My husband has dementia and we are here at home trying to get by like everyone else. Each day I look for and watch your vidio for a project. I look forward to it each day. It is a bright spot. I think i start typing before i watch the whole video! you are clearly putting a piece of cardstock on the back of the black one, and cutting around the edge, what a dummy i am, but mine did turn out really pretty and everyone at work loves them. made 3 strings of little ones and about 14 big ones! thank you so much again, always wonderful ideas from you!

Love these ideas Sherry! I have one small butterfly punch, but when I want larger ones, love this idea of making my own on printed paper! I love this butterfly with the black on it and love the idea of putting them on the wall. I think they would also be cute in a picture frame too, without the glass of course, fluttering around inside the frame! Wonderful ideas!

Hello Sherry, I've been watching your videos since the beginning, posting comments every so often. This last week I have not been watching. Sadly, my sister in law, passed away from Covid 19, without family members to be near her side. She loved nature and especially butterflies. I will now be making these beautiful butterflies for her memorial service , in the summer once we are able to have one. Thank you for all you are doing to help us get thru this ordeal.

The moment to be with our loved one, touch them, hold their hand and help them transition; as well as the opportunity to say our goodbyes. Thank you for sharing what you did with them... and also for sharing the link to the site you got the designs from. - I was going to use my Cricut to make sheets of butterflies, but when I began to, the whole process was too much for me and I decided to go back to the idea of printing designs onto my papers. I think I can use the ordinary papers I have and if I need them stiffer, I should be able to print to the cardstock, then glue the paper to the cardstock before I cut the design out. Pretty sure that will work. :)

I just love your upbeat inspiring and, dare I say it, stinkin cute projects! I’m looking to get a new printer and want one that will print on card stock and thicker papers so my question is what type of printer do you use? Thanks for all you do!
PS did you cut out with a cutter and layer the bottom colored layer to the black outline cut one? Or one printed piece of paper that you then cut out? If so you must have built the layers in photoshop or silhouette and then printed them. just wondering, really pretty backgrounds .
Hi Cathy, I found the digital butterfly image online,simply cut down a piece of decorative paper to 8 1/2x11 and ran it through my printer to print the image. The images link is posted in the description box. No photoshop layering at all...super simple process😀
