I still remember the first time I heard this song. I was an angry, sad 13-year-old who felt unloved and unwanted. I only listened to angry music, and vehemently rejected love songs because I felt no one would ever love me. The moment I heard this song, it felt like someone was reaching right into my soul and telling me that they understood, and that it was going to be OK. I didn’t know how to process the feeling at all, so I panicked and switched my CD player off. Flash forward 15+ years and I regularly play this on my piano. Thanks, NIN, for always being there.
This my friends are real talented artists...No auto tune no glitzy over the top half naked dancers no swinging around on ropes...just pure energy that grabs your senses and gets your heart to thumping and takes on their journey WOW
I could watch this over and over (well, I do) ... I love how Trent has those little idiotricities like breathing heavily while whispering and the start/stop groans...they're such small performance pieces that make such a huge difference in ensuring the mood of the song is perfect. That makes them a must-see band, for sure :)
I remember when The Fragile first came out. I was a teen and couldn't afford it but one of my friends did buy it and I talked him in to letting me borrow it, and I out it in one of those old boomboxes and recorded it to tape. The thing that blew me away most of all being a beginning guitar player was the way the guitar parts were heavy but perfectly fit. It still amazes me to hear it and it definitely shaped my playing style.
This one means more to me than any other! His music kept me from falling apart, through unspeakable pain and darkness! Always a fan, but just didn't really get it until it happened to me. My only advice is to steer clear of anyone who hates Trent's music!!! the truth hurts those who hide behind masks!
I think thats why most fans love his music, because they have been through deep shit. Those who hate don't do so out of pure hatred but rather because they probably don't understand it. My fav song off this album is The Great Below and the precursor and result of song
This song means so much to me because it is about helping somebody else that you care about even if you are dealing with your own shit. About putting somebody you love before yourself. This is a love song.
NIN has been off my radar for some time. But this incredible performance reminds me of how stunningly creative Reznor was/is. I saw NIN here in Cleveland 3-4 times back in the day. I'm glad I was on the planet at the same time as Trent Reznor. I thank him for all the inspiration and wish him well.
the most powerfully passionate musician i have ever loved..since i was 17 years old and first heard closer on the radio..die hard fan ever since! trent reznor who is nine inch nails, is truly, something else.

if anyone wants to know what perfect means, just watch this epic performance. there isn't anyone in the music business that can compare to trent reznors energy and passion he puts forth in every show. they should get a collection of these on stage performances and release them on blu ray.
Wow, this was really great. I'd strayed frm listening 2 any NIN 4 quite awhile, and this is my very first time seeing it. The Fragile was always my favorite, so I truely enjoyed it!!
I love this piece of work, that was not a success and yet it had many of his best compositions. I won't let you fall apart...I think of this every time I picture my child! Love so many of the songs here.
So very moved by this song, every time its performed i'm damn near teary eyed. Also very glad that i got to see them perform this song before NIN was 'shelved live' like is done now... i bet he'll come back to tour eventually though.
The Fragile = Best Album of the 90s. Period.
Wrong best álbum ever
Your comment doesn't have anywhere near as many likes as it deserves.
@Tasha Vladimiroff Eh - Mellon Collie is #1. Top five though.
Aged like fine wine, still as innovative and relevant is today, 21 years later 🙌🏾
With aenima and murder ballads for sure !
That magical moment, when you listen to your favorite band, and they sing about your thoughts and feelings

I was in that crowd and still get chills when I think of this. Best few hours of my life.

This song continues to save my life. Thank you Trent, for understanding my deepest scars when no one else did. Because you’ve been there too♥️
I can see why. It's definitely something I can relate to. The lyrics are so meaningful.
feelings are part of the human experience, the depth of which only a true artist dares into the Abyss…
This is the kind of powerful song that goes right through you. It is electric. I can't imagine what it would be like to experience this live.

This camera operator is BRILLIANT!
@3:22 when the drummer unleashes hell gives me ASMR. The last chorus is one for the history books here
My fav thing in this video too.
And Trent looks at him like “Ya!”
Agreed. Man that last chorus gives me chills
Love the keyboard organ sound at the end of the song... just epic...
Front row, centre. Amazing performance. The emotion that Reznor puts into his music is incredible. I will remember this concert for a very long time.
Yes, all Nin ( especially live)stuff is badass!
This song bristles my skin.
nine inch nails just keeps getting better and better
This is possibly my favorite song of all time! Great job Trent, every time I went to see you live it was just as good if not better than the last!
Обожаю эту песню, в особо трудные времена, эта песня служила мне неким ориентиром к лучшему в моменты печали...
the most powerfully passionate musician i have ever loved..since i was 17 years old and first heard closer on the radio..die hard fan ever since! trent reznor who is nine inch nails, is truly, something else.
Best. F*cking. Song. Ever!
Yes.
I think I would've died if I was there; this is one of my favourite songs.
WORDS FAIL ME. I'm captivated...I haven't really listened to NIN in so long. I think I'm falling in love with them again.
[Verse 1]
She shines in a world full of ugliness
She matters when everything is meaningless
Fragile, she doesn't see her beauty
She tries to get away
Sometimes it's just that nothing seems worth saving
I can't watch her slip away
[Chorus]
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
[Verse 2]
She reads the minds of all the people as they pass her by
Hoping someone can see
If I could fix myself I'd--
But it's too late for me
[Chorus]
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
I won't let you fall apart
[Bridge]
We'll find the perfect place to go where we can run and hide
I'll build a wall and we can keep them on the other side
...but they keep waiting
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
...and picking...
[Outro]
It's something I have to do
(I won't let you fall apart)
I was there, too
(I won't let you fall apart)
Before everything else
(I won't let you fall apart)
I was like you
(I won't let you fall apart)
El trabajo de cámara es impresionante
His music will remain forever and thats what matters. Life goes on and other gifted music geniuses will come after him.

every time i hear this song, it puts me in an awesome mood. NIN for life!
Just saw them last night. When he closed the show with Hurt, there were grown men standing there fucking crying.
Trent is electric.
God damn, NiN's songs are even better live than Trent's album versions are. There's not many bands I can say that about
The droning wails of Robin's guitar at the beginning of this are so meta.
I come back and watch this a lot because I love it more than the album version. It still gives me goose bumps...
this particular performance. the Beauty and the force behind it shakes me at a fundamental level. NIN 4 Life
Where, where has all the good music like this gone ! :(

Wow, this was really great. I'd strayed frm listening 2 any NIN 4 quite awhile, and this is my very first time seeing it. The Fragile was always my favorite, so I truely enjoyed it!!
