Beautiful knife, just ordered my knife 10mins ago, with the curly birch handle....can't wait, your health on a new blade...have a great season......cheers...👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🍺🍺🍺
Absolutely.....the couple of no.10 I have are brilliant, scandi grinde and flat, also the Lars Falt knife, the Woods man, and the small Safari......but this is the one I have been waiting for 8yrs or so to get my hands on..... will follow up after a few outings with it.....cheers....👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🍺🍺🍺
Received my knife just now, on first impressions.....thinner handle than the no.10 and I think I will have to wet mould my sheath....not as snug a fit as I would like....but I will let you know about the field testing later.....cheers...👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🍺🍺🍺
@@johnfromscotland1050 I agree on both points. However a loose fit for the sheath actually grew on me. Easier drawing of the knife suits me well. Its mostly too heavy to fall out on its own, seeing as I dont tend to find myself upside-down a lot in the woods 🙂 Handle is a bit narrow, but thats all personal preference.. It's not the kind of knife for a multi-hour carving session anyway.
Another extremely useable knife from Casstrom, I knew there was a reason I went for the full flat grind on my No10. Not only does it complement the scandi on my Lars, I was also waiting for the No14 with the scandi. I need two No14’s however, I have got a plan. I wasn’t too impressed watching yours fall out of the sheath, nothing that can’t be fixed, but not what I would expect.
The handle looks thinner compared to other Cä knives. Does it feel ok ? And also does the a8mod holds an edge well ? How about balance,- is it blade heavy/falls forward ? Nice video 😊
Handle is indeed a bit slimmer than regular Casstrom knives, which kind of annoys me. It's a tiny bit too slim for my size 9 (EU) hands. Balance point is spot-on the finger-guard. Sheath (atleast the one that came with mine) seems a bit too roomy, knife falls out if held upside-down. Perhaps the sheath was designed with the regular Casstrom SFK (no10) handle in mind.. It seems like heavily oiled cow-leather as well so not sure if wet-forming will take.. Edge seems to hold well, but this steel is made for toughness though, not edge retention..
Så veldig bra ut sjalu igjen haha enjoy it. 😁

I'm sure you'll love it! Let me know what you think after you've taken it out for some trials.. 🙂
