So agree. Thanks for commenting
Confirm mine was 17€ , it was 4 years ago, WORTH IT
I've just bought 2 of those and I live in the UK. They are about 27.20 Canadian dollars each so about £16.00. you can't complain as the basic knives are around the £8-10 mark. For the extra features it's a win as this kind of knife is brilliant for throwing into a pack, toolbox or back of a car.
Totally agree. Thanks for commenting
Great review Mark. Thanks for the kind words! Cheers, Gary
Hi Gary. Glad you liked the video. Thank you again for your support
I bought one of these a few years ago and have never loved a knife more ( modified the sheath though,;cut the top off the plastic bit and sowed the remainder to the nylon loop). Sold my more premium knives (fallkniven, Peltonen and terävä) and kept this, it suits me more. A very underrated performer in the bushcraft world and a knife you could bet your life on in a pinch. I know SK5 steel is considered cheap but it's so easy to sharpen and so tough, I just can't find fault it.
Best comment yet. Thanks for commenting
It is a surprisingly good knife! I used stones to put a true Scandinavian grind edge on it then stropped a convex secondary bevel.... lightsaber sharp. Probably my favorite wood carver and despite the scandi edge, I wonder how it would do field dressing a deer.... 🤔
HULTAFORS makes a lot of awesome tools 👍🏻
I agree. Thanks for commenting
You also have the Hultafors Ok1, it's like the GK heavy duty but for outdoor use. Hultafors makes great knives, the sheath and nylon belt loop make the hultafors OK outdoor knives excellent choices! Thank you for the review.
Most welcome. Thanks for commenting
it's awesome. 15 euros (Netherlands), and nearly indestructible. it is Absurdly strong.
Right on. Hard to beat. Thanks for commenting
Looks to be another great budget friendly option. Thanks for sharing it Mark.
Most welcome. Thanks for commenting Steve
Wonderful review! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for commenting
Check out the Hultafors 380110 OK1 Outdoor Knife , it's the OK4 blade ,with the HD handle.
Great suggestion. Thanks for commenting
Thanks for the review, Mark! I've got (as one reactor calls them) "hobbit hands", so handle size wouldn't be a problem for me on any of the knives. This one's price is more back to normal on Amazon in the US, considerably less than the Canadian price - just under $30 USD, so about 1.5 times the price of the GK for me. It might make a good backup, but for now I'll be sticking with my gifted Mora Kansbol.
Kansbol is a great knife. My review is coming. Thanks for commenting
That’s one of my favorites. I had to sharpen it. The edge was easy to sharpen and holds its sharpness very well.
I like the size a lot. It’s also the only knife that claims ok to baton ( even though I don’t find a need to baton) I paid $25 in US
Great video as always
Great buy for sure. Thanks for commenting
Got the same issue with my larger hands and the GK does fit the hands better. I really like the Mora Kansbol on food for its thinner blade.
I agree. My review of the Kansbol is coming soon. Thanks for commenting
Looks amazing my friend thanks for share your video.
Im gonna try to find it.
🙏
Great piece of kit. Thanks for commenting
Estupendo vídeo. Un saludo desde Barcelona ( Spain)

Hey Mark, Love your product reviews but it would be nice if you occasionally did a "camp" video with set-up, products used, bushcraft tips, etc. Thanks!
I am away camping as i write this. More about down time for us. I do plan to start recording overnight videos. Thanks for commenting
My traditional bushcraft knives are the Mora bushcraft/companion (here in Europe about 50/22 EUR) but then I found the cheaper Hultafors`s and tried them (GK/OK4= 10/26 EUR) with good results! Now my option for batoning and heavier tasks is the GK (to spare my more expensive Mora), and for the other Tasks I use the Mora companion or the Hultafors OK4, which work very well at a very reasonable cost-benefit rate (I do not see the point to spend more) Besides these knives I usually carry my machete for the big tasks and some Swiss army knife/Opinel for the finer tasks and food prep. I love Opinel for its simplicity! and lately I found a good alternative in the Portuguese Jose Da Costa folding knives (Merendeira model), which are also very good looking!
I will look at the Jose Da Costa knives. Thanks for commenting
The GK in the 'bushcraft' edition is the OK1. What you have is the OK4. The GK has been the knife in use for the Bushcraft Association since 2011. I agree the handle of the GK can be bulky for small hands where the handle of the HVK and RFR can be just a bit small for extra large hands. These rubber overmold handles do provide some extra grip that I don't need but are much harden to clean. So to me these OK knives are not worth the extra money but that's personal.

Great Performance From This Blade, Thanks For Sharing This Demo Mark ! ATB T God Bless
Thanks, you too!
Thanks again, Mark.
Most welcome. Thanks for commenting
Great review Mark. These are definitely another budget choice to compete with Mora. Cheers my friend!
It really is! Thanks for commenting
Very cool knife and thanks for sharing. I don't own any Hultafors knives, but I have several Morakniv's though. I guess I'm going to have to get me one to try out. 👍Take good care and Cheers!
Great addition to your collection. Thanks for commenting
Nice video, the OK4 here in Sweden goes for about 21 CAD...a really good knife for that price.
I agree. Thanks for commenting
There's also the anniversary edition (the 325, alternatively as the OKW), with hickory handle & leather sheath. If you have a thick wallet; check out either the Rokka Korpisoturi or one of the MoraKniv Ash knives.
The OKW sounds nice. I will look for it. I hope to get a Rokka to test. Thanks for commenting
I got one😁😉.
Thanks for the review.
Most welcome. Thanks for commenting
I just decided to get the GK. Sharpen the spine; wrap the handle and force a vinegar patina.
Good choice. Thanks for commenting
Good video 😎👍🍀🔥… I have the OK1 … it’s the same blade like OK4 but the grip is bigger … try this 😜👍🍀🔥
I looked at the OK1 but noted it did not have the rubber overmold lime the OK4 and I already have the GK. Thanks for commenting
You hit the nail on the head, I have smaller hands so the hds handles swamp my hand but the OK4 is just about perfect, I got mine for £15 (30 Loonies) a few years ago which is not a bad price. The paint doesn't flake off the blade over time but does wear down. It's a very reliable knife to stick in a pack, it will do most jobs and won't break the bank if it goes walkabout. If I was ultra fussy the sheath was made of thinner plastic than the dedicated craftsmans knives, why? Maybe they've put this right by now?
Right on. Thanks for commenting
Good review Mark , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
Thanks, you too!
Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting
G'day Mark, I didn't realise they had as many models, thanks for showing them mate.
No stainless variants ?
Well at least there is an option for a larger belt, though I like the reverse clip idea, just longer.
A bit extra tang never hurts, but not sure why one would want a ruler on ones blade.
I'm with ya, I like the handle material, though whack it on the larger model. Cheers Duke.
Hi Duke. Hultafors has stainless blades in so e of their work knives but not this model. Thanks for commenting
Great review.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting
Nice sharing 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for commenting
The coating has to come off to grind the micro bevel out to get max sharpness.
Unfortunately true. I will leave the micro bevel at least for now. Thanks for commenting
Hi mate, the knife you're looking for is the OK1
Right on. This blade with the bigger handle. Thanks for commenting
@@MarkYoungBushcraft Indeed, but you still need to slap on the rubber tape for extra grip. Cheers
@@axistec
Not if he’ll choose the Hultafors 4S Outdoor Knife; zero grip deficits, there.
@@gingerhansen1902 never heard of that one. Is it a new model? They did release a limited edition of the OK4 with wood handle and leather sheath (OKW model), but it's hard to get one as it sold out like hot cakes.
18:32 The OK 4S. What you’re asking for is the Hultafors OK 4S Outdoor Knife.
Was not aware of that knife. Thanks for commenting
@@MarkYoungBushcraft
Coming soon (or, eventually) to North America; but, being an influential Canadian influencer (with XL hands😉), you might could contact Hultafors, and respectfully request an advance sample, for test-&-review.👍🏻
@@gingerhansen1902
You couldn't be righter, @gingerhansen , the OK 4S is the fulfillment of his fantasies.
However, why wait on the North American market to play catch-up, or, go cap-in-hand to Hultafors, when he could just make friends with some online European bushcrafting forumites and arrange to do a purchase and delivery?
I happen to know that the Hultafors OK 4S is broadly available in (at least) Poland and Italy. Everywhere Hultafors knives are sold, over there, the market is fully infused and the OK 4S easily and broadly available.
Good looking knife, I like the size of the blade, nice color. Have you seen the Opinel picnic? It’s a fork and spoon that attaches to the number 8 knife.
I have seen it but don't own it. I will take a look for it. Thanks for commenting
there is slso a version of both the Craftsman orange (carbon) and blue (stainless) with that overwrap handle better for smaller hands
Yes, i reviewed the orange but not the blue. Thanks for commenting
Still a really reasonably priced knife. Cheap actually. I’m surprised a company that makes such expensive stuff has such a budget line.
Competition for Mora working knives I think. Thanks for commenting Jim

Nice review, thank you. That shirt! Looks like something I've been looking for. Who makes it please?👍
Glad you liked the video. The shirt is made by Fjallraven. I found mine in a thrift store. Thanks for commenting

Hi Mark,
Nice review of a nice knife.
However, how does it stack up against the more robust bushcraft knives? Also, like a Mora, it has a stick tang (a serious No-No to the bushcraft Gurus), and no lanyard hole. Also it doesn't seem to be a Scandi grind! Ouch. But, as you demonstrated, the knife is perfectly capable of doing the lighter varieties of bushcraft tasks or work, using appropriate material and not getting overly ambitious.
Now, I have a challenge for you!
Victorinox has just launched a new dedicated bushcraft fixed blade knife series called the Venture, which I think is a VERY interesting newcomer to the genre! It is a knife which emerged from the skill and experience of Felix Immler (ref) and he had a large input into the various new design features incorporated in the design and production of this knife.
Without going into the details, my challenge to you is to get hold of one and do an in-depth test and review of this new bushcraft knife.
I'd be fascinated to hear what you think!
No need to challenge me. I am already looking to get the new Victorinox. In my opinion, what most "Bushcraft Gurus" are describing is a survival knife, not a bushcraft knife. Thanks for commenting
@@MarkYoungBushcraft 😄
Good man! Now I look forward to hearing what you have to say about it. However, I hear it is already sold out in Switzerland! So, you might have to be patient!
Cheers and good luck!
Too bad about the price, it's ~USD20 in Sweden (w/o the ferro rod).
And also, there are the OK1: same blade and the GK-handle (it's been around since 2016...)
Yes, the price is high here but still a good bargain as it lower than most other knives. Thanks for commenting
You would like the OK1 better than the OK4
For me, the OK4 because of the larger grip. Thanks for commenting
@@MarkYoungBushcraft The OK1 has the larger grip. It has the same handle as the GK.
Better value and same functionality with the GK. Just my 2 cents.
I agree. Thanks for commenting
What can I do ... I'm a knife man... 🤗❣️
Guess I am as well. Thanks for commenting
Looks like a rebranded Mora.
Very similar but also different. Thanks for commenting
Hultafors is a swedish competetoe to swdish Mora. Different companies trying to beat each other.
