. Since you liked this performance, you may want to check out Dolly's live performance of "Hello, God". She wrote it after 9-11. Some powerful and moving lyrics.
You are 100 per cent correct. The young think that they know it all. To them the older generation is of long time ago, old fashion and behind the times. What can I say? Ignorance is something but Stupidity is something else. Unfortunately many of us have to go to the school of hard knocks. Well that's ok but if you continue to do it your way, "the Burger King Way" and do not listen after once or twice and choose to stay stuck in the "Stupid Mode", well so be it. But anyway could you please play another song by Dolly Parton called, "Me and Little Andy" I sure would appreciate it. That and your opinion. I thank you two so much. Have a Blessed Evening. Adios.
I was at Dollywood at a theater that just played her music and this song came on and it gave me chills and I was just merely 10 years old maybe almost 11 and I was saved at 13 baptized at 14 The song goes gives me chills every single time I hear it It just takes me back to growing up in the spirituality that I grew up with and the kind of church that I grew up in and my grandmother and her god-fearing ways and just brings back a lot of memories of that and God I missed that woman there's some days that this song is just a simply blessing day to hear it some days it's a song that brings me back to church then some days rings me back to you running around the summers and numerous times that I went to my grandmother's and learning how to read through her Bible and then there's some days that I just absolutely get chills from this song and this is my favorite song to post for Easter because I can remember the story of Jesus being crucified and how he forgives us for not what we do but what he chose to do for us and humanity needs to turn to God in the truth and with y'all's channel you speak that everyday and I love your channel I love your content and your babies are so adorable I'm so glad this song was put on here I needed this today
This is a cover version from Ms Parton (great as it is). It was written by singer/songwriter Don Francisco and first featured on an album by him in 1977. It’s obviously an account of Resurrection Sunday from the perspective of Peter. Don actually won Song Of The Year for this plus Songwriter Of The Year at the Dove Music Awards 1980. It was of course brought to the attention of the mainstream by Dolly! 😊
Sung from the perspective of Peter. Great song with a great message. We are all forgiven. We just have to accept that and ask Jesus in our hearts, and confess with our mouths we are saved!
Thank you for sharing your joy in Jesus Christ. And thank you for standing for God fearing marriages. I hope and pray you both continue to grow in your love for Him as He continues to strengthen your marriage and family. Just be warned, the years fly by fast. I can’t believe it has almost been 47 years since my husband and I prayed together promising God to keep Him center as we entered into marriage.
This is one of my favorites from Dolly. I start Easter morning every year with this. It's my ritual. You should react to Hello God and Silver and Gold by Dolly. She's such a wonderful woman. ❤❤❤❤
If you have the time... find a recording by the songwriter, Don Francisco.... it will MOVE you... Dolly is of course, Dolly and amazing, but there is something special about the songwriter performing it... and he usually does it with just an acoustic guitar....
I love you young people's message ❣️ I see the baby there too that is a true blessing from God and I'm glad that you respect the sanctity of marriage and realize how important it is like you said in this day and times... You should react to Dolly's song liar liar the world's on fire and also Don't make me have to come down there❤😂
Dolly didn't write this one. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Dolly wrote a powerful song called "Hello, God" that begged for forgiveness and time for mankind to make amends. The other song she wrote at this time was "Raven Dove."
If that doesn't want you to fall to your knee's and praise God, I don't know what will! I can listen to that song a thousand times and still have tears streaming down my face! Praise God!
Same here every time I hear it.
Dolly's grandpa was a holiness preacher. She was raised in the church and in the choir. She has done several gospel projects.
Most might not realize that this song was originally written and recorded by gospel singer and song writer Don Francisco,Dollys cover just brought it into the main stream.
Fun fact Dolly Parton was raised in a Pentecostal Church
Me too! Thank you Lord!
*YES!!* Old-time Pentecost, at that. Long hair, long dresses, no makeup, no jewelry. So that helps people understand a little more about why her family was so horrified that her teen style icon was the town "lady of the night".
My wife and I got married young and we believe it was by God's design that was 54 years ago and still in love.
I love hearing/reading that. 😊
I saw it live on TV. This song is by Don Francisco.
This was amazing, tears were just falling from my eyes, happy tears!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💖💖💖💖

This song was written by Don Francisco and he recorded it and it was a big hit in Christian music years before Dolly covered it.
Yes.. but dolly blessed it.

Dolly didn’t write this song but Dolly is known for being very vocal about her faith in God.
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
Romans 12:12
Sung from the perspective of Peter. Great song with a great message. We are all forgiven. We just have to accept that and ask Jesus in our hearts, and confess with our mouths we are saved!
Dolly has another song called Hello God I think you will like it.😊
Bless you❤!❤

You have to hear Hello God from Dolly. It's phenomenal.
She wrote I will always love you.
Yall should check out her song “rocking years” with Ricky Van Shelton. A really sweet love song with Christian references
Listen to “Coat of many colors”, It is a garment that Jacob gives to his son Joseph in Genesis 37
Coat of many colors!
I love your reactions and comments to Dolly's " He's Alive"❤❤
If you have the time... find a recording by the songwriter, Don Francisco.... it will MOVE you... Dolly is of course, Dolly and amazing, but there is something special about the songwriter performing it... and he usually does it with just an acoustic guitar....

You should react to Dolly's song liar liar the world's on fire and also
Don't make me have to come down there❤😂
The Don Francisco version is even better. And its the original. His builds up and seems to get more powerful as it goes.
Dolly didn't write this one. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Dolly wrote a powerful song called "Hello, God" that begged for forgiveness and time for mankind to make amends. The other song she wrote at this time was "Raven Dove."
Dolly is talking about judas how he betrayed Jesus.
