One of my favourites actors. His accent, his sense of humor, all the things he has to say about his life and career and the great actor he is. I simply love him.
"I always regarded the Stage as a woman who I loved very much and treated me like dirt, and the cinema as a beautiful woman who'd do anything I said, and television was a one-night stand"
Fabulous interview! One of my favorite performances by Michael Caine is in Hurry Sundown, 1967. He was such a scoundrel in that. Very topical film with an all star cast and well known supporting cast.
The most important thing in film acting is to use your Intelligence to craft the part for the camera. That's what Michael Caine explains throughout this long interview. Great film actor.
Watching Michael talk about accents I remember Walter Mathou would say he learned himself so Americans talk from the back of their mouths and the Brits talk from the front of their mouths. Watch Peter Dinlage on GoT where he nailed it
I think why it only got 13 views is because people dont know what he is saying! It makes it even funnier!!! I wish we could claim Michael Caine as Irish but we cant....he is British....but he is a Londoner which is different so we can slightly!!! :)
Michael Caine, down to earth and honest... and absolutely phenomenal interview with Sydney Pollack, a must watch.

Pollack a very fine interviewer with Caine (who is always good value).

He is so down to earth and such a Londoner....you just have to love him!!!
Sydney Pollack could do anything. Act, direct, interview. Loved him.
