And you must not change the longer bar you were pierced with to a short bar for at least 9 months due to the swelling. Also only use ROCK SALT to clean, NEVER table salt as this will harm and irritate the piercing. I have lots of piercings including my belly button and several years experience of healing all sorts of piercings. I have made mistakes along the way and learned from them.
