Excellent information, never thought about people of different nationalities being in the governing body. That is eye opening. I hope that the older generation that devoted their lives as I did, wake up. It is not the same place. It is a new business model the old one has failed. I trusted them back then as you did. Our labor over years is null and void, new blood.
I think they will make changes a conscience matter and on line meetings, the new GB members strategically chosen for business reasons as they do vote with the odd eleven.

Imagine a b/s celebrating a birthday for example because its not against his conscience but others wouldn't because it is the gossip going around and divisions this will cause they do tend to be self righteous.
I left in 1995, after reading and applying the advice in the February 1, 1995 Watchtower, pgs 3-7, to the society itself. Since then, the more I see the changes in the organization, the more confident I am that I made the right decision. Thanks for your perspective!

@shiftyourmindset2 That's the thing, there's the passage that says you will know them by their fruit, and the fruit the society is producing suggests that they are one of the false prophets, not the faithful and discreet slave. The conclusion I ultimately came to was that it would be folly to assume that I could identify God's chosen religion, that any organization claiming to be the chosen one almost certainly was not, and that the bible doesn't actually say anything about needing an earthly organization to intercede and tell a person how to have a deep personal relationship with God.

They talk in riddles and word salads. If something doesn’t appear practical, then it is impractical (not sensible or realistic.) Why would a loving & just God require obedience & responsiveness to directions from uninspired men who have unapologetically erred dozens of times? Why/how would God give impractical, inhuman direction via uninspired men?
