The seemingly mundane task of accepting a ceremonial offering of butter on the remote island of Goth soon unravels into a complex web of intrigue and danger for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. As they delve deeper into the island's mysteries, they encounter a chilling atmosphere and a suspicious local population.
The recent demise of the island's ruler, Mrs. Horn, casts a long shadow over the island. Holmes, with his keen eye for detail, suspects foul play and begins to unravel the truth behind her untimely death. His suspicions are further ignited by the enigmatic behavior of the island's housekeeper, Mrs. Reeves, whose motives remain shrouded in secrecy.
As the investigation progresses, Holmes uncovers a sinister plot orchestrated by Mrs. Reeves, a German spy with ambitions to turn the island into a strategic submarine base. To achieve her goal, she has eliminated anyone who stands in her way, including Mrs. Horn.
To thwart Holmes's investigation, Mrs. Reeves employs a series of cunning tactics, including drugging the detective and trapping him in a hidden cavern. However, Holmes, ever the master of deception, turns the tables on his adversary. He feigns intoxication, leading Mrs. Reeves to believe he is incapacitated. Meanwhile, Watson.....
