Hi VP, I hope everything is going well with you and I’d like to find you in the best situation, healthwise, familywise, moneywise, spiritually wise and so on, name it. You are an awesome, but I mean it, an awesome person, and it’s so tough to meet one like you these days. My name is Roumen and I am 59 years old, living for the last 30 years in Calgary, Canada. VP, you are giving so much to the community, and for FREE, that I feel obligated to write this comment, showing my respect and appreciation to the monster work which you are doing for all of us. I watched all of your great and precious, and 100% meaningful videos, and whatever topic you catch, you man, just hit the ball in the center. You are one great mentor, and very good in translating the forex language to the people, again, all my respect for doing all this. I started with the markets in the early nineties, the old traditional stuff, stocks, bonds, options. Never been a professional, but I’ve always been looking for a more efficient way to make money. After, working as a waiter and a bartender for quite some time, which I hated, I took the courses and got the licence for a mortgage broker. And…this is what I am still doing, boring business, but it brings the bread and butter in a comfortable way. So, I was doing my mortgages, making people’s dreams to own their own house a reality, and playing as a dilettante the stock market. But in 1997 I met a girl, who introduced me to the retail forex market. And, boy, what happened was like a thunderstorm. I am still, not sure what was the true reason, the girl or the forex itself, but this animal became one of my few passions in life (I mean the Forex😊). First, I started to self educate myself, Investopedia, babypips and so, the resources were pretty limited that time. Then I bought the “Market Trader’s Institute” of Jared Martinez, spend bunch of money on stupid indicators and systems, later got all the products of Russ Horn, Michael Nurok, Nicola Delic and so on, can’t even remember all of them. I don’t mean to say anything wrong about all of these guys, I learned a lot of stuff from them, and this was the main objective, anyway. I took, in time all the money out of the stocks, blew two accounts, the first, I opened in 1998 with 25,000 survived not even two years, and then the second, and the last for 85,000 (almost like the stupid Martindale Strategy) survived 4 years, before I blew it. Since, then I don’t remember a day in my life without spending, at least an hour dealing with my Lovely Forex, researching, trading my demos, news, educating myself, always looking for new and better stuff. Now, I am at a stage that I can trade, not bad even from a naked chart, but never opened a real account since 2005. I wouldn’t say that it’s a fear, but more likely procrastination. It’s like a crazy confidence, that if I badly need money, I can always go to the nearby ATM and pull whatever I need, I know that this is very, very damaging way of thinking, especially when you are getting older and the future lifespan is shrinking. Otherwise, years ago, I quit bulshitting with TF’s smaller than the Daily, rarely I go down to four hours for a fine tunning.
Anyway, thank you so much for the incredible sessions, VP, it is a great motivation for me to go back on the field again😊
    Thanks and respect!
    Roumen

I found your channel before I even began trading so you have literally be teaching me everything from scratch, you teach differently from how I hear others trade and I love that. It allows me to have some type of structure to work towards as compared to just studying a bunch of random content and not knowing when and how to use it efficiently. Right now I am currently 18 so by Gods grace all I have is time to get good at this. Thank you VP.

EVERYBODY watching this video. There is one huge thing I’ve noticed after over a year and a half in this business and being hired by a prop firm, trading psychology is king. There’s a certain point you can refine your technical analysis too and after that it’s all marginal gains. But you can constantly keep making your trading psychology bulletproof and more bulletproof. I kind of brushed off when VP said in one of his videos that psychology/risk management is 70%. I thought that technical analysis was everything but when I got my trading psychology right and got out of my own way that’s when it all clicked. People honestly listen to all these psychology videos over and over again because they make the difference, don’t make the mistakes I made at the start by almost skipping them or not paying attention because they are what brings home the bacon.
PS VP. bought your book today can’t wait to read the shit out of it lol

I started to apply your simple but effective strategies and manage to control my trade such as equity mgt.,eliminate sucking indicators and use only those 3 indicators below and 1 moving average on chart. And now I have no losses with daily , weekly and 1 minute time frames. Fantastic!!!..Once I materialize my aim to take more than 100 pips per trade then I will increase my equity. For more than 4 months in online tutorials from different FX gurus but still not effective... At last I found your tutorials that truly changed my trading perceptions that leads me to answer those confusions ...but before your tips be comprehend it should be accompanied with constant reading. understanding and application . its tedious but once we get it its a very huge accomplishment... Once again thank you very much for sharing your talent in trading .... Kudos!!!

I used to be lazy, I would spend my time at home playing 8ball pool on my phone, I'd spend my time at college playing 8ball pool. I got really good, it felt amazing so I never stopped playing, I had never felt that about something before, I'd never put any effort into anything, thought life would come to me but one day life kicked me in the face and I realised that if I spend all my time playing pool and I become an expert at it, can make the cue ball land anywhere I need it to be for the next shot at least 85% of the time. Why can't I apply my time to something else I'm interested in? Like trading and here I am, spending most of my time learning to trade, and trying to gain as many perspectives as possible from real profitable traders.

I used to skateboard as a teenager and I have found Forex trading to be similar as far as the persistence needed . There were mostly falls and injuries before I could start successfully landing tricks. I'm not profitable yet, but I feel like I've completed my journey for who to listen to for guidance. My favorite takeaway so far is that you tell people that it's going to take their own massive investment of time to figure it out. That's how I learned to skateboard and I got pretty damn good at it, but it's literally insane how many attempts it took to become successful. I had the thought yesterday that Forex was going to be the same way. Thank you so much for giving back with you r advice and production.

One of the reasons I became a trader is that I reallized that I am not enough of a "people person" to ever compete with the Vanderchuks, Bet Davids, and Tom Biliyeus of the world. I have taken the JBM personality matirx test dozens of times and come up INTJ about half the time(just slightly) or ENTJ(just slightly) every time. I like trading because I don't have to sell myself so much to others as demonstrate my capabilities. This appeals to me. It occurred to me that trading additional lots has the same effect as opening a new store or producing a new product. I've been doing it for thirty years, and have found the information on your channel about prop trading to be inspirational.

This is NOT an excuse or apology for people's laziness. I've taught European swordsmanship for 19 years now, and had to really struggle with how to attract and retain students. I saw what we usually call laziness, across thousands of people: meet new person, they find out what I do, they say "swordfighting is awesome! I wish I could do it!" Me: "I'm standing right here, ready to go. Are you?" Crickets. Never hear from 98% of them again.
I boiled the complex, scary topic down into 4 basic skills to learn first. Made it easy with loaner gear and no-commitment trial classes. And observed the moment when That Look would wash across a new student's face, and eventually I realized I had lost them -- when it dawns on them that skillful things need effort. The tie-in to your video:
Laziness IS fear unchecked and unrealized. I think 4 Hr Work Week discussed this. Evolutionarily, risking effort on new, unknown work had to be balanced against injury, lost calories, and death. When we aren't aware of it, it's easier to shut out those perceived risks, esp since (in the US and other developed countries) we tend to not be starving, homeless, or in imminent danger of harm/death. No worse than a 3 or 4, as you said -- even with homelessness (though I know from friends that everything becomes way harder).
I had to jolly along and break it easily to new students, constructively exploit their familiarity and frequency bias, overcome their laziness/fear in a cheerful way in order to repeatedly take their money every month and give more value than most of them realized initially (but overwhelmingly have expressed their appreciation after they stick with in for a few months). But in forex, I've seen and been messaged by a lot of people who just don't get the commitment needed to pursue trading seriously. So I get that the tough love approach here will help make viewers self-select. The ones who are willing to hear "99% of people are lazy" yet persevere will have confronted that cognitive dissonance in self-examination.
And I'm in a phase where, even knowing all that, I'm still waking up with it every morning, myself. Thanks for this video!

I've been watching alot of videos on UA-cam and reading alot about FX trying to educate myself, and that's when I fell on one of your videos. I must admit I didn't like you at first. Hi VP, Thanks for the opportunity to refocus and turn my trading around, I have worked out 3 Parts of my Algorithm (1, 2, and 3) and started my journal. In 4 days of Trading (20K Demo) I have made 2% just by taking 50 Pips off the table from four trades. The second part of each trade is continuing to grow. It was easy for me to follow the other courses but also easy not follow the rules 100% hence blown accounts and frustration.

I started trying to learn forex in december 2018, i learnt the usual trendlines, S&R and the normal stuff that comes with it, i was getting annoyed trading on my phone at work and silly trades at home thinking i was working out the market structure on my laptop and wondering why i wasnt making tonnes of money in a month like these people claim you could do. When i finally realised like a lot of people this dosent happen overnight (i admit the naivety of me was off the chart here) in the last couple of weeks ive really sat down every night 5-7 hours reading, watching everything on forex and i will get there like you. Its exciting to get home and learn every night for a future profession and your videos and podcasts are insane, 2 days ago i binged 30 odd episodes of your podcast and every night watch more and more of your videos, your mannerisms and the way you explain stuff is spot on and funny. im now relearning to trade how your teaching and i hope it comes into profit your a great guy to put this content up using your own time, Thank VP

Your story resonates on just about every level VP with just one small difference, not only the intelligent one at school, was also the butt of just about everyone for being the small skinny kid who was in a wheelchair. The bullies where remorseless. No Regrets here :) It taught to stand on my own feet come hell or high water. I have done everything I ever wanted to. OK so they all failed or was blind sided by unforeseeable events. So what...no regrets is all that matters. Watch a few movies from time to time and this is a quote from Batman Begins. Father to his son..."Bruce why do we fall down"...."its so we can learn to pick ourselves up again"......That is so true IF you have THE GUTS to get up and try again. Down at the moment yet again....You know what....I'm gonna get up and go for it again because I have to. Death is the alternative and that ain't gonna happen......
Something learned long ago and built this quote from it "Don't put limits on your imagination, there is no telling..........." (at this point you have to fill in the remainder cause I ain't gonna do it for you, you have to do that part for yourself.)
By the way went and watched a Garry Vee. The one which is a compilation and guess what??? About 2/3rds of the way through he's saying and predicting the same as me. Guessing its also what you alluded to in one of your other video's ;)
Learned to walk and run again so no longer in a wheelchair :)
Edit: Forgot to say Fear...yes loads of it buckets full, shed loads, ship loads even....running scared sometimes...hell its just another hurdle to get over. Now having done it so often its pffft so what...:D
    NO fear NO Regrets

You are correct about not wanting to grow old and asking yourself what if or regretting not going after you want. My father was a professional fighter for 25 years and after that he retired working at a copper mine eventually he developed dementia and he couldn't do anything for his self, he would talk about everything in the past basically his regrets and he couldn't do anything about it anymore because it was too late. So I try to practice remembering that one day I will grow old and die and I try to visualize myself on my death bed giving my current self advice.

Hey VP I hope you are good and safe!
As I'm reading Napoleon Hill Law of success i am on the chapter of initiative and it goes like that:
It is that exceedingly rare quality that promps-nay, impels a person to do that which ought to be done without being told to do it.
But next to it is doing the right thing when you are told once.
Next is doing the right thing when necessity kick them from behind and this get indifference instead of honors and a pittance for pay.
    Thanks VP

VP, hello. I just found your podcast yesterday while I was working "play music from my android phone". It's curious someone told me on Monday that I will find a great opportunity this past Wednesday "truly I don't believe in such things", but for any reason I found your podcast and in 4 hours last night I heard about 9 audios. And believe me, you inspire me, I'm looking, pursuing that kind of life, just work 4 hours, be at home with my wife and 2 daughters, I'm a family man, immigrant in USA living in Houston. I learned FX by my self watching videos and using FXAcademy and I believe that I knew how to do it till I burn my account. I started with $500 and toke profits $6000 and lose other $4000. So my emotions about FX went down until I heard you. I want to thank you for share your knowledge and be a guide for those include my self who are looking for the right guidance. You will hear more about me. #NEVERSETTLE

Appreciate this video. I was introduced to forex trading through IMarketsLive and I think I can change the face of the organization through initiative. I started off with real money and realized I lost 600 dollars in my first month of trading. I never realized how important the fact that I didn’t cry but felt more hopeful instead. I just started watching your videos yesterday and honestly by the time I’m done I think I’m going to have a notebook filled

I am the second youngest out of five boys and was the only one to make it out of Guam, graduate from high school, join the military and now college. I was considered the smart one but I always had the worst grades. I cant wait to get things going properly here in forex.

Dang VP I thank you for these type of videos! Although I was raised with Rich Dad mentality I just never took initiative and that example of getting old and never realizing your potential just shook me and just made my a$$ get up and do stuff now. Thanks and keep this going my success to you!

Hey VP. Just found your channel today. Been binge watching your videos. Very relatable to what I have gone through, with the stuff you say about working and fearing failing and not having anything, no kids, college, being poor, etc. I grew up similarly. Working physical jobs, and still fairly young, but my back went out, and having no college, it really put me in a rough situation where I had to force myself to find a way to make money with my computer. Thats kinda what got me into FX, though I always had a desire to learn about the markets. And man, after spending years eating and breathing FX, trying to find any way to make it, it is refreshing to hear your perspective, from someone who is succeeding (it's so rare!). Hope I make it one day, as some days I feel like giving up. But I know I can't give up, as I have no where else to go but keep pushing in this direction. Failure can't be an option. Thanks for sharing your perspective, buddy.

The way he summed up his fears and always being identified as the smart kid is my entire life story. I went to college with a 3.0 continued playing soccer and softball, and joined SGA and the lunch committee. Sadly all came down to me tryna please others, wasn't feeling it, dropped out two years later. I can tell you now that college was much harder, boring, and expensive. and lets not forget to mention it doesn't even guarantee a lick of success more like a guarantee debt. so VP for the win. saving lives and negative bank accounts haha. This is without a doubt my Ticket outtttttt

I have seen a few of your video, i am starting stock market (no option) in america (Canada, no forex), looking at a lot of videos. Love the pace you take, the language you talk. Did not go through a lot of your videos, but feel sorry that you did not do a series on stock market, but lots of what you say may apply for me i think. If you think there is a site or video i should be seeing ill take your advice, if not thanks for your great work
    Thank you

For those who struggle or have no motivation. Don't worry. Motivation is fickle. It comes and goes. It is unreliable and when u count on it to complete your goals, it will likely fall short. Don't expect to be motivated everyday and get things happen. Don't count on motivation. Count on DISCIPLINE. - Jocko Willink
