Hi, I use whole milk. When I make my glaze, I often do it long before I need to use it. I put plastic over the glaze so it doesn't get hard. It can keep in the fridge for several days as long as it is wrapped or in an airtight container. When you need to use the glaze, heat it very carefully in the microwave, 5-10 seconds at a time. When the glaze has the consistency you want, dip your Donuts. If the glaze gets cold while dipping, you can heat it again🤗🥰

Tried making your donuts Suzanne.. One question.. When I add the butter into the dough the whole thing becomes coated in butter.. An oily mess.. It doesn't look dry like your dough..
