I went to the doctor because I lost my voice. I couldn't talk or communicate with anyone anymore. My family was really worried. My doctor decided he needed to operate, so he put me under anesthesia and removed my BeltBox. Now I have my life back, and I am so thankful. Don't forget to take it off when you are done using it.
I bought the beltbox after watching Tyler’s review and I must say I’m already seeing how much it helps with placement and semi occluded exercises. The sound dampening is noticeable-but not super impressive-but I’m mainly impressed with how much it helps with getting better placement and resonance. I would recommend.
Yes this is very true. I prefer using its inner soft rubber layer only, and by doing that, it actually eliminates almost all the tendencies of tension in my face and throat, the only thing to take care is my breath support.
wow great idea, unfurtonatly you still sound loud even with it. it could help me a ton if ill manage to find something better for me. does such device have a proffesional name i could search at online shops?
Try squeezing shut the two slits on the front of the belt box; it helps dampen the sound further and also feels similar to the open mouth hum (Berton Coffin’s technique for inviting health nasal resonance into your tone).
Nice that you demo the "free" technique - i.e. cupping your hands over your mouth to muffle / reduce volume. Gives a good idea of what to expect from a device like this and what the pros & cons are. And all with no purchase necessary. cheers! JB
I purchased one and it's on the way. I really hope it works. I just started with a vocal training program, and I have been covering my head with two duvet jackets (one hangs down forward and one backward), then pressing both layers on my mouth while doing the trainings. I can hardly breath, and I don't know how effective it is, and it is REALLY hot ... from your video, it seems to work quite well, I hope it works for me too, finger crossed.
I'm just being curious do you still hear the right notes when you use beltbox it's like covering your mouth and nose does it effects the sound of the real notes when you covering?
Hey Thank you! I've not personally worked with the radio voice voice before but I think a lot of what I teach does translate to having a better speaking voice too!
some One yeah it depends on the style you’re singing.. if you’re a really powerful opera singer the neighbours are still going to hear you... but it’s still useful, it reduces the volume quite a bit
@@princeza873 I've been opting for pillows, then made some with straps for the same effect in my free time one day. which I think work pretty much as well.. on the caution of not suffocating yourself. maybe ill try and make one of these myself soon to see if I can do better.
You can still hear yourself enough to know that you are on pitch, but yes is definitely muffles the sound and softens it quite a bit! It takes a little getting used to for sure but I really like it so far!
I worked on Broadway and in theatre for years and you wouldn’t catch me dead using something like this. I would be humiliated and your voice is still too loud to warmup on subway, your apartment, the bathroom, or at an audition of any kind. I don’t get it!
Viktoria Orlova I warmup without this in my room, shower, car etc. Your vocal warmup doesn’t have to be loud. This thing looks like a gimmick. You’ll use it a couple of times and then never use it again and $50.00 down the drain. I can’t imagine actually holding this on my face on a subway or God forbid at an audition or in the bathroom at an audition.......no way. Starting with humming gently in the shower and then after warmup in your apt. or room. The neighbors in my NYC apt. building used to pound on the wall and scream, “SHUT UP” when I would belt out singing. Then when I got my first starring role on Broadway they sent me letters under my door congratulating me and telling me what a beautiful voice I had (smile). That’s an actors life....lol....so this voice box thing is silly. Just my 2 cents. All the best to you.
Viktoria Orlova i also want to say that the only way I would use this is in my own apartment, home, or car. I bought my daughter one and I put it on my face and it still was loud.......a little muffled but still too loud if I was going to sing through a song full out before an audition. So I’d rather just not use it and warmup normally. Maybe there is a way you can buy it and if you don’t like it then you can return it for a refund.

Thank you so much! I just heard of this when looking up "singing in my apartment"

Where i can get this thing? is out of stock everywhere! :( :(
Sounds like this doesn't work so well with the strap if you want both hands free to play guitar. It may be hard to breath. What do you think?
Yea I personally don't use the strap because of that very reason! But other than that i really like this thing! I still use it all the time!
Lol this is the review were all looking for
Yaaaas
Finally i can game and shout at night when i get ma kills
Hahaha that is amazing!
I want to buy this just for that reason. do you recommend that it would help a gamer ?
Great stuff . I wonder why you give all these information for free. Thanks so much but any info for a radio voice?

Hi Tyler!
Do you lower your larynx while singing opera?
And do you offer classical training?
Thanks
Yes I do sing with a bit of a lowered larynx for opera for sure. Yes I do teach classical singers!
Tyler Wysong
Sounds great!
Could you please make a video where you sing a full aria? Say nessun dorma?😉
@@Islamicsongs313 😆
I'd be interested if there was a version that didn't cover the nose. I'd like to use this in vr.
Can you sleep with it on?
Are you serious?
This is basically for Bane-impersonators.
Yes! Lol.
Wear two of them
Is still not enough for me
And wenn I saw how much it costed I was shook ,for that much money for that trash that does only a little bit
I actually really like mine! But now you know it's not for you which is exactly why I made this video.
@@tylerwysong but there is no other soundproof masks!

Do not reduce too much sound
but with this thing you don't hear yourself, right?
