After discovering you guys a few seasons back I will say you have made my nuggets experience so much more enjoyable. I was a huge Nuggs fan and after tuning in to you over the years I am now a diehard. I feel connected to you guys and enjoy each of your unique takes on things. DNVR is special and I appreciate what you provide to us fans. Much love and safe travels back to Denver fellas! See ya at the take overs this season!!

European basketball is huge and super-exciting. Serbia and Greece both have intense passion for their hoops. This year's Eurobasket tournament is absolute must-see TV.
And a lot of what you guys are expounding on is the beauty of traveling and exploring different cultures. The world would be such a better place if people traveled more often.
Belgrade and Athens are two awesome cities and have the most intense hoops fans.

I love the end and how it fits so well with the Nuggets culture. From Jokic to Bones and MPJ, there’s a feeling of family and faith that brings them together. The Nuggets, as much as any NBA team I’ve ever seen, really are a family.

I can't remember the exact date when I started following your work, but it has been 3-4 years for sure. I've watched probably 90% of your podcasts about the Nuggets and what I like the most is how genuine you are. You are fans but at the same time classy media members who take the time to disect the game to it's core. I am really happy that you enjoyed your time here in Serbia. You would be welcomed anyways, but especially because you showed faith and love for one of our players. You showed genuine interest in our country, our religion, our cuisine, our 🥃 😄, our points of view on sports, life, everything, not out of politeness but because you really care. People feel that. I'm a Nuggets fan not because of Nikola Jokic but because of you guys. Your dedication and positive energy kept me coming back day after day, game after game. I don't watch many games, I have two kids, so I can't stay up so late anymore, but every morning after the game I turn on your show and have an awesome time. Win or lose, I go through it with you. Thank you for your efforts and everything you've put into this and making this so awesome for all of us.
I can't wait for that documentary! Love you guys, have a safe trip back home!

Well said. I started to follow the Nuggets because of Jokić but I started to be a fan of the Nuggets because of them, whole Nuggets media - Harrison and Allie when they was BSN, the rest when they was stiffs and then DNVR gathered all diehards and become functioning like a family, not as business and that's something that we respect, because we are not into corporate things, we are more family oriented and that's the reason why this is clicking and it reflects the Nuggets as organisation as well, family oriented. Look Altitude, for years they are in dispute but they didn't fired anyone (at least not that I'm not aware), and yeah even though the Nuggets fans couldn't watch via old cable TV, now new opportunities have opened like evoca tv that came perfectly with the DNVR, both young companies that have big plans.
      I'm sure they will return.

I am a fan since I saw Issell fake a defender out of his socks when I was a kid with a slow pump fake. One my favorite teams was its worst team. But this is a blessing to be a part of. I hope to visit you in Serbia sometime and enjoy your family.

    • @rebellion-starwars
      @rebellion-starwars 2 роки тому +1

@@bradarnholt9124 oh wow from what I heard Dan was loved in Denver, but that means that you are old school fan, usually fans who started to follow the Nuggets because of Mello are not fan of this era. The thing that I don't understand is if you love a team every generation have some good player that everyone likes, and you as true fan should appreciate the players/leaders from every era, no reason to dislike someone just because he will probably get his jersey retired over your fav player but that proves the greatness and loyalty, because Jokić will be a Nugget for life if they don't trade him because Jokić proved that this summer when he signed new extension but Mello forced his way out even though that actually made this team, and probably allowed them to take him at 41. Jamal is directly drafted from NY pick I believe? But my point is that loyalty means something, Dan was loyal and probably that's why you loved him so much.
You are welcome, a lot of people from the US are coming here to spend a rest of the life in pension. You have some videos, look it up. Americans who moved here in the Serbia.
Racism doesn't exist (maybe less than 1%) but that's really, really small number and you literally can't feel any racism), bad neighbourhoods doesn't exist. You can freely walk in the middle of the night in the dark alley and you will be perfectly safe. That's some important things. People here (most of the people) understand that your government make all bad things in the past, not the people so from that side is safe as well and because of our religion (Christian Ortodox) we are family oriented, little bit old school, not much liberal and hospitality is a must, for example if you are at some rural part and you passes the house, there's no houses around for miles his obligation is to ask you are you thirsty, hungry, do you need help... And that's something is you're going to feel here. For example if you ask someone where's something, he's going above and beyond to help you, even he will go with you to show you and make sure that you are safe and sound.
That's something that you can't explain except to feel it.
Hopefully you will come and visit our beautiful land (and even tho we are small country the nature is stunning, we have everything from flat land (ex panonian sea) and that's very fettle land that can literally feed up half of the Europe, then from Belgrade to the south you have hills, mountains and that's perfect for other agriculture and ofc we have plenty of meat, why the fellas loved our food? It's because its almost all organic, it's easy to find, eags taste perfectly, we have different kind of cheeses as well, mushrooms and I'll stop counting now because I'm hungry 😂
My point is that everyone who visit Serbia once have enlightening experience that changes his life for sure

@@rebellion-starwars Thank you for taking the time to respond. I myself am a Lutheran pastor, very conservative and highly liturgical. I would thoroughly enjoy the Orthodox service. I would need to learn the language to fully appreciate it. The theological importance of the structure, its icons, art and architecture are lost on Americans unfortunately. The theology of a structure that is built to stand for a thousand years reflects the Scriptures that tell us God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Yet here in the states buildings are constructed to last 40 years and built around the ideals of man rather than a structure that itself, teaches tje everlasting truths of the Bible.
But this is also basketball, and it is a joy to share a love of something like this with people from across the globe. Thankyou for showing the DNVR people so much love.

Boys, this was an awesome pod. I may be Serbian and biased to an extent, but I think the excitement you showed in learning about and experiencing a culture and history of basketball from a different place was real cool and I imagine that interest and excitement translates and rubs off on fans no matter their background.
As a particularly different country with a strong basketball history Serbia may be a bit more unique than the average DNVR trip you could take, but would love to see more content like this in some other places where you open up other basketball cultures and histories to the DNVR fan base (Vlatko's Slovenia, Jamal's Hamilton/Canada, or maybe some other DNVR connections outside of current players if the crew has).
As a side note - the crowds in Belgrade can 100% get louder than this for certain club basketball games/Euroleague, or a national team game with a bit more importance. Though this one was definitely unique in terms of on- and off-court star power, and the overall level of play, especially by Jok and Giannis.
    Thanks for the great content!

I hope that I'll be able to be available for your next visit.
Glad that you felt that way but to be honest, I know personally a lot of people who came in Serbia for few days, a lot of them by accident because of their flights and decided to stay for the few days, days become to weeks and after that they are coming back to Serbia every time that they have time to do it, many of them are skipping sea at mexico or stuff like that because they are coming to Serbia for vacation and they are bringing friends, friends bringing friends so after 10 years or so his whole company is coming in the Serbia on regular basis, even one guy moved here because he's in the IT sector so it doesn't matter from where he's working and now he's in Serbia, having Serbian girlfriend and he's going to marry her (she doesn't know that yet, but he's planning to ask her and he wants to change his religion to Cristian Ortodox just to have a wedding in the church as she always dreamed about + to gain respect from her parents even tho they are approving him 💯, because he's a good person, good man.
So I firmly believe that you're going to come back to the Serbia regularly for sure.
Airserbia will have direct flight from Chicago soon as well as NYC that they have now.
And with a good press, if you represent serbia in the good way in the US we have a law that is possible to give citizenship (we are accepting dual citizenship, so no need to decline your own) for the people who is doing good things for Serbia, by marketing, by donations etc.. Many people got their, Charles Carter from the US got his because he have UA-cam channel and he's speaking good about Serbia and Serbians, today he have US and Serbian citizenship (perfect combination with Serbian you can enter without visa to all countries that you need visa if you are from the US, like Russia, China, Cuba, many south America, Africans countries etc... and the list is long. He (Charles) said that this enables him to travel to the countries that he never dreamed about visiting. There's a French guy Arne Guyon something like that, he got citizenship because he was gathered humanitarian aid for Serbians at Kosovo, after few times he got his citizenship. Charles got from parlament president. So you're already covered on media here, if you continue and make sure that your documentary is looked at RTS and some other Serbian content, visit you can possibly get our citizenship and I'm serious it, no BS.

It is not like Giannis is now a good free throw shooter and Jokić suddenly a bad one, its just an odd game.

He was tired as hell, double and triple teamed, plus the was at Bogi's wedding and was having more than couple of beers.
That being said, you're absolutely correct about him missing last 5 out of 6 it's.

@@Mihaylovich I am not trying to downgrade or blame Jokic. I only wanted to mention, that not mentioning it was a bit biased. I love a Jokic my with whole heart and I am super happy he won. Him not making FT is a bit disappointing but anybody can have bad FT night. I just think, when talking about emotions during that game, it was worth mentioning, because that moment changed this game for me from “ok - we got this”, to “o crap, it’s getting nervous.

@@BadP0tat0 I think they just didn't want to mess with the "perfect" feeling they felt because of the whole trip, and concluded they wont ponder on the free throws because it could lead them into negativity and stuff. They should also mention Jaramaz in a negative context for taking that three without any need, while he could have gone to the hoop and taken a foul. But they just didn't want to talk about it as well. And I guess I'm fine with it because I am glad for them that they experienced all this in these recent days, they can be realty disecting journalists again when they come back to Denver.
