- His Holiness Lokanath Swami Maharaj is one of the senior-most disciples of His Divine Grace A.C. BhaktiVedant Swami Srila Prabhupada. Born in the village of Aravade in Maharastra, he grew up in a pious Varkari family. He pursued his secondary education from Wellington College, Sangli and moved to Bombay to study Chemistry at Kirti College. In 1971, a historical event took place when His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada returned to India, for the first time with his American disciples. A huge pandal program was held at Cross Maidan. At that program, there were two great souls who got connected to this movement. And one of them was HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj, and the other was HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj. ***** A one true Guru Maharaja should posses a near perfect qualities, to be softer than a cotton and sweetest than a sugar. He should be in a constant try to be at least in Satva guna if not above them all. Unfortunately, in the whole Iskcon histroy (after Srila Prabhupada's disappearance) we're witnessing a whole bunch of people who's wearing the title ''Swami Maharaja'', but acting like simple men, with no regards of the true vedic standards, which for a holy person and a spiritual guide for a hundreds and thousands Hare Krsna devotees should be obligatory.
And not just that, but more - some of them ''Swamis'' act like a criminals, the worst of the worst. We all know about the murder case of Sulocana pr., about the known child molester Bhaktividya Purna, who while being a head of a one gurukula, he was terrorizing the little ones - boys and girls.
We also known about the recent case of the covering of the suicide (?) of one Venkatacalapati pr. in New Vrindavana and how than the government body decide to sweep under the rug the whole incident without a proper investigation.
And we also know about the one of the huge scandalous cases in the history of the rude stomping over the Prabhupada's standards that he developed according to the Holy vedic scriptures - the case of the worldwide beloved german sanyasi guru Sacinandana, who's travelling around the globe with a female companion for years. And his official statement for that behavior he describes as that ''she (his female servant/companion/girlfriend) is his spiritual soulmate, that they recognize each other from past life''. And while talking that nonsense he's paying obeisances to some mayavadi Baba, during his vyasapuja.
Oh, so many are the cases of the wrong doing ''Sannyasis'' and the common opinion is that a simple devotees can't discuss and criticize a senior devotees.
But when the wrong doing is so obvious, so ridiculous and blunt-faced that how one regular old devotee (what to say about the new ones, that came after us) could have a trust in whole Iskcon society? My opinion is that in Iskcon there are thousands of great devotees and only few true Gurus. Even my beloved Guru Maharaja himself while doing his best to lead the purest life as possible and never did anything but preaching by living under the high standarts of Srila Prabhupada (or at least never did it in plain sight as some others of his colleagues)...even He, himself i know for sure that he's a close friend with Sacinandana Baba. And also has Jayadvaita S. as his personal adviser and a close friend (who's J. is needless to mentions about his nonsense statement to cut ''Jaya Prabhupada'' out of the official mantra praying) Which means that he somehow support this outrageous behavior or at least doesn't condemn it as wrong doing. Which already diminish my trust in my Guru Maharaja. Which, relatively, diminish my trust in Iskcon.
And after all that thinking i wonder - what i am in the International Society of Krsna Consciousness? Is it joy or is it sorrow? Should i stay or should i go?
