I wasn't going to post another one, but I just love this guy's music so much and every day, especially today, I just want it to be loved and appreciated. I hope stuff like this is interesting and satisfying for you all to hear, and I hope that one day material like this and so many other things can get the attention and recognition they really deserve.
@@mn975 I'm not greedy, it's fantastic just hearing these two I have been so grateful for. But during that period there's a lot of songs that he played live only once like 'have you seen her' for instance. If some rare song he only played live once was in this rehearsal it would be unbelievable. The released alternative early versions of songs like this is always great hear too. Can never get enough and it just blows my mind how prolific Elliott was.
This is THE find of the year so far, without a doubt! The fact that it's a realization that what we've known previously as just an instrumental was actually a song in the first place - is nothing short of staggering. Thank you so much for sharing. With the war happening in my country currently - hearing something like this really, and I cannot stress this enough - really makes my day. Thank you! :)
She’s made out of coal with a diamond soul and a pretty ring made out of gold She got pitch black hair and a vacant stare that can move anything Total control Slamming a liquid door Won’t keep away What’s already in and in the way I thought I could help Cause I know myself and I’m such a fire in the hole Made out of coal Remember the words This part has words They go like this If you want to see What you can be Just take a look It’s inside your soul It’s shimmering The pretty thing Made out of coal
I knew of the instrumental but spent the last 2 years imagining the melody to this song. I’m so happy to finally hear a recording with the melody. Not too far from what I imagined but of course amazing beyond words to hear a new full Elliott song!
There are so many recordings that keep popping up amazing I can't think of any other artist that this happens with. Look at Nirvana, Jeff Buckley. There are some demos and that's it, the record label keeps trying to rerelease them on best of albums but we have heard them all before. Not the case with Elliot there really needs to be a proper release of this stuff, or maybe it's best left just the way it is great work finding this one mate!!
Omg I cant beleive it I've listened to this about seven times now I'm seriously crying tears of joy so beautiful were so blessed such a cool picture wow thank you 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I really can't thank you enough for this. You are doing a huge service for those of us who really deeply love his music. I was just walking around feeling naturally high and just grateful to be alive when I first heard ONE song you posted last week. It's very rare for anything to feel new and have that feeling of enchantment and the process of falling in love with a song again. There will be no new songs and the well of unreleased material is now, by definition...limited. So each new song that I hear is a such a gift, and even moreso because of the finite nature. So just wanted to give you a huge thank you! Can I ask how you happened to come across these? Were you involved in recording them?
the recordings you've posted from this session (or time period) are so amazing. Please post or at least let us know what else you have, if anything. Thank you so much!
I've never lived in Boston in the 90s in rainy days but maybe I lived in Ahvaz in the 90s in one rainy day or maybe in Dezful ...while listenin to Elliott pretendin to be a Boston kid like Casey lookin out the window

love you for posting this
Thank you! I love and appreciate everything. This is like a whole new song. It's amazing hearing all these unknown gems.
We all love and appreciate these songs so much. Do you have more info on where this was recorded?
If you have anymore please share. Even in his demos he’s a genius songwriter. Absolutely bonkers

'can't remember the words
this part has words
they go like this'
BARS
There were lyrics all along!

She’s made out of coal
with a diamond soul
and a pretty ring
made out of gold
She got pitch black hair
and a vacant stare
that can move anything
Total control
Slamming a liquid door
Won’t keep away
What’s already in and in the way
I thought I could help
Cause I know myself
and I’m such a fire in the hole
Made out of coal
Remember the words
This part has words
They go like this
If you want to see
What you can be
Just take a look
It’s inside your soul
It’s shimmering
The pretty thing
Made out of coal
Now we just need "See You In Heaven"

Hey, do you have a direct download to a flac of this, or something like that? Thank you VERY much.
Bl00dy hell. I had no idea there were lyrics for this. And I don't think this is in the big archive (sickle cell) is it?
Where did you find this picture? Where can I?
Week!

I have always lived in Boston and Elliott was the sound track to many black out nights on jameson and cocaine sitting in bars alone and crying..
Wow how do you have this?!
She's so good to me, I messed up.
This is a great melody and progression but I bet he just never went back to rewrite some of lyrics for some reason.
holy shit
Week!
