I love this watch. When connecting the charger I always anchor the first prong into the hole and slide it across until I find the the other anchor hole and it starts charging perfectly.
Very good overview of this TecTecTec! I have had several golf watches in the past and this one appears to be acceptable for my game!
Great review, seems like pretty solid golf gps watch!
I bought the TecTec Tec on Amazon good price and then watched your review going to compare with my Busnell range finder and compare when I can"t fine my target due to weather liked your
review. Hope to see more reviews from you Thanks, Rick
Enrique Hernandez awesome Rick, thanks for stopping by the channel
Sounds like a good watch. Good video and keep it up!
so glad I found you....so helpful...thanks
My pleasure Michael, glad to help
Nice review! I dont wear watches but I would wear this on the course. Seems more convienent then pulling out a range finder. Exact distance isn't an issue for me as long as it's within 10 yards. Charger looks a little weird. Overall it seems like it does a good job with the yardage. I have bought several non GPS watches in past and dont remember anyone them having the correct time st8 out of the box, so that was interesting.
Yes, i was shocked the time was right. It came from Amazon too, not the manufacturer directly.
The battery charge seems like an after thought in the design build, but overall it's a solid piece of tech.
Thanks for always watching / commenting, appreciate you man.
Very cool tag line, great looking piece of tectectec Tech!
Yes, It does what it says on the tin
Great video review. Thanks.
My pleasure thanks for checking it out
Great video and easily explained 🏌️
I always win these types of things! Another great video I am always looking forward to the next one!
Good luck!
Nice true tool Watch!! “Just ok is not acceptable” love their tag line!
Yes I love that line.
Amazing watch
Easy to use on the course and very accurate. The charger is very frustrating to connect and a huge negative for the product
Yes, that's a big gripe for me too if I'm being honest. Also if it's ever misplaced would be tough to to source.
Great video
thank you for the information about the distance, I am always asking the dist from other players and seeing my distance is 4 to 6 yards out from their reading.
Awesome David, happy to help. Hope it saves a few strokes :)
I love it
Just picked one up or I should say "finally" picked one up. I have wanted a GPS watch for a while now and have watched tons of reviews - including this one like five times. I really don't want one with a ton of advanced features like those that show the layout of the hole - just one that shows me the distance to pins and hazards so I can glance down and get the information I need quickly. Based on this review and others, it looks like this one does just that and does it fairly well and it was less than $100. The funky charging cable is a bit of a concern and the support seems to be a bit spotty, but for the price it is not much of a gamble. I am not a watch guy either so the size of it and the plastic band will take some getting used to for sure, but at this price point you can't expect much more. As you said it is a no frills model which I am fine with. Can't wait to give it a go. Thanks for the review brother.
Will buy one from your review
Just got mine today from Amazon...charged it and took it to the course..
1 charger is hard as hell to get right unless you have 20/20 vision. My eyes aint what they used to be and with 2 tiny pins need to line up was big negative.
2 was over cast today took over 5 minutes to find satellite. And lost it at least 8 times in 18 holes. But did come back pretty fast under 2 minutes.
3 band was very grabby on the skin. I'm sure I will buy cloth band to replace.
4 for the money it was good. I have Bushnell and very hard to use and understand. This was basic and simple for anyone..
Thanks for sharing Bud. All of your points are right on.
I purchased one of these last summer and didn't care for it. I thought it was slow to pick up a satellite, the funky charging cable and the the band was uncomfortable. I did think it was pretty accurate and easy to use. Now I am considering getting a Garmin S62 or maybe one of the lower end Garmins.
Thanks for the feedback John!
Just ordered the ULT-G based on this review. Budget friendly no glam. Keep it simple.
Awesome congrats!
Looks very cool, I’m pretty lazy when it comes to getting yardages so maybe a watch is the way forward!
Yes just a quick glance at the wrist and works well. Thanks for checking out the channel
I just ordered this watch.
Congrats, it’s a nice tool to have on course
Nice review Gabe. you're establishing some good credibility with these honest reviews. I like it! Did you mention the price for it? and what's considered entry level price for these kind of watches? I think I might have asked this already... sorry
David Branch this one can be had for right around $100
BTW, would you prefer to see more tech reviews or more golf trip vlogs or a little of both?
@@LetsPlayThru I personally enjoy the golf trips, it gets me hyped to go golfing myself. But I think a mix of both is good, too much of a good thing can become too normal and not as exciting. Hope that helps
A nice company that cares for it’s customers!
excellent review. which GPS watch do you own?
Thank you. I have a number of them as I try to review them all - including Shot Scope, SkyCaddie, Garmin, TecTecTec, etc. My Garmin S62 gets the most wrist-time by far but I like them all for different reasons.
Does this have new Zealand golf coarses
Just was gifted one im excited already own a garmin which is going to college with daughter
I still have my old garmin which works pretty good after all these years, but the only problem is that the battery doesn't last the entire round anymore and it does not tell you the distance on dog leg left or right holes....
That ebattery problem would be a big issue for sure. Well, I hope you win this one the. Would love to ship something off to Italy.
@@LetsPlayThru 😂 that would be nice. I'm not normally lucky with these things.
Just got it haven’t used yet
Just used it,it’s ok ,very light wait.Don’t even feel it’s on but I wear a very heavy wrist watch.I wish it had a running distance only to the flag when you get to the ball. Then from 125 yards out had front middle and rear because most amateurs can’t hit well enough till there.
Would love to win!!!
Looks like a good watch but sadly I have no arms :(
How do u set date
Once it hits the GPS signal you should automatically have it update
I bought this because I cant stand the Iphone so called 'FREE" apps. Ive tried a half dozen of them and they're frustrating to say the least. I just want to walk up to my ball and take a quick look at the watch and get an estimate on the distance.
Yes I found that apps tend to bounce around a whole lot. One less thing you have to worry about as you mentioned.
I wanna win this!
Glad you tested it against a range finder! That helped me asses its accuracy!
Yeah it’s important to know if it’s working right
Need to replace my 12 year old garmin
If you like Garmins they have new products out now. Just did a video on them: ua-cam.com/video/rPHQ2Jn1RVs/v-deo.html
It would be nice if you put a little effort into really determining the accuracy. I would consider 5 yards to be very inaccurate. You should have someone stand in the true center of the green and measure that distance to compare with the watch. A hole may be noted as center of the green but that can vary a lot especially for a large green. If you want me to watch your reviews in the future, try to at least be a little scientific about the most important part of a golf watch. You also didn’t even mention another important part of a watch. Is it visible in sunlight. It seems to be but you could have at least discussed it.
