Does Serato Pro have the same latency* problem like Rekordbox / Traktor Scratch Pro with Pioneer CDJ900 in HID mode ?
*You can feel the latency problem while scratching and the ''pointer'' in jog wheel looks laggy aswell.
Don’t forget to do a firmware update on the cdjs and mixer and have the most updated version of Serato running on your computer. That’s YUUUUGE!

Hello guys I just bought the djm S3 and I updated my Serato DJ software to the latest 2.0 version and I noticed that when I trigger the sound effects on my laptop keyboard it doesn't work anymore I really like that feature where on my laptop to trigger the sound effects can you guys please fix that.

Where can I find the blue USB B 2.0 cables? I can only find the 3.0 versions
The info on the serato website says to use an externally powered USB hub in order to do this yet you guys have gone to the effort of having a serato branded USB hub without external power?
Can I do this without the DVS software licence? I have a Serato DJ Pro licence?
I have the same product and I also use Serato
HID mode does not require a DVS license in order to be utilised :)

Hands down best way to use cdjs with Serato.
I would say it's one of the WORSE WAYS to use CDJs!!! You lose alot of cool functions and features, and most importantly, sound quality.
@@djmannyleon9204 Ehich feature exatly do you loose? When using Serato you can use pretty much all features on the CDJ (except the big waveform which you will only be able to see it in Serato, not on the CDJs' screen) and you even have more function such as slicer, loop roll, sampler etc. which you can controll using an Add-On-Controller such like the Pioneer DDJ-SP1 or Relop Neon. Also, you get the sound quality, that your mixer or soundcard has!

@@DOZEMusic You loose the sound quality of the pre-amps on the Line in of the mixer, a soundcard will never beat a mixer at sound quality any day

Is it possible to use 4 decks on serato with 2 CDJs? For example decks 1&3 on left CDJ, decks 2&4 on the right CDJ and all 4 channels on the mixer in use?
Hi there, this isn't possible, you will need to use 4 CDJs.

if you’re using a new MacBook should you get a usb to usb-C for the mixer instead of a hub?
If the Mac have 4 USB-C connections, you can buy Chroma Cables type C, but, if the Mac only have 2 connections you would need to buy a HUB.
I’m not getting the option to use any deck when I press the incoder nub I just see on the screen it’s connecting I’m using a pair of nexus 2000 and a Rane 62 mixer together with my Mac

How connect two laptop and move from one laptop to another in hid mode CDJ2000 nxs2 and pioneer DJM900nxs2 without having to turn off the music?, Make a video please
Dj Enzo Balsamo It looks like the DJM 900 nxs 2 has two slots for USB cables so you could plug in two laptops simultaneously during the transition. I’m guessing steps would be
DJ #1 has both CDJS and mixer plugged in during his set.
DJ # 2 comes in and plugs the mixer into his computer as well while DJ #1 is still playing. Depending upon what deck DJ #1 is currently playing off of, DJ #2 will plug the opposite CDJ into his USB hub and load up his track.
On the mixer, DJ #2 would change the corresponding channel for his first track to USB B because the previous DJ #1 would have both channels set to USB A.
Now DJ #2 should be able to play the song and mix it into DJ #1’s song.
Once you’ve completed the transition DJ #2 would plug in the second CDJ to his USB hub and change the corresponding channel on the mixer to USB B.
Now DJ #2 can play his set as normal and repeat the steps for any additional DJs.

Can I just connect 2 CD players and use their line out to my "old" mixer, that had no USB of fancy technollogy stuff ? :-)
You will need an audio interface in order to complete this setup.

If you're wanting to play music from the external drive in Serato DJ, you will need to connect it to your computers USB port.

Not with HID mode. If you choose to use control CDs or USB then you will need a DVS license.

Is Serato DJ Pro enough or do i Need the essentials Version?
Hi. The Essentials bundle includes licenses that allow you to use extra features, however these are not required to use CDJ's in HID mode.
The USB hub isn't necessary if you have 3 USB ports on your laptop. Right? :/ 2x USB 2.0 and 1xUSB 3.0. One of the USB 2.0 is a USB C but i have an adapter.
Hey, yes that's right - Direct connection will always be preferable to a USB hub if you have a computer that has enough ports :)

Hello. It largely depends on the primary hardware you are connected to. If it requires a license to activate then yes you would need to purchase a license to use HID mode, if it comes built-in to the mixer/interface, no. You can find these details on our hardware page: serato.com/dj/hardware
Will it work in the case of XDJ 700's ?
We don't have any plans to support these currently I'm afraid.

We recommend you plug your supported hardware (mixer/interface) directly into your computer USB port and only have your CDJs and external hard drive connected to your USB hub.

You DO NOT NEED the club kit if your using HID mode. Only timecode CDs or timecode vinyl use the club kit. That's why Serato based controllers just work out of the box without having to purchase Serato DJ Pro.

@@roderickastley502 no need!! just buy the serato dj license and you're all good with HID mode!! Club kit does contain serato dj license and dvs license which you dont need the DVS license.. you only need DVS if you want to use timecode either with the CDJ or turntables

Not the biggest fan of this.
If they are supported serato units, then maybe FULL HID control would be enabled.
The fact that the waveforms are not showing up is a huge let down for this.
