  • Neil deGrasse Tyson Explores Revolutionary Findings of the James Webb Telescope
    Join renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on a captivating journey through the universe, guided by the remarkable observations of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). In this compelling video, Tyson unveils the telescope's groundbreaking achievements, from its detailed infrared imagery to the discovery of ancient galaxies and the furthest known supermassive black hole.
    With the JWST, we're not just observing distant galaxies; we're rewriting the story of the cosmos. Tyson guides us through these transformative findings, highlighting how they challenge and potentially reshape our theories about the early universe. Experience the excitement as he discusses the possibilities of uncovering cosmic blueprints and secrets of universe formation.
    As Tyson eloquently explains, the JWST is more than just a telescope; it's a portal to understanding our universe's past and future. From its strategic placement at the second Lagrange point to its advanced infrared capabilities, every aspect of the JWST is designed to expand our cosmic horizons. Witness how this incredible tool is ushering in a new era of cosmic discovery, potentially holding the answers to long-standing mysteries like the origin of the universe and the Big Bang theory.
    Stay tuned as Tyson reveals how the JWST's observations could reconcile current cosmological models and theoretical predictions, offering a fresh perspective on the universe's rate of expansion and the Hubble constant conundrum. Be ready to have your view of the cosmos transformed!

    Utterly brilliant and informative. When I was a boy, a local telescope at Jodrell Bank was an absolute wonder to me - how far space science has advanced since then. The James Webb is profoundly changing, and challenging a raft of cosmic theories, and as this presentation says, it is only just getting started :)
    Thank you so much for uploading this !!!

    duran9664. Never heard of time accelerating the expansion of the Universe or even time ITSELF speeding up, or slowing down for that matter. I do know SPEED affects time ie. something travelling at significant speeds close to light speed, in accordance with relativity ie. time dilation. Also, gravity affects time. Perhaps you could direct me to some resources/references which discuss the phenomena you've raised.

    Great video, please explain to us why gravity manifests so differently in the ring of Saturn and Urano one is horizontal the other is vertical, which is troblesome?

    • @istantinoplebullconsta642
      @istantinoplebullconsta642 4 місяці тому

      @forcebewhithyou94, Gravity is manifested the same for both planets and their rings. For Uranus, the rings orbit vertically to the plane of our solar system bc Uranus rotates vertically (on its side, "tilted") to the plane of our solar system. Apparently, early in the formation of our solar system, Uranus was hit by something twice as big as Earth, and that collision tilted the axis of rotation of Uranus forever.

    ♦️ FACT♦️
    The expansion of the universe is accelerating due to TIME🤏 when time passes faster, the expansion of the universe accelerates. In early dense universe, time should have been much slower 🤏

    jatyga3905 exactly. I ponder those sorts of questions often. Another one is what is energy? I have no definitive answers thus far. Einstein spoke of the FABRIC of space. I understand that the VACCUUM of space is something like just ONE atom of hydrogen per cubic metre. So, if space is essentially nothing ( and also what is nothing? ), then how is it affected by gravity, in accordance with relativity.

    • @violet4481

      I get what your point is, I wont say youre wrong but, think about it this way. If we didnt study space, we wouldnt understand how the moon affects the tides on Earth, we wouldn't be able to learn of potential threats from asteroids among other things. Studying more of space helps us make sense of things here on Earth, we wouldnt have known the earth is round for sure(well we kinda could based on the math) if we didnt know what it looks like from space. We could totally spend a bunch of money for cancer patients and try to help poverty, and there are many people doing that and hopefully more people do as well, but there are far too many factors at play on Earth that are preventing us from making such advancements here. Some people are still not done fighting over a damn piece of land, some minerals, etc. Dont we all wish the money spent on stupid wars could be spent on the things that actually matter like curing disease and preventing poverty, but unfortunately it isnt that easy. At least space people are spending the money on acquiring knowledge.

      Question: Are you a moonlanding denier? Are you a flat earther? A religious person who thinks science is a waste of time or even evil? Because it strikes me strange you would watch a scientific video just to leave a comment like this? It strikes me as a political statement. All science is tied together. We are made of star stuff. Lots and lots of technology has been invited by exploring space and the study of astrophysics. Some of those inventions could well be used in the cure of cancer.

      @@jamesross3939 😂 yes I believe the moon landing is fake. That literally why you don’t see any stars in the back or they never look around or up or even point the camera back to earth. But im complex. On the contrary I love science beyond and my most fascination is of black holes, quantum physics, Einstein theory of relativity and the edge of the universe where there are no stars. I contemplated taking my own life…. Long story short, I didn’t wanna die until I seen the James Webb space telescope show me the first light and farthest galaxy we can see. It’s just sometime I’m frustrated by priorities as a human race. I believe differently from everyone I know. I believe in a higher power and science simultaneously. I love more than I hate. As I mentioned of black hole I think of the darkness in human heart and just like a black we never see it until it absorbs life and just a monster lurking in darkness. Metaphorically speaking of course.
      I’m just a curious person who wonders why. That’s all. I hope you are bless a thanks for conversing with me….. well texting 😂
