You can hold the fly wheel with a screw driver. You have to remove some of the shroud around the engine. Then you can remove the PTU bolt. Thanks for the video!
Just wanted to say thank you. Been putting this off, the only thing I am an expert at most days. Significantly more confidence now. Pain to make these videos and I really appreciate it.
Thanks for this video, I used it to change the drive belt on my SLTX 1054. Absolute mongrel of a job but made much easier by this video, cheers from Australia
You don't have to lift the engine. That drive pulley should slide right off or a little tappy tap tap should do the trick. Unfortunately I have tore my 1054 down several times completely. If you ever need any tips hit me up. I'm about to start a turbo install soon.
I put that bitch on its side after I took off hood, deck and battery. Fortunately, I didn’t have to pull off motor mounts after I took off pto. My pulley slid off so I popped on belt, loosen pulleys as I weaved the belt through. I didn’t have to fight the back pulley. I had 3 little bolts on fan which the old belt busted off. I’m guessing my mower is a little younger. You probably know on the deck blade removal a pipe wrench wedged to wall and a wrench is easier but I’m guessing you didn’t want to walk back to find it. But I see you gotter done.

I found your video very helpful. I made some mistakes but was able to get the job down.
Glad it helped!
Thank you for the video I needed it
Great video, had all the best details
Thanks for the video. Good job!
Thx. Needed this! Trying it now
Why does your Sltx only have 2 blades? Mine has 3 , next time use an impact to remove your blades!
Thanks for the video!
What about the drive pulley on the shaft how you take that off
I didn't. No need. I lifted the engine up to free belt.

I couldn't pull the pulley off, but my mower is pretty rusty. I'll pin this to the top in case others can get theirs off and save some time. Thanks!
@@sunnyhillfarm Rust sucks. LOL

Thanks for the video. This looks absolutely horrible. I am not looking forward to doing this 😅
Took to much of the mower to get the belt on have the grass before you get done
I wanted to see how the belt goes back on the deck wow thanks for nothing
Title reads drive belt replacement
@@sunnyhillfarm yeah I saw that thanks...I was hoping it all was there but that is okay.
