@@liz.j6822 Thank you. I will put her on the list. I am never sure exactly when I will be inspired to go heavy into the research; she is such an interesting person and will go well with Peggy Guggenheim.
I have almost fgot through all of your docos and honestly although I am 55 I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about these past women and just how much they strived to change the world and their views. You have a gift for doing these short docos and I so hope to see many many more thankyou
I am spellbound watching and learning about these absolutely strong women and how much they gave us to change everything they stood for. This lady has a great way of telling each story in such a kind way especially Amy Winehouse. Not any other thing Ive watched on her was ever focused on her attributes and was never done with such kindness
First of all I love your clear and pleasant voice. The moment you start to speak, you have me hooked to the story that will follow. What an incredible woman Diana Cooper; she lived the life she was happy with. A very caring woman and beautiful. I cringed at the "war segment" but she learned and went along. She loved Duffy she loved the theater, unlike many that cannot have both worlds, Diana found the time. I thought maybe Duffy just used her, but in the end, I concluded; they were made for each other 💘💘💘 Loved it ❤
Yes, despite his philandering as you say, they seemed one of the happiest couples in that period. I am doing a video on Mrs. Sweeney at the moment, and it is almost the opposite. Heartbreaking.
I really enjoy your work. The way you present the biographies is clean and concise and covers the highlights and achievements in a way that dignifies your subjects without denying their human frailties and failings. It makes me realize we all have a life story, but every life is complex and can never be fully understood. I think you have a real gift and hope you keep producing these well done bios! 👍 👏
Thank you so much, it is great to read such kind words. It is a pleasure to be able to tell these people's stories; and a great compliment that you feel I do it fairly.
I love this story and bringing Diana to life. I really enjoy the narratives voice and the way the story is told. Thank God for strong women like Diana and the example they continue to be! Thank you!!
Ahhh so nice to hear her story again Thankyou. I lived opposite her in little V3nice in the late 70s. And in the 80 s her son John julius Norwich was a wonderful author and speaker 🙏💐
It was really lovely and so many pix of her too ,beautiful, she had a handful with Duff !!! Yes his volumes on Byzantium were amazing and his lectures were really phenomenal I enjoy your videos very much thankyou . I’ll watch Josephine later she had such an amazing life didn’t she. Can’t wait to find out the couple then I will kick myself 😂
Her son became a great historian. Appeared on several television programs and wrote some truly amazing books on history. Sadly, he passed away in 2018.
Although I love to drift off to sleep to your wonderful bios/stories OR frustratingly stay awake minute by dread filled minute due to insomnia....... I'd like you to know I start them right over when I finally wake for my morning hike with 🐺 then breakfast and finally off to do a bit of work or gardening. 😊 Always look forward to the next installment. Thank you so much, you have a gift and a perfect voice for this genre!! 😊
Yes. I often think of her and her contemporaries Nancy Cunard , Edwina , and Margaret Sweeney and look at the course she navigated. Her mother genuinely wanted her to marry the prince of Wales, and she had a chance really. But she had zero interest in him. She was always her own person. I deeply admire her
What a cool lady, with her looks and charm she could have easily just gone along with a socialite’s life but instead chose an active, varied, and dutiful path. Stunning, talented, and able. Again, you’ve selected an outstanding woman to highlight…thank you
I loved your presentation of the story ,your voice is soothing and well suited to narration , it is such a colourful story of a vibrant woman of her time I wonder how society ladies seemed to sail close to drug and alcohol use but mange to avoid addiction , I imagine it is wealth and connections that act as a safety net . To the destructive effects or pehaps there is more to the story . I enjoyed watching and I hope to watch more of the collection many thanks .
Thank you, this week will be a different royal, bur in a few weeks we will look at one of Diana's Cooper's contemporaries, the Duchess of Argyle; who went a very different route. Hope you enjoy it.
An exceptional woman exceptionally well told by our hostess Viscountess MythicMindScape of Elsinore!! I fell like such a coward in comparison to Lady Diana, and she inspires me to stand taller. I am in the sunset of my life but it is never too late to learn a thing or two.
😂 Thank you for such kind words. I love telling these stories especially the longer more inspirational ones, or perhaps like this coming Saturday's video a woman who has a terrible reputation in modern times, though it is entirely unfounded. They inspire me too.
I thought the name of her son sounded familiar. John Julius Norwich was a historian who wrote books about the Byzantine Empire, Venice, and Norman Sicily. He also worked in TV and radio.
Erb's palsy typically results from damage to the brachial plexus nerves, which can cause weakness or paralysis in the arm. Lady Diana's bout with this condition was quite severe and left her close to death at one point when she was around ten years old
It is Belvoir -(Beautiful).. the Duke & Duchess of Rutland found many people found that difficult to pronounce so the pronunciation of it to make things easier beevor was settled on
I know :) Check my pinned comment. Sorry. We are always learning. Hope the mistake didn't take away from your enjoyment. Yes indeed. I will be releasing a video on Saturday about one of her contemporaries , the woman Duff perhaps wanted to leave her for. Though the woman was not in love with Duff. ...On the positive side Diana And Duff's son grew up to be a lecturer and a great historian.

What l respect most about her is that even though her husband a chronic philanderer, she kept it clean.
What on earth did she see in him??
@@pamelacorbett8774 l can't see it either. Maybe you just had to be there.
Was she related to Diana Spencer? I see the physical and personality similarities
Very distantly ; Both Diana Manners and Diana Spencer are descendants of the Cavendish family, making them distant cousins through this lineage.
