Miracle of Sound is the name the guy who wrote the song uses professionally. He wrote and performed it for the videogame Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, and has done a number of versions with other singers since then. He commented on the video and gave it 10 alehorns out of 10, so I think it's safe to say he appreciated their take on it!
They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! That first B0 Geoff hits lasts for 15 seconds!! Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us that rap indeed belongs in acapella! Great reaction!
Miracle of Sound posted on VoicePlays' channel and gave them ten ale horns out of ten for the most inventive cover. It's so nice when J. None is home on leave to do these videos with the boys. He's back to being a featured artist. He is currently the new frontman for Navy Band Northwest!
he also had a wedding with family and friends because he got married before at the court house so he had a big wedding after he sang this Geoff posted a few pictures on his Instagram
This is from the video game " Assassin's Creed " they did a similar one called " My Mother Told Me ". This has broken many reactors . I agree they are the best 😂 their costumes and theatrics are UNMATCHED. Just when you think they can't top themselves... THEY DO !! My favorite Voice Play song is whichever one is the current one 🤯🤯. Thanks for this one Travis, you're the Best too. 🥰🥰
Now, you're not a failure, but DO MORE VOICEPLAY!! Your reaction was so much fun!! The beatboxing among other things, was amazing. I have to remind myself that J did not crash through a real creaky wooden door, that was all Layne! Also, do more Geoff Castellucci!!! He dropped Man of Constant Sorrow a week ago!
I really like that J came in partway like he was returning home to his family of VoicePlay. In My Mother Told Me Eli was a beserker. He obviously has recruited the whole group now. Even Cesar was scary. The makeup and a lot of the costuming is from MMTM. Among their tattoos are runes spelling out VoicePlay. Layne did the arrangement and Eli the amazing backgrounds. It was filmed, not green screen, but at a studio with immense (Full wall!) LED screens. Unfortunately, the guys were in leather and furs and the air-conditioning was not working.🥵
J None used to be a regular member of voiceplay, and was on leave from his current day job serving with the US Navy. Also "in town" for a wedding (his own, I believe).
That is a 15 second B0 sub harmonic from Geoff in the beginning…insane! Also, any time we get to hear Eli’s sexy af raspy rock voice, I’m in. One of my favorites from VP, love the reaction😊
Travis, we gotta get you up to date on your Norse mythology! You’re saying it correctly…val*hall*ah…is in essence “Viking heaven” or translated more precisely “hall of the fallen” kinda somber, huh. Perfect lyrics and well composed musically for the mood. Great reaction, love your excitement 🔥and appreciation. Oh, and btw, 🎉 CONGRATULATIONS on 63K!!!
I'd love to see you do more of VoicePlay as well as Geoff's solos since you are such an enthusiastic reactor. Geoff and VoicePlay are just getting better and better, fabulous work.
This is seen as a follow-up to their video My Mother Told Me. I this one it's like they're preparing for war and the possibility of dying in battle and going to a warrior's Norse heaven, Valhalla. Their attitude and almost berserker. J None, Geoff, Layne, and Eli have the same makeup/tattoos in both videos, and similar clothing, like it's changed with time. Jose Rosario Jr was the 5th person in My Mother Told Me, with Cesar taking his place in Valhalla Calling. Cesar is wearing Jose's hooded cloak. Miracle of Sound is the name of the guy who wrote and performs this song for the video game Assassins Creed. He has his own solo version of the song and video out and also a duet version featuring Peyton Parrish. There's also another Miracle of Sound version featuring Peyton Parrish & Eric Hollaway. (Talk about deep voice!) Peyton Parrish also has a solo version out. After falling in love with this song through VoicePlay's version I downloaded all five. And, oh yeah, the rap is unique to VP's version. MoS loved it and rated it 10 out of 10 raised ale horns.
The song is _inspired by_ (but not from) the video game Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Miracle of Sound has _dozens_ of songs inspired by video games, movies, and TV shows (for example; he has 6 separate songs inspired by Game of Thrones). The original version came out 2 or 3 years ago and he's made a few remixes since, the most recent being a (mostly, there were some horns) Acapella version with #PeytonParish and #ThatBassVoice which was pretty good and seems to have inspired a lot of people to try their own version. Voiceplay's is definitely one of the best takes I've heard of it. It was also my introduction to VoicePlay, but I'm definitely interested in seeing more from them.😃
:D Well, as we move toward the holiday season you have another opportunity to listen to VoicePlay. Give yourself a treat and react to their Santa Claus song.
Geoff Castellucci is a Baritone singer, however he uses subharmonics (combination of vocal fry and chest voice) to sing even lower. A true bass singer can hit C1 with chest voice, but If I'm not wrong the lowest chest note he can hit is F#1. Any note he hit below it is Subharmonics or growl notes. However I never saw someone with this level of control and speed.
I know I'm a bit late on this but... Now you're ready for the VoicePlay version of "Oogie Boogie's Song" from "A Nightmare Before Christmas". I think you'll be pleasantly stunned at the range of Geoff's voice, if you haven't heard it by now, it would be Fun to see your reaction it.
You got it right. Valhalla is the Viking version of heaven, you might say, where men who died valiently in battle go to. You hear mention of Odin's hall, Odin being one of the Nordic mythical gods. Geoff does explain how he does it in a couple of videos. And yes you should do more, they've done some amazing iconic songs lately. They are in a league of their own with their videos and should have millions of subrscribers by now.
That's a misunderstanding that was been circulating in the comments. Check out the credits under the video: "Additional Lyrics by Alfredo Austin." He also wrote the rap that J.None did in 'Superstition.'
@@missconstrues I had read that he did both raps by another commenter who also mentioned he was a member of Straight No Chaser, another one of my favorite a cappella groups. It also said that he used to be in Hyannis Sound who competed on the sing off. So he’s been in two formidable a cappella groups as well as writing.
Maybe you mixed up two bits of info. Geoff has indeed written new material lately... the bridge in Golden Hour for VP, and the bridge in Sound of Silence and Man of Constant Sorrow on his solo channel.
How you get so low? Nothing to it. If you're a bass type of voice. Singing early in the morning adds a few notes below, but that's all. I always wonder how the other guys can sing so high 😁
Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. May I suggest that you don't ware a hat. Your scalp needs to breath & wearing a hat is one of the leading causes of male pattern baldness. You don't want to undo all the progress of your hair transplant.
You need to look up the actual definition of Valhalla then watch this again to get the full understanding of the meaning behind it. Valhalla is the Viking warrior's (who dies in battle) afterlife.

Well, today I learned.
Geoff said that their throats were sore after this song. I can see why. I really love this song.
Great reaction
my throat was also sore after I tried to replicate their singing because I suck d!ck at it 👍

Somebody posted in another video (maybe even on the VP video): We always knew Geoff ain't human. Now we know: He's a frost giant. :D

you mean ac valhalla?
I know how good they are. And this one still stuns me every time.
I don't get tired of watching this. And there are so many moments of "wait that!! And that! and and that too.." great job, Travis.
I've said before Imma gonna say it again God Bless the Theater Kids of ACA !!!!!

This is amazing!! I’m such a pentatonix fan that I don’t listen to other groups as often as I should. Absolute 🔥 ❤
Voiceplay is bringing it each and every time in their new stuff.
J None used to be a regular member of voiceplay, and was on leave from his current day job serving with the US Navy. Also "in town" for a wedding (his own, I believe).

I'm obsessed with this! Love it, great reaction!
I'd love to see you do more of VoicePlay as well as Geoff's solos since you are such an enthusiastic reactor. Geoff and VoicePlay are just getting better and better, fabulous work.
Geoff is a sub harmonic bass singer who uses his entire vocal range from his tonsils, to his vocal cords, to his wind pipes and back again.
This is seen as a follow-up to their video My Mother Told Me. I this one it's like they're preparing for war and the possibility of dying in battle and going to a warrior's Norse heaven, Valhalla. Just when you didn’t think they could to Nothing Else Matters..😏‼️
Thanks for your reaction! This is from the 'Assassin's Creed' game.

they are amazing every single time think the guys had a bit too much coffee! 😄🏴❤️
Crazy good song. Great reaction Travis.
I've heard Voiceplay called the theater kids of the acapella genre. They always go a bit beyond.
"how is he human? how is that a human being?" lollllll
:D Well, as we move toward the holiday season you have another opportunity to listen to VoicePlay. Give yourself a treat and react to their Santa Claus song.
that note Geoff growls in the early on is a Bzero which is off the normal keyboard.
Valhalla is the heaven for Vikings who die in battle.
You must listen to Seven Nation Army they just did… it has the same mind blow!

My favorite song VoicePlay has done so far
He was super shocked at Geoff’s sub at the end of his first verse, but barely cared about the b0 before it
From a video game "Assassins Creed". If you will do more of VoicePlay, I will be here for it. I know a bunch of other fans will be here too.
2:30 as someone that can go that low, it’s very rare and very exhausting, it’s very hard to explain
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I understand that Geoff wrote the rap portion of this song. It really fits well, doesn't it? Thank you.

Valhalla calling is by the band miracle of sound
You have so much to catch up on. Voiceplay Seven Nation Army and Creep. And you still never did Hoist the Colours? And Gabriel Henrique on AGT!
It’s from a game called assassin’s creed Valhalla
Geoff held that low note soooooo long during the rap
the best boi band this world has to offer, until the next one.
You shall not always skip the outro :P
battle-mode: ON!

as a low bass singer its easy for me to hit the same notes at geoff.
any chance of a Hellfire reaction?
Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. May I suggest that you don't ware a hat. Your scalp needs to breath & wearing a hat is one of the leading causes of male pattern baldness. You don't want to undo all the progress of your hair transplant.
Check out the Miracle of Sound cover with Eric Holloway and Peyton Parrish; you won't regret it!
They just continue to outdo themselves
The song is from the video game Assassins Ceeed

k!
assassin creed vallaha
TV show.....Vikings: Valhalla.
Not for me Peyton Parrish the best not these!
